DEAR KEENWA, I saw a wallaby on my way to get my chai this morning, which I know means I am moving forward in my life. Then a flock of black cockatoos flew past which I know means it will rain soon. Then there were fresh eucalyptus blossoms on the cafe table which reminded me of last night's dream, as it heavily featured the colour red. And I ran into my kids' best friend's mum who loves the colour red. Do you think I am on the right path? - I Think I Know Thyself?

DEAR I THINK I KNOW THYSELF?, The Buddha taught us that no phenomenon has independent existence, which Thich Nhat Hanh managed to make sound way prettier in his verse about clouds being inside paper. Jung tells me its synchronicity. And that's just the voices in my head today. Are you a Sagittarius by any chance?

DEAR KEENWA, I've met the most incredible woman, she's a lot younger than me but I’m pretty sure she digs my vibe, and I’ve just learnt to text! She's so inconsistent with her replies though, I’m confused, help! - Emojional

DEAR EMOJIONAL, Okay pops, let me introduce you to the phenomenon that is curving. Essentially, it’s a way to let someone down without actually telling them you’re not keen. These peeps like to leave you hanging via text, taking days (sometimes weeks) to reply – and more often than not, when they finally do, their response is kinda… meh. For these mofo's, it’s easier to have short, boring interactions rather than directly state they don’t want to see you. I know you feel deeply confused but let's get real here, you know deep down that they're just not into you right? The real devil here is a thang called hope.

Tarotscopes WEEKLY TAROT FORECAST

THIS IS THE WEEK TO GET THINGS DONE,

tick boxes and achieve goals. Venus in Capricorn is serious about business, finances and relationships. Right now she is sandwiched between Saturn (discipline) and Pluto (transformation). Thursday and Friday are great days to focus on commercial endeavours and boost professional connections. During the weekend the Venus/Pluto fusion intensifies feelings, and the urge to change, control or force relationships might bring struggle for some. Others may stay extremely cool under pressure… Mercury in Pisces is quite otherworldly and the sextile to Pluto (exact on Sunday) addresses the deeper and hidden questions in life. A Mercury/Jupiter square, also on the weekend, supports a philosophical outlook, but there is the danger of premature or unbalanced conclusions, inner tension and rash action. On Tuesday Venus aligns with the South Node; here is a great opportunity to shift gears, from unconscious habits that might be sabotaging your personal progress, towards more effective and ultimately fulfilling behaviour. For the bigger picture read your Sun, Moon and Rising signs. A Tarot card is drawn for each astrological sign.

This week the Ace of Disks sets you right on course to achieve concrete results. Your outlook is very practical and optimistic. Your ability to shape your reality and to make it a successful one is strong, and you surely manifest what you want.

h TAURUS

The 6 of Cups focuses on sensual pleasures and blissful times. At the same time, as an earth sign you may experience the Capricornian influence acutely. Therefore you might feel torn between wanting to sit back, relax and enjoy life, and working long hours to make progress with a project that is dear to you.

i GEMINI

The Prince of Cups represents the lover within. He lives from his passionate heart and for the fulfilment of his longings. With him by your side you can benefit from the Capricornian vibe, but only if work is fun and the fruits of your labour are closely linked to your heart-desires.

j CANCER

With the Princess of Disks drawn you may be incubating big dreams, and great plans might be hatched. Your creative power is at an all-time high and it is very gratifying to lay the groundwork for important, new projects. If you feel impatient remember that a lot of creation happens in the unseen and manifests in reality when the time is ripe.

BY GISELA

k LEO

The 10 of Cups represents the full and overflowing heart. Satisfaction is guaranteed and the feelings of well-being, joy and happiness are multiplied when you share them, not only with your nearest and dearest, but also with work colleagues and even random people you meet.

l VIRGO

The 7 of Cups points towards recognising and releasing old patterns of self-sabotaging habits. They show up as overworking, -eating, -shopping, or any other distractions that are substitutes for inner fulfilment, but which are not so effective any more. What would really nourish you right now?

a LIBRA

With the 7 of Wands drawn you might have to hold out against pressure this week. Take a risk and stand up for what you believe in. Your courage helps to make things more clear; as you name it and own it, you feel your convictions strongly, and asserting yourself makes your backbone grow.

b SCORPIO

The 3 of Cups represents good feelings and vibes all around you and within as well. As you share your love for friends, family, co-workers and life in general you generate a field of abundant heart energy that ripples out into the community and nourishes everyone who comes in contact with you.

HINTERLAND TREE SERVICES

c SAGITTARIUS

The Temperance Tarot card symbolises the principles of integration, synthesis and synergy. This week is all about avoiding excess and finding inner balance, which in turn creates outer peace and harmony. Your point of balance might be extremely individual and not comparable to others. Allow your unique essence to show you the way.

d CAPRICORN

With the Knight of Wands drawn you are ready to take a leap of faith and follow your vision even if it takes you into uncharted territory. As an earth sign you might feel the pressure of this week’s astro flavour strongly, but you fare best if you focus on your hard-earned confidence and can-do attitude.

e AQUARIUS

The 10 of Swords symbolises negativity that may stem from stressing about a particular issue. It can be so strong that it easily spreads like a wet blanket over your day’s experience. If you want to move this energy, remember your resilience, and find five things you are grateful for first thing in the morning.

f PISCES

The 2 of Wands indicates an inner struggle; often it involves pondering whether to assert yourself of let things blow over you for the sake of peace and harmony. Realistically, there can’t be peace if you start resenting the person involved or the situation. Take a risk, be bold, but watch out for the right timing before you act.

With Caitlin Cady

This week's mantra

LET’S BE OUR BEST FOR EACH OTHER. EVEN ON THE GOOD DAYS.

It’s funny how we really show up for each other when things are tough. Those unimaginably hard times. Like when life is almost lost. Or when unwanted news lands at our feet. Or when hard choices had to be made. Or when we are brought to our knees by illness. Or when death steals someone from us too soon. Something about tough times breaks down our boundaries in relationships. On both sides. Those who normally won’t let themselves be helped surrender to support. Those who normally don’t want to be pushy feel emboldened to show up and do what needs doing, politeness be damned. In this way, on our worst days, we actually get to see the best of the people who love us. Dinners are left on doorsteps. Time is carved out. Beloveds boldly barge in to give you support when you need it most but are too paralysed to ask for it. We witness the rawest, most intimate experiences of life - grief, loss, fear, heartbreak, shock. We experience the most powerful aspects of humanity - compassion, generosity, kindness, belonging, trust, gratitude. But why do we reserve this for our tragedies and traumas? Why does it take something traumatic to let ourselves be held? Why does it take something tragic for us to drop the facades of etiquette or busyness and just do our best and show up for each other? Let’s change that. Let’s make a pact. To drop by. To make time. To speak the truth. To listen. To make a dinner. To tell a secret. To ask for help. To be our best for each other. Even on the good days.

BOOKS FOR Y

This week's review

TITLE: The Au Pair AUTHOR: Emma Rous NUMBER OF PAGES: 384 EST. READ TIME: 7 hours and 48 minutes PRICE: $27.80 WHAT IT'S ABOUT: Seraphine’s father has just died in

a freak accident. As she cleans up his belongings she discovers a photograph that unlocks a pandora's box of family secrets. Why is there only one baby in the family photo when Seraphine is a twin? Why did her mother have a breakdown? Where did their au pair mysteriously disappear to and why? All will be revealed as family ties are unravelled in this old school mystery.

WHO IT'S FOR: Lovers of a gripping mystery novel. WHY YOU SHOULD READ IT: For some reason The Au Pair

reminds me of a really complicated game of Cluedo. One in which you keep second guessing yourself after reading each page. It’s difficult to have so many characters and intertwining stories but this book manages to find a happy balance. It’s set in a beautiful mansion where money seems to be no object but blood runs deep. This book had me on the edge of my seat and it’ll have you on the edge of yours.

NOTABLE QUOTE: “I tug the family photo from my bag

and peer at the baby again. I know I was the bigger twin when we were born - amusing, since Danny now towers over me - but I can’t judge the size of this cocooned infant. Edwin’s grin makes my throat tighten: four years old and oblivious to the fact that this was the last day he would ever spend with his mother.”

Q&A A Q U IC K C H

A T W IT H .. .

Michele Robertson @THEPRESSEDPANTRY HOW DID THE PRESSED PANTRY BEGIN? Honestly, I was working

a job that limited me, I always wanted my own business and loved the thought of providing healthy delicious food to people. I turned 26 and thought stuff it, I’m giving it a go! And here we are today.

WHERE DO YOU HOPE IT CAN TAKE YOU IN THE FUTURE? The

possibilities are endless, my mind is constantly dreaming up new ideas. We would love to grow our business and nourish more people, start wholesaling our cold press juices, juice cleanses and down the track move to a bigger venue.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF STARTING A BUSINESS BASICALLY WHERE YOU GREW UP? It is the best! I have my supportive family coming into help, and lots of friendly faces always dropping by. When we started building the shop, we had all our family and friends chipping in to do what they could.

I love this community and giving back after it has given me so much. We live in such a wonderful place I couldn’t think of anywhere else I would rather be. Connecting with people is one of my favourite things. I’m known to be a chatter box.

JOT DOWN AN EASY AND QUICK SALAD RECIPE FOR US? I’m

currently obsessed with pesto zoodles. Simple delicious and super healthy. For the pesto use: • Basil • Pine nuts • Almonds • Lemon juice • Olive oil • Garlic • Salt + pepper Throw all of this in a food processor, blend until a rich smooth green. To a big bowl add some spiralised zucchini, cherry tomatoes, red onion, olives and big handful of rocket. Massage the pesto through and voila!

HEALTH IS WEALTH – THOUGHTS ON THIS QUOTE? I 100% agree!

I am all about a happy and healthy life. Fuelling and feeding the body. That’s what has driven me to start this incredible adventure.
