Letter From The President Dear Key Clubbers, December is now upon us and that means Christmas is coming! It’s my favorite holiday because this season is all about giving, so remember to give back to your loved ones and your community. Come to more events this month like the Beautiful Feet Hayride, which is one of my personal favorites. You get to pick out gifts for underprivileged kids. You pretty much get to become these kids’ Santa, and it really will warm you heart. Have a happy holiday y’all, and remember to give give give! With love, President Obama /Nature
Letter From The Treasurer Hey guys! I hope all of you had an amazing Thanksgiving! I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for all the hard work that you do. I appreciate the fact that you give up your Wednesday mornings and Saturdays to help us volunteer and make a difference in the world. Thanks to all of our wonderful members who helped us stay in the Top 25 Clubs! Thank you guys for all your hard work! Tyra

Cool Key Club Kids
Key Club Week was an exciting week at the beginning of November where Key Clubbers from all around participated in Key Clubby things! Here’ what our club did for each day.
Monday: Show your K in Every Way On Monday, we showed our K in every way by wearing our Key Club shirts, past or present!
Tuesday : Kudos to the Key Players On Tuesday, we took sticky notes and wrote nice notes to the Key Players in our life, sticking them to their room doors as a gift of recognition! Wednesday: Dare to Care On Tuesday, we dared to care by holding a special fund raiser for March of Dimes!
Thursday: Random Acts of Kindness On Thursday, we performed random acts of kindness throughout the day, be it giving a friend extra homework help or simply holding a the door open for a stranger. F r i d a y : C o n n e c t t h e K ’s On Friday, we held a Committee Sign-Up Party, inviting the Kiwanis to come join us for an hour of committee sign-ups, social time, and service. 4
Member Of the Month This month’s MOM is Urvi Dalal! Urvi was chosen because she is always staying involved and can always be found with a smile on her face. Though it may be argued that the only reason she shows up to everything has to do with her sister Shivani forcing her to events, Urvi’s constant presence at service events is greatly appreciated. Congratulations, Urvi!

Project Sleeping Bag On November 7th, Key Clubbers woke up bright and early to travel to Fort Worth and serve breakfast to the homeless. This event was part of a much bigger project that provides homeless people with necessities such as hygienic items, clothes, or simply a sleeping bag to keep warm. Thus, the Clubbers helped a specific cause this brisk morning, serving breakfast to over 100 people. Treasurer Tyra Marks and Secretary Shivani Dalal both experienced a heartwarming moment as a single father came through the line to get items not for himself but for his three kids. On this frosty day, Clubbers learned the importance of being selfless not only by handing out food but by learning from the less
Build a Bear Bash On Friday,November 7th (right after Project Sleeping Bag), the Key Clubbers of BHS got their Build a Bear on at the mall, where they each spent time and money building bears that will be given away at the December Beautiful Feet Hay Ride. While some Clubbers made a bear on their own, many of the members coupled up to make a child between them; some even practiced polygamy with groups of three and more. These couples were able to choose their bear, kiss the heart that went inside, dress it, name it, and take it home. Many members thoroughly enjoyed this social event, knowing full and well that in a month’s time, they would be giving their bear to a child in a lessfortunate neighborhood at the Beautiful Feet Hay Ride. On this beautiful November day, Clubbers built both bears and bonds of friendship.

Operation Christmas Child On November 20th, Key Clubbers met at Dollar Tree for a special operation. Unknown to the workers at Dollar Tree, the magnificent store would become a place where potentially life-changing activities took place. For this special operation, Key Clubbers put together boxes to ship to third world countries as Christmas gifts to those who normally never receive gifts during the holiday season. Clubbers first scoped out the store for items, grabbing things from all different aisles. Clubbers collected hygienic items, socks, gloves, school supplies, toys, and more. Next, Clubbers grouped these items into boxes, sealing them up to ship to another country. Who knew Dollar Tree would be the location at which Key Clubbers would build boxes that will mean the world to certain kids miles and miles away?
Scavenging For Food in Cans On November 21st, Key Clubbers raised about 100 non-perishable food items and hygienic items at their annual Canned Food Scavenger Hunt. Members went door to door asking people for donations for the Harvest House pantry in order to stock up for the upcoming holiday season. The members had lots of fun despite the cold weather howling as they went door to door, meeting strangers, friends, and even classmates to ask for donations. Needless to say, the small event was a success! 8
