Tarotscopes WEEKLY TAROT FORECAST
THURSDAY’S FULL MOON IN TAURUS
has a surprise factor built in with Moon conjunct Uranus. Taurus values security whereas Uranus thrives on change and revolution; when the two come together strange and bizarre things can happen! Also we have Sun, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in Scorpio; all of them are concerned with keeping things under control and private. Maybe there will be unexpected revelations anyway. On Saturday Sun and Venus join each other; the vibe is more friendly and harmonious, but still intense. Idealism and romance might blossom. This aspect may also generate great inspiration for creative writing! On Sunday a Sun/Saturn sextile adds ambition and drive to any endeavour. On Monday and Tuesday another unlikely union happens; Mercury, the planet for communication joins expansive Jupiter in introvert Scorpio! What is expressed and what stays unspoken may be equally important. It is essential to use your intuition and to look beyond the obvious at the bigger picture in any interaction. The beginning of the week offers great potential for healing relationship issues and self-destructive patterns; Mercury and Jupiter form a grand water trine with Chiron (exact on Tuesday). Don’t be afraid of tender and vulnerable conversations; they may create the connection, intimacy and understanding you desire. For the bigger picture read your Sun, Moon and Rising signs. A Tarot card is drawn for each astrological sign.

g ARIES
The World Tarot card may inspire you to truly express your free spirit and individuality. You are a natural explorer and pioneer and you thrive on ideas and projects that incorporate your unique gifts and talents. You won’t allow anyone to limit or restrict you or your perspective.
h TAURUS
Security and stability is important in your world, but it gets you stuck in a rut at times. The Prince of Swords appears to shake it all up and to make you aware of some of your old habits that don’t serve you anymore. It might be beneficial to analyse thoughts, attitude, and beliefs that have passed their use-by date and find ways to let them go.
i GEMINI
The Knight of Cups is often called ‘Prince Charming’; he brings good news, a gift and may also indicate romantic times. All you need to do is to be open and receptive to his offerings. Allow yourself to be moved, uplifted and maybe even healed by his openheartedness.
j CANCER
The 10 of Disks symbolises inner and outer riches, with the underlying theme of worthiness. The more you align yourself with the idea of deserving prosperity and abundance, the easier they flow towards you. Without it all the effort you put into creating success will only get you halfway there.

With the Knight of Disks drawn you may experience weariness and yet you are not inspired to acknowledge and change what drains your energy. Maybe you just don’t feel as full of life as usual, and therefore you settle for small gains or make excuses. Take some time off to recharge your batteries and find a more upbeat attitude to your everyday life.
l VIRGO
The Sun Tarot card shines her brilliant light onto you and it is time to celebrate life! Reach out to friends, family, partners and kids, and find simple ways to have fun. It will energise and vitalise your body and your relationships. It is like vitamin D that you need to absorb for a more healthy lifestyle.
a LIBRA
The Lovers Tarot card represents the quintessential reason for being alive for anyone living in a Libran world. Heart and soulful connection to your loved ones are especially rewarding and fulfilling during this week. Just by example you teach others about the art and craft of relationships!
b SCORPIO
The Temperance Tarot card points to fine-tuning and balancing your everyday life. Avoid excess of any kind and allow some time for visualising how you would live in a world where you found a way of accepting or blending all paradoxes and oppositions that you currently experience.
HYDE & STONE
c SAGITTARIUS
The Ace of Wands is the archetype of the raw, untamed creative force that needs to be channelled into a worthwhile direction, otherwise it may become destructive. You feel fired up and there is plenty of energy available for you to courageously actualise more of your full potential.
d CAPRICORN
The Ace of Swords offers the big gift of clear thought and single-minded focus. Your mental clarity and honesty cut through any confusion and bring resolution to any difficult situation. Great ideas and ways to implement them may seemingly fall from the sky – use them wisely.
e AQUARIUS
When the Tower Tarot card appears it is time to surrender and stop trying to control the uncontrollable. Sudden changes that most likely appear during the Full Moon time might throw you into inner chaos. Instead of resisting them, just be kind and gentle with yourself and allow the transformation to take place.
f PISCES
The Star Tarot card nudges you to actualise some creative ideas you have been incubating for a while. Not for the purpose of getting rich and famous, but as soul-nourishment that you provide for yourself while you are totally immersed and absorbed by a project you love.

DEAR KEENWA, I've only just moved to The Bay, but I have the most incredible group of friends already. They are always 'holding space' for me. I'm not exactly sure what this means, but apparently, I should be so grateful and blessed for their efforts. Wtf is it? How much does it cost? - #soblessed
DEAR #SOBLESSED, Space Holder is the number one profession in the town of Mullumbimby. Notably thrown around when someone from there wants something for free, that will cost you. The title is often used as a trick to make you think like you have to pay them back for something that the government is paying them in pension. It’s something that makes a taker look like a giver, falsely so. Here's something I'll tell you that won't cost a thing, find friends that are grown up enough to hold their own damn space, and not tempted to use you as their emotional compost bin.
DEAR KEENWA, I'm here in Byron on a backpacking holiday and by chance met the most amazing local man. He has an incredible vision for the future of the world which involves fathering as many cross-cultural children as he can, to bring more love and light into the universe. He wants us all to live together on a farm growing organic veggies. He has six children to four different women already (they seem really lovely) but something just doesn't feel right. Thoughts? - Rainbow Warrior
DEAR RAINBOW WARRIOR, A bit of googling tells me that Rainbow children are usually born to a Crystal adult and choose to incarnate into stable families, whereas, their processors, the Indigos chose dysfunctional environments. Rainbows are new souls. They come without the baggage of previous incarnations, and are usually psychic or extremely intuitive. You might want to ask one of his children, “outside of the 18 thousand dollars daddy has captured in baby bonus benefits, does he seem stable to you?”

HOW TO MEASURE A DAY.
Last week we covered how productivity is an overrated way to measure a day. Today, I present a list of 11 more meaningful ways to measure our days: 1. Presence: Did you find opportunities to single-task? Did you listen well? Did you put down your phone and look them in the eye? 2. Service: Were you of service to others? Did you lend an ear or hold a door? Did you do something in service of your soul or your self-care? 3. Gratitude: How much was there to be grateful for? What went well? What was beautiful? What did you appreciate?

THE BAY SITTERS
The Bay Sitters are a team of Byron Bay’s best babysitters! Reliable, affordable, fully certified and experienced. Call or text Ally on 0434 613 174 www.thebaysitters.com
4. Connection: Did you have moments of connection and intimacy? Were you vulnerable and available? 5. Courage: How much of your day was spent staying true to yourself? Did you prioritise authenticity? Did you stretch outside of your comfort zone? 6. Truth: How clearly did you speak your truth? Did you honour the truth of others? Did you see the truth in a situation, even if it was in opposition to your preferences? 7. Empathy: Did you put yourself in someone else's shoes (especially before jumping to conclusions)? 8. Forgiveness: Did you forgive yourself well and often? Did you put petty bullshit to bed and forgive others? 9. Recognition: Did you tell them how much you care? How they made a difference in your day? Were you recognised in some way? 10. Generosity: Did you share what you have? Did you go the extra mile? Did you give your gifts? 11. Joy: How many hidden treasures of happiness did you unearth? How many milliseconds of bliss? How many moments of remembering your freedom, agency and the big stroke of luck you had just by being born? Did you laugh? Tally up the joy. That's the way to measure a life that matters.

This week's review
TITLE: The Great Alone AUTHOR: Kristin Hannah NUMBER OF PAGES: 448 EST. READ TIME: 9 hours and 7 minutes PRICE: $25.70 WHAT IT'S ABOUT: Lenora Albright’s world is turned
upside down when her father, a Vietnam POW, decides to uproot their family and move to Alaska. At first, the move appears a welcome reprieve from Lenora’s father’s constant nightmares and abusive behaviour but things soon escalate, taking a turn for the worst. Set against Alaska’s rough terrain, harsh climate and wild beauty we journey with Lenora as she grows from a girl into a young woman.
WHO IT'S FOR: The Great Alone is for adventurers and
wanderlust types. The book centres on family drama and a small town community but is also paired against incredible descriptions of the Alaskan landscape.
WHY YOU SHOULD READ IT: This book creeps up on you
and sucks you into it’s world. Kristin Hannah has written a work of compelling fiction, one that gives it’s readers a sense of hopelessness and isolation. It showcases the double edged sword that is Alaska - it’s beauty and danger. I’ve never been to Alaska but The Great Alone makes me want to hop on a small plane, turn off my phone and immerse myself in nature.
NOTABLE QUOTE: “Everyone up here had two stories :
the life before and the life now. If you wanted to pray to a weirdo god or live in a school bus or marry a goose, no one in Alaska was going to say crap to you. No one cared if you had an old car on your deck, let alone a rusted fridge. Any Life that could be imagined could be lived up here.”

WHAT IS ABILITY SURF ALL ABOUT? Ability Surf
offers surf lessons and coaching for people with a disability in Lennox Head and Ballina. We provide individualised surf lessons to people with a disability specific to their needs and abilities so they can enjoy all the amazing benefits of surfing and being in the ocean. Lessons will start this summer!!!
ONE FAVOURITE MOMENT IN THE SURF? Dropping in on my brothers at the Pass and calling “party wave.”
HOW DID YOU MANIFEST THIS BUSINESS IDEA? After
attending one of the volunteer disability surfing days in Byron I was frothing with the realisation that I could combine my two passions - surfing and helping people with a disability. In my current job as an Occupational Therapist, I work with children with Autism. I saw a huge gap in the services provided to these families, and had visions of the kids I work with LOVING being in the ocean and shredding.
WHAT DOES SURFING MEAN TO YOU? Surfing is just the best thing ever created. To me, I always leave the surf a happier, more positive and calmer person.
HOW DO YOU THINK SURFING IMPACTS PEOPLE’S HAPPINESS? Being in the ocean and immersing yourself in its energy is liberating. It is meditative and helps you to be present in the moment, cleansing away your thoughts or worries. Being able to share this stoke with others offers a real sense of connection and belonging.
WHAT FACILITIES ARE REQUIRED TO MAKE YOUR JOB HAPPEN? We are a mobile facility accessing Lennox
Head and Ballina beaches. We have a licence from council for 3 years. All we need now are wetsuits and rash shirts. If you have any ideas on how to help Emma get wetsuits or rashies, contact abilitysurf.au@gmail.com
