On June 27th the Burleson Key Clubbers held a baby sitting fund raiser at South Burleson Baptist Church from 11 am to 10 p.m. The key clubbers charged $2/child per hour for the service. For two children the rate is $3/hour. Three children increased the rate to $4/hour, and with four children the rate is $5/per hour. There were two rooms; one for five years and younger and one for six years and up. There was at least two members in each room at all times with five others on deck. The five and under room was organized with multiple activities while the six and older room will be more lenient. The five and below kids started the morning with a movie at 11 am. A Splash Into Service Members have a pool party social

On June 24th Key Club officers and members held a social at Paulina’s Borowski’s house at 5:00 p.m. The Board decided that secretary Skyelar Armstrong would bring watermelon to cut while everyone else brought snacks and drinks. The Key Club social was almost canceled due to rain, but our advisor Mrs Hughes decided that we would have fun under the patio until it stopped raining. Our advisor also suggested that we play a game called spoons while we wait for the rain to subside. This game consisted of seven spoons, one less than the number of people playing. Each person was dealt four cards; they were given a new card and must “through away” one card each time a new cards was given. Key Club member

Paulina Borowski suggested that we have a consequence for those who lost each round. The consequence was that the members who lost had to jump into the pool. Each member took their “leap” into the pool until member Betty canizares was the last one.

LTG Letter to Clubs Hi everyone, I hope you all are having an amazing and eventful summer. I myself have taken this opportunity to relax and enjoy time with friends, but let’s not forget that Key Club is also active in the summer. Service is a never-ending virtue because it allows us to leave a lasting impact on the world around us. I am ecstatic for all the summer service ahead of us, and would love to interact with all the members in the division. Therefore, please don’t forget to invite me to any events that your club may have. I know that we will make a difference all around our community and bond even more as a family. To start off, the LTG of 1N and I are planning a joint

PCM. This is a chance for our division to get together and participate in a service project at the Salvation Army. We will discuss plans for the upcoming school year and answer any questions that you may have. I look forward to seeing you all there! Yours in service, An Bui- LTG 1S

Vanessa Castañeda has stuck with FUMC every week, thanks for all you do
