On September 3rd, Key Clubbers met for an exciting social/ pool party! They started off the event with an icebreaker, going around in a circle stating their names and a fun fact about them. At first, everyone was hesitant to participate but after chilling our for a while and eating some delicious pizza, the Key Clubbers became much more comfortable with one another. Everyone began getting in the pool and having a good time. Even President Skyelar Armstrong, who forgot to bring her bathing suit had a really great time being pushed into the pool by the Webmaster, Phong Le! The host of the party, known by some as “Overlord Kaiser was the winner of a jar of bubblegu after guessing the closest to the correct amount of gum in the jar. At the end of the party, everyone left with a smile on their face and a stronger love for the close bonds of Key Club.

Cowtown Classic really gave new members the opportunity to get to know our Kiwanis advisors. It also gave us the opportunity to grow closer as a club. We played games like Never Have I Ever and Concentration. We learned a lot about each other, maybe a little more than I would have liked to know. It did start sprinkling, a little rain never stops us from working!

Oh my, it was really hot and humid on the day of Trash Bash. We all got really big yellow shirts and looked kind of funny. We went to Hughes Middle School and picked up all of the trash there and then we walked to Mound Elementary School and picked up the trash that was there too. Afterwards, we were all so thirsty that we went to Sonic before heading back to Warren Park to end the day.
We are so thankful to Bahama Bucks for letting us have another fundraiser there. We got a profit of every item sold from 6p.m.-9p.m. While I wasn’t able to go, as I was sick, I did force my mom and sister to buy snowcones to help support our club.
