NEWS FROM HART-WOOD HEADQUARTERS rN LOS ANGELES
Announcement has been made by Mr. Joseph Rolando, manager of the Steamship Department of the Hart-Wood Lumber Company, of some important changes that have been made in the command of some of the vessels in their fleet.
_ Upon the completion of the reconditioning o,f the Pt. Loma, Capt. S. Benson, commander of the- Hart-Wood fleet, was transferred to this boat which had been made lhe flag ship of the fleet. The Quinault was formerly the flagship.
Capt. Olson was transferred from the Claremont to the Quinault, and Capt. Eustrom from the Solano to the Claremont. Capt. Rustadt, who brought the Pt. Loma from the other coast, was given command of the Solano.

EARL HOFFMAN TAKES SOUTHERN TRIP
Mr. Earl lloffman, of the Earl Hoffman Company, has been in San Diego .for the last few days, attending to various business matters.

Mr. Paul Masters, well known and liked Los Angeles manager for the Nettleton Lumber Company, is home, brown and happy from a three weeks vacation trip to the northwest.
Paul, accompanied by Mrs. Masters, went north byrboat, and enjoyed a sight seeing trip to many of the mills in and around Seattle. They also visited with relative$ in Seattle.

Stockton Sets New Building Record
The city of Stockton points with pride to the new building record hung up during the month of September.
The total value of permits for this rnonth was $316,615.00, this being more than double the amount for the same month, last year.
