Meeting minutes for August 30th, 2021 Call to order: 8:03 pm What is Circle K? • Circle K is an International collegiate service organization with a club here at Binghamton University! Circle K International (CKI) promotes service, leadership, and fellowship with over 13,000 members worldwide. What do we do? • We organize events and fundraisers to give back to our campus, community, nation and even the world. Last Year’s Events • Techworks • VINES • APO Mask Making Collab • Animal Adventure Upcoming Events • Mom’s House o We will be going to Mom’s House to help wash windows, clean gutters, weed, etc. Snacks provided! • Day of Caring o Friday, September 10th, a group of our members are participating in the Broome County United Way Day of Caring o Fri. Sep. 10th 9am-12pm o Deadline to sign up TOMORROW by 10am • VINES Picnic Volunteers o Sat. Sept. 18th 11:30am-5pm o Registration coming this week – deadline to sign up 9/8! o Lots of different shifts! • District Large Scale Service Project o CKI clubs from across the state get together for a few days and volunteer together at large service projects organized by the district o Save the date: Sept. 15-17 • Food Bank of the Southern Tier o Tues. Sept. 28th 9am-12pm o Registration coming this week – deadline to sign up 9/20! o Distributing Emergency Food • Roberson Museum Exhibit Opening o Thurs. Sept. 30th 5:30-7:30pm o Greeting & Checking in Guests o Registration coming this week o Deadline to register: 9/20 • Community Opportunities Fair o Circle K will be tabling to encourage more students to join Circle K o Save the Date: Tues. Oct. 5th 11am-3pm Mandela Room • RAMP-It-Up with Kiwanis o We will be helping Kiwanis build handicap accessible ramps for needy area residents o Save the Date: Oct. 22-23 Other Upcoming Events • Broome County Public Library • Boo at the Zoo/Howloween

Dues & Committee Chair Applications • If you would like to become an official member of Circle K International, there is a small yearly fee, also known as dues • $12.00 for the entire year • Insurance at CKI events • Official member of CKI • ID card, pins, etc. Committee Chair Applications • We still have committee chair positions open (for new and returning members!) • Great way to grow your involvement with the club • Positions include: Gov.
