It's time to celebrate all things crab.
More than just pet hates.
This week's mantra - Feel it all without responding.
Stop negative projections on your nearest and dearest.
Two pregnant belly casts and a ride on lawn mower.

Around Town This Week
It’s all about getting on your bike for a good cause in Byron lately, with this weekend offering a brilliant opportunity to help raise awareness and funds for suicide and depression while enjoying a fun day out. The Byron installment of the Black Dog Ride, a oneday motorbike ride supporting Lifeline, will depart from the Treehouse restaurant at Belongil at 9:30am on Sunday, with registration from 8am. If you missed Frenzal Rhomb in Byron last fortnight, this Sunday night brings another chance to indulge in some punk rock nostalgia courtesy of The Living End. The Melbourne trio took a five-year hiatus before dropping their seventh album, Shift. They will be playing at The Northern on the Byron leg of their Staring Down The Highway regional tour, supported by The Bennies and Good Boy; doors from 8pm. Next week, it’s time to celebrate all things crab. At Balcony Bar & Oyster Co, at least, which will be launching its month-long Crab Carnival on Monday. Running until 16th April, the crustacean-fest aims to ‘get you out of your shell’ and up to Balcony to gorge on its crab-themed menu, soak up its cocktail and beer specials, and join in on its weekly crab-tastic events. See you there! Words: Sarah Reid, @ecotravelist

2 Cents Worth Got Something To Say?
PET HATES SUPPORTER, Ben Quinn Response to “Pet Hates“ (Issue 126 9th Mar) Could not agree more! Myself and my partner, wanting to get involved as foster carers with local dog shelter CAWI, have been searching for months for pet-friendly rentals that are remotely affordable/not a million miles away. Renting in Byron is already a nightmare; give responsible animal lovers a chance! JUDGING, JUDGING EYES, Anonymous Response to “Judging Eyes“ (Issue 126 9th Mar) Dear Judging Eyes. While I applaud your ability to even get yourself and children out of the house at anytime let alone after a horrible nights sleep, I have no desire to listen to ABC kids whilst I have breakfast with my friends. Just like you or your children do not want to hear the conversation with my girlfriends about some hot dude I banged last night. So my compromise is this. I'll speak quieter and you put headphones on the kids. Maybe the judging eye has to do with everyone else having to listen to it, not so much the actual act! Remember anyone that judging is dealing with their own sh#t and you also feel guilty, so take on board their stuff. ABC it up with headphones I say! Keep being awesome. Congrats JUDGING, JUDGING EYES, your submission has won you a $25 Get Toasted Voucher! Email at hello@byronbazaar.com to claim your prize. What are your thoughts on “JUDGING, JUDGING EYES”? Keep the convo going! Submit your 2 Cents Worth at byronbazaar.com/2cents

Dear Keenwa, I went to the beach with my mum on the weekend and was horrified to discover her new super 'brief' swimmers. She's always been on trend, but how do I break it to her kindly that she's gone too far this time? - Cheeky Daughter Dear Cheeky Daughter, According to the experts (The Kardashians) full coverage in fact makes you look wider. We all know when it comes to bums less is more, and have you tried to drop a decent selfie with granny style bikini bottoms on? The chances of a thousand likes are slim, my friend. Just because your old lady is umm old, it doesn't mean she's safe from social media's voyeurism. Unless you want your mum to look like she's wearing a nappy for her incontinence, I suggest you stock up on SPF 50 like it's 1989. (If you need help with that, she'll probs remember.) Dear Keenwa, I recently had an incident with my moon cup, whereby it made a solo exit down a public toilet bowl. I managed to fish it out, but is this a bin it or boil it situation? - Moon Bowl Dear Moon Bowl, Those things set you back at least three redbacks, so I'm calling it as a definite take it home and boil her up until she's as good as new kind of situation. Although, $60 is nothing compared to the 19 thousand dollars women spend on average per lifetime on non-reusable feminine hygiene products, which doesn't include upkeep, maintenance, illness and accidents. Until the 17-30% pay gap between genders is bridged, you might want to keep your eye on the bowl girlfriend, as owning and running a yoni ain't cheap. Have a question for KEENWA? Ask her anything... byronbazaar.com/dearkeenwa

THIS WEEK’S MANTRA - FEEL IT ALL WITHOUT RESPONDING
"Feel it all, without responding.” - Elena Brower Can you feel it all, just as it is? Without responding, without justifying, without filtering, analysing or labelling? Just feel it. The whole thing. Be it a "good" feeling or a "bad" feeling. Be it blissful or wounded or grateful or gutted…surrender yourself to it. Saturate yourself in it. Let the full depth and breadth of the feeling reveal itself to you. When you ALLOW without responding you invite in the conditions to fully experience and understand (and when needed, transform) your feelings. Feeling the whole feeling is the foundation for alchemizing it into something useful, potent and progressive. Pushing down, skipping over, stunting, or cutting short the feeling limits its expression. Which limits your capacity to live your full expression. And we need all of you. Feel it all, fully.

We are moving into quite unsettled times! On Saturday a Sun/Saturn square may trigger self-esteem issues, doubt and limitations; some people may feel a compulsion to prove themselves. In the evening a Mercury/Venus retrograde conjunction in Aries might foster a rather egocentric outlook. These influences create a lot of tension and make negative projections onto our nearest and dearest likely. We might have to mop up the fall-out on Sunday, which is a rather friendly day. On Monday evening the Sun’s ingress into Aries marks the Autumn Equinox. For the next ten days we have four planets (Sun, Mercury, Venus and Uranus) in Aries; this increases fiery assertiveness, impatience and competition. For many people it might be beneficial to work out vigorously in order to let off steam. For the bigger picture read your Sun, Moon and Rising signs. A Tarot card is drawn for each astrological sign.
g
a
h
b
i
c
Aries The 2 of Cups speaks of love, not as a concept to be inspired by, but as everyday choice and quality of action. When you are coming from love, you nurture yourself in the same way as you look after your loved ones. Everything you do is infused by a generous, benevolent and compassionate spirit. Taurus The Death Tarot card implies that the time for profound change has come. The Bull likes to stay in denial of this as long as possible; however the resistance that you put up against letting go and moving on is equal to the pain you feel. Whether it is about things, people or old patterns, the old must go to make room for the new! Gemini The 5 of Disks symbolises entrapment in old, habitual worry patterns that come up by default when stress levels rise. Notice that as soon as you are in mental overdrive and you get lost in ‘what if’ scenarios, you are removed and disconnected from the present which is, most likely, not as bad as you visualise the future to be. Make it a discipline to stay in the moment with what is here right now as much as possible.
j
Cancer Many of our problems and bewilderments occur
in our personal and professional relationships. When the Devil appears it is time to take stock and consider your options. The current astrological flavour makes dysfunction, codependency or addictive behaviour even more apparent. If you feel that you are a prisoner of your own choices it is time to liberate yourself from that bondage.
k
Leo The Emperor represents leadership and power which are applied in a strategic, male and hopefully benevolent way. You might be involved in important negotiations right now; your courage and vision need to be employed to empower others and serve all in the best way possible. Don’t allow the ego and pride to take over.
l
Virgo The 8 of Swords symbolises a time of nervous tension, confusion and inner turmoil. It is important to not jump to conclusions right now, and delay making important decisions. Over-analysing your situation or the actions of another person only creates more doubt and worry. Also try to refrain from controlling the uncontrollable; soon you’ll see more clearly...
Libra With the Empress drawn it looks like your wise counsel and capacity to heal, comfort and nurture is very much in demand this week. Just make sure that you don’t wear yourself out looking after others by trying to bring more love and harmony into everyone’s daily life. Time out in nature recharges your batteries best. Scorpio The Knight of Cups is often called the ‘knight in shining armour’; he is seductive, charming and loves romance. Whether you are the one who offers your heart and soul to someone special, or you are on the receiving side, may this be a heart-opening and spiritually uplifting time. Graciously giving and receiving in trust is a wonderful present. Sagittarius Magic is in the air for you this week and your creative power is high-lighted! The Magician is a master and has brought his skills of right timing, right action and focus to perfection; this way he creates miraculous results. You might be able to make reality out of what other people only dream about...
d
Capricorn The Ace of Swords represents mental clarity, innovation and originality. Your intellect is sharp and you are inclined to think creatively and outside the box. You might have a great insight, an ‘aha’ moment or two, or you might be able to resolve a difficult problem or situation that has been disturbing your peace for a while.
e
Aquarius The Princess of Wands is the quintessential free spirit; this week she comes as an invitation to carefully examine the trappings of your own mind. She asks: ‘How do you limit yourself?’ and ‘Are you holding on to old fears from the past?’ This is the week to walk right past your old demons into a new, liberated reality.
f
Pisces The 2 of Swords indicates your longing for inner peace and harmony. Trying to avoid conflict might not be possible this week, unless you are willing to tread on eggshells. Therefore it is best to look at all sides of a problematic situation and find the common denominator. This is the key for resolution and your peace of mind.

Q&A
A Quick Chat With ...
JESSE MORGAN
Director of Embrace Exercise Physiology How is exercise physiology different from regular physio? While both are university qualified accredited, exercise physiologists (AEP) will generally prescribe exercise to prevent, manage and treat chronic diseases and injuries. And what is the basic science behind it? Our bodies generally will adapt to stressors we place upon it (positive or negative). Therefore we look at the science based around how our bodies work at rest or during activity. The average Joe right through to athletes will benefit from a specific guided program. Are you different to a personal trainer? Yes, we hold a 4 year university degree and are continually looking at the latest evidence to help get to where you want to be. We also are qualified to manage clients with medical conditions where a personal trainer is only qualified to work with the “healthy” population. It’s not just for people with injuries, what else can you help with? Yes, we don’t just work with people with musculoskeletal injuries. Our scope covers cardiopulmonary (heart & lungs), neurological, mental health, metabolic illnesses and more. We also work on improving performance for athletes or people just wanting to move better in life i.e being able to perform better in their chosen sport or activity. How many pairs of trainers do you own? One for each day of the week with matching shirt and socks ;) What’s the biggest common mistake you find that causes the need for EP? I tend to see a fair few back injuries more or less directly related to poor postures or caused by improper movement patterns. These injuries normally occur when lifting. The other things we generally see are people with lifestyle related diseases. What are 3 easy ways to move more each day? Sit less, chairs are the killer. Dust off that push bike of yours and ride to work, also could help congestion in town! Find something that is fun and keep doing it. If it’s not fun, are you going to keep doing it? What do you do personally to keep fit at home? Pretty boring actually, surfing, running and hitting the gym. Summer or winter ? Winter for sure, all the summer crew have migrated and good swells are looming. And of course a fire and tea, can’t beat a fire to warm up the bones.
Want to know more about EP? Check out Embrace EP at embraceep.com.au
