We all know how lucky we are to have such a great local independent radio station – Bay FM. The crew there sure do know how to have a good time and they have a couple of fundraisers on this week. On Friday night at the Brunswick Hotel the legendary Tijuana Cartel are playing. It’s just a gold coin donation to get in and have yourself some good times. If you can’t be there in person, there will be a live link with Chop Suey on the radio. Then on Saturday night the Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond show on Bay FM are putting on an Arabian night fundraiser at the Drill Hall in Mullum (tickets are $20). At the Byron Community Centre on Saturday, there’s also an event you seriously have to get to if you can. It’s called The Gratitude Lifeclass and it’s being presented by TEDx speaker and author Toni Powell. It’s all about ﬁnding a simple way to a happier life...sounds good to us. An entertaining mix of science, real life stories and simple solutions backed by years of research into how the brain works. All about why we are unhappy and how one practice can change everything.
