What time is it? There’s an interesting event in Bangalow today at 2:30pm as part of the Byron Writers Festival. Our local queen cook Belinda Jeffery will be in conversation with author/presenter/foodie Indira Naidoo. She’s got a new book out ‘The Edible City’; pick up your $10 ticket from the Bangalow newsagency (6687 1396). Tonight in Byron, the beautiful sounds of Dustin Tebbutt are going to be filling up the Community Centre. Think of an Australian version of Bon Iver…you definitely would have heard his tunes on Triple J. If you can still find a ticket, it would worth grabbing. Also on tonight over in Mullumbimby, Bob Brown and The Greens will be speaking at the Civic Hall at 6:30pm. Then on Friday night, as part of the Byron Writers Festival, cartoonist Michael Leunig will be at Byron Theatre. That goes from 6pm to 7pm and then Paul Kelly will be playing. What a special night! There’s too much on this weekend to list but we do recommend you polish off the weekend at the Chocolate Festival at the Lennox Community Centre.
