COFFEE SNOB, AMELIA BARTLETT I look forward to my coffee every morning. I bounce out of bed feeling excited for the moment of quiet sipping on liquid gold before getting on with the rest of my day. It is a ritual, a time for me and a warming treat for the day. I find it heartbreaking when, time and time again I realise that they haven’t rinsed the milk cup and my coffee has a hint of coco milk or chai in it. I wish that baristas took as much time ensuring my coffee tastes like soy as they do with the fancy love heart on the top.

To celebrate, Elegant Shiva are putting on a gig at Woody’s Surf Shack on Friday 25th August from 9pm. The evening will provide beer from their sponsor Young Henry’s, as well as support from well loved local band ‘Rig City’ and the emerging young Gold Coast band ‘Fight Ibis’. Free entry until 11pm. You’ll want to be there to enjoy the journey, as the band continue their rise into the rock 'n' roll stratosphere.

will remember and respect forever. It was definitely a pinch yourself moment. Firstly I was with Bangarra Dance Company when I performed for Prince Charles and the Tibetan Council of Australia requested that I do a private show for the Dalai Lama.
ANDY, WHEN DID YOU FIRST REALISE YOU WANTED TO BECOME A COMEDIAN? I have been telling jokes from a very early age and I think my entire performing life has generally gravitated towards stand up comedy.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ABOUT PERFORMING IN MULLUMBIMBY?
Andy: Mainly the people, a draw card for me in every town I go to is about the people. Sean: The only time I heard about Mullumbimby was when I was in Glebe Markets and a guy walked up to me and said do you want some Mullumbimby purple head” I had no idea one day I was going to go to Mullumbimby to try that purple head.
