Meeting Activities
Members enjoy ice cream donated to the club after hearing Binghamton’s founding Circle K president speak about how Binghamton has changed.
The Service Chair on Service Activities
My name is Mary Liberty and I am the Service Chair of Circle K. Every other week, I help organize a service event for our members to participate in that in some way benefits the community. Recently, the club made no-slip socks to be donated to a local nursing home in Owego. I found the idea when researching service activities online and thought that it would be a fun way to give back. We used Puffy Paint and made fun designs on the bottom of socks to make them no-slip so elderly people can keep their feet warm and reduce the likelihood of falling. We hope that the nursing home will put these socks to good use!
Southern Tier Divisional
Everything came full circle after returning to Binghamton for yet another elections divisional. Around this time last year, I was elected and had the privilege this year of serving as the Southern Tier Lieutenant Governor - a mentor, advisor, and friend to all of the clubs and club officers in this area: Bing, Cornell, Corning CC, Elmira College, and Ithaca College. To host a divisional and elect my successor at the very same school - not to mention same building and floor, too - as where my journey started was pretty nostalgic. I remember practicing a speech with solid points and ideas thoughtfully planned out, but it basically all went out the window when I stood before everyone and spoke. Looking back on this experience, it makes me laugh, but also smile, because while it was such a goofy speech, I felt like I accomplished most of what I originally set out to do and left each club better than how I found it. To be able to see each club thrive with new service projects, clear plans and goals for themselves, and the confidence to achieve it all has been so fulfilling. It’s one thing to
accomplish a task, but it’s quite something else to mentor others and see them take on their own projects. I never imagined being where I am today, and I now find
myself looking towards a particular quote for reflection: “there’s a future you who is glad you never gave up.” As I stood in Binghamton for one more divisional, I felt myself looking back at me on Election Day, so proud of the journey I went through to become the person now passing on the torch. - Brendon Nguyen

Farewell from our President
I can't believe my term as President is coming to an end! Being President has been one of my greatest accomplishments here at Binghamton. I have learned so much from my fellow peers and it has been a privilege to work alongside some of the most compassionate and genuine people I have ever met.
My Circle K journey is a fun one to look back on.
When I was a freshman, I attended my first Circle K meeting. I continued to attend the meetings by myself all throughout freshman year and realized that Circle K was definitely an organization I wanted to be a part of throughout my college career. Eventually, I convinced some of my friends, Isaac, Danny, Jeff, and Liam, to join Circle K during our sophomore year. Their participation made Circle K even more fun, and it
became our tradition to attend the weekly meetings and some service events as a group. Circle K really brought us all closer. I found myself becoming more and more involved through my roles as the PR Committee Chair during my sophomore year and Editor during my junior year, and was super excited to take it up a notch and run for President!
My time as President has been very fulfilling. From directing the weekly meetings, to organizing service events, and to interacting with all of the great members, I've always had the best time. Being a part of an organization that aims to serve the greater good has made my college
experience amazing, and for that, I will always be grateful. I will miss Binghamton and Circle K so much! -
