Maybe a positive parenting course would have been more appropriate advice to the non coping grand-parents. The only thing that is constant or consistent in life is CHANGE. You cannot beat the power and force of nature. We had our warning just last week. Mother nature spoke to a lot of people on the eastern seaboard. We obviously don’t like being known as the “Pothole Capital of Australia”, so I think we need to give credit where credit is due. I am definitely not a card-carrying member of the Byron Shire Council fan club, but it’s certainly nice to have the freshly paved road on the way south out of Suffolk Park. Not longer do you have to subject your suspension and back to the spine-jarring canyons that used to cover the road heading out of town, making it safer for vehicles and cyclists. If this is one of the benefits to having paid parking in town (besides it being SOOOO much easier to find a spot to park) then I’m all in favour. They’ve certainly got a long “To Do” List for infrastructure upgrades, but this is a pretty good start.
