If you need an excuse to put your dancing shoes on this Saturday, roll up to Latin Night at Club Byron (at the Bowlo) to practice your moves ahead of the Byron Latin Fiesta in November. There’ll be two workshops from 6.30pm ($2025) followed a party ($15), with giveaways and a special performance during the night. On Sunday, bring the whole family down to Apex Park to support the ‘yes’ campaign for marriage equality at the Byron Shire Says YES community picnic. There’ll be free live music, DJs, face-painting and family-friendly entertainment at the alcohol-free event. Enjoy!

G TO SAY?
IT’S A DOGS LYF, ANONYMOUS I love that Byron offers a dog beach for me to take my puppy to right throughout the year. Being part of the ‘dog owners of Byron’ community is such a great way to meet people and also learn some tricks on how to train my puppy. It pains me to see, however, some owners doing the wrong thing by not picking up after their dogs. It ruins the reputation of owners who always do the right thing. Come on guys, make an effort to keep the beach clean and ensure we don’t loose the rights to let our pets run free.
CLOCK WATCHER, PAUL SEDDON If you've not changed the clock an hour forward in your car . . . then here is a tip, don't bother. I mean I have not changed my car clock and it got me thinking how handy it is to be: firstly on Queensland time (for obvious reasons), secondly I don't need to change the clock, thirdly I don't need to figure out how to change it, fourthly it is handy to be on Queensland time in Queensland or when travelling from Byron to Queensland (see first point, and you won't gain an hour going North, but you won't lose an hour going South and all confusion is gone as long as you don't look at your iPhone), fifthly this will make our town welcoming to Queenslanders visiting so there are no confusing time traveller calculations for the banana benders or Byron residents with QLD rego plates (ahem) and sixthly you've got a valid excuse for being late (my car clock was on QLD time). And if you are not convinced yet . . . well if you don't change it now, in 6 months time you won't need to change it when the clocks go back in Autumn.
Congrats Paul

DEAR KEENWA,
WEBSITES AND GRAPHIC DESIGN Wordpress Website Specialist
A kind woman recently invited me into her supportive sister circle. I don't know her that well but she seemed super nice. I invested the required membership fee, which was three months rent, but I must be having trouble with my abundance issues as I still haven't received the return she promised. I say my positive affirmations everyday when I look in the mirror, but do you have any other suggestions? I'm having trouble getting in contact with her. Circle of Pyramids

Have you tried to find her at one of the banks in town? Or at one of the many luxury boutiques around? Do you happen to know if she owns any other businesses? Failing those, if she's still missing, you might like to put up some 'Wanted Missing Person' signage on all the notice boards, because you know how much vulnerable people, especially women need support when they're in trouble, she needs to know her sisters are thinking of her. Maybe also extend your affirmations to include her safety.
DEAR KEENWA, I have a long history of healthy bowel motions. Colour, shape, sinkage; all on game. I recently acquired a boyfriend. He's lovely, but my bowel game has completely dried up. I'm totally in love, but in total agony. Is this a small sacrifice for twin flame reunion, or colon cancer in the making? Do you really think it's possible to have it all? Dried Up
DEAR DRIED UP, We must be careful in any relationship not to project our own fears and shadow nature onto our beloveds. The question you could be asking yourself instead of blaming him is, what can't I let go of? What part of me do I not want him to see? Do I accept my whole self when I am around other people? Am I giving off the false impression that my shit doesn't stink, to make him fall for me? Of course if I had the answer to the biggest new love question I'd be a millionaire, “To fart or not to fart, this is the question?

HEAVILY Meditated With Caitlin Cady
This week's mantra GO ON A RAMPAGE OF APPRECIATION. So often we are speeding through our days with such velocity that we forget to slow down enough to say: "I see you. I love you." But when we do make time to spread some love IT FEELS SO GOOD. Both as the giver and the receiver. So don't be lazy. Speak up. And don't be stingy with your praise. You have an unlimited, self renewing bank account of love to draw from. In fact, the more you give, the more you have to give. So put your heart where your mouth is. Sing the praises of your people. Share a kind word or reciprocate loving energy. Let them feel your love. Never underestimate the power you have to make someone's day. Dish out some good vibes today. Go on a rampage of appreciation.Â

Tarotscopes WEEKLY TAROT FORECAST
ON FRIDAY THE FULL MOON IN ARIES
may bring any relationship issue that has been cooking for a while, to the boil. There might be a need to break out, there may also be pressure to conform (Sun in Libra), but either way resentment is on the rise. With Mars and Venus united in Virgo and in agonising square to Saturn, a lot of analysing, doubting and judging is going on; pointing the finger does not help! Recognising your limitations, your boundaries and your responsibilities can be a painful maturing process... Whatever you discover for yourself on this Full Moon, it has the power to cast a shadow on your experience for the rest of the week, while amplifying the following transits. From Monday onwards a square from Sun and Mercury to Pluto stirs up compulsive thoughts, unconscious behaviour and power struggles. Be very gentle with yourself and others on Wednesday; a grand square involving, Moon, Venus, Mars, Saturn and Chiron may put intense pressure on already raw nerves and hearts. For the bigger picture read your Sun, Moon and Rising signs. A Tarot card is drawn for each astrological sign.

g ARIES
With the Full Moon in your sign and the 3 of Swords drawn, this may be one of the most difficult weeks of this year for you. The more you focus on kind, caring and non-judgemental thoughts the better you fare. Remember that this will pass too...
h TAURUS
The 6 of Cups grants you pleasure and fulfilment, therefore the rather trying astrological flavour of this week might not affect your experience. Enjoy the good times and keep up the good vibes; they are very much needed as a token of light that can brighten the day for someone who is, just right now, not so fortunate.
i GEMINI
The 2 of Disks indicates that change is on its way. Generally your adventurous spirit gets excited by that, but if that isn’t the case right now, take great care on Wednesday and stay away from unnecessary, fundamental arguments. Contemplate which positive changes could make your spirit soar.
j CANCER
This week the Empress suggests bringing forth your feminine and motherly qualities, so that you can nurture and soothe your own and other’s sore points. If you avoid criticising others and look out into the world with compassionate eyes, you enrich your own experience many fold.
BY GISELA
k LEO
The Chariot Tarot card assists you to stay on your chosen path and have confidence in your abilities. Don’t let anything distract you from your objectives and you’ll accomplish what you set out for almost effortlessly this week. Your positive attitude stimulates and motivates others.
l VIRGO
The 9 of Cups is the quintessential wish card in the deck. What are the things and qualities you most wish for? Visualise receiving them with an open heart and an open mind. How good does it feel to start a new chapter of your life?
a LIBRA
The 5 of Disks represents a time of worry and insecurity. During the Full Moon time any negative feelings and judgements may be amplified enormously. You might have to put up with unpleasant confrontations, but it is better to face a situation, gain clarity and bear the consequences, rather than just trying to cover things up.
b SCORPIO
The Lovers Tarot card drawn emphasises connection and communication, even if emotional turmoil would rather make you retreat into your safe private world. Mars and Venus conjunct in Virgo assist you to get to the bottom of some polarities and paradoxes within yourself, and you may be graced with some profound insight and healing.
c SAGITTARIUS
The 8 of Wands suggests that this week it is extremely important to communicate your point of view and your feelings in a clear, precise way. If there is anyone you have been holding back with, it is better to own up to your position and therefore avoid misunderstandings that otherwise may have lengthy repercussions.
d CAPRICORN
The 4 of Swords indicates that you might need time off to recuperate, recharge your batteries and think about new strategies that help you to cope with stress and conflict in a way that is less overwhelming. Right now is not the time to try to solve complex situations because you might be too worked up or exhausted to think straight.
e AQUARIUS
The Hanged Man Tarot card represents an emotional and mentally frozen state. You might not feel like looking at your world and your experience from a new perspective, but that actually is necessary to get unstuck and to break limiting or restrictive patterns that hold you back. Your stubbornness is your greatest enemy right now.
f PISCES
The Temperance card symbolises the archetype of the visionary and alchemist, whose highest achievement is transformation and transmutation. Any ordinary life experience this week may hold the key for insight and healing that catapults your life into a new reality.

THIS IS THE FIRST TEENS TO QUEENS PROGRAM TO RUN. CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT IT? Yes it's very exciting! TEENS
to QUEENS provides teenage girls a modern rites experience dedicated to honouring their shift from girlhood to young woman, while identifying the great talents and gifts they are bringing to their community and the world.
WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION BEHIND CREATING TEENS TO QUEENS? My inspiration and vision is normalise
rites of passage in our lives with a modern and fresh approach for Teen girls, so they can experience an awesome opportunity to create a foundation and a tool kit of resilience and wisdom and to grow and learn how to rule over their own life and Queendom.
YOU DESCRIBE THE PROGRAM AS A RITES OF PASSAGE EXPERIENCE. CAN YOU TELL US HOW YOU HAVE TRANSLATED THIS ANCIENT RITUAL INTO A MODERN PROGRAM? TEENSto
QUEENS pays homage to the ancient transformational qualities of a Rites of Passage while keeping a strong connection with the Teens of today so the investment is worth their while and relevant to the world they are living in. By studying the origins, structure and key components of a rite of passage, TEENS to QUEENS is compilation of observations, and invaluable insights from discussions with teens combined with traditional processes, in a modern day focus.
WHAT CAN TEENS AND THEIR MUMS EXPECT FROM THE THREE-DAY EXPERIENCE? A renewed sense of self for both mother and daughter including another layer connection to their relationship while covering topics such as resilience, body image, communication drugs and alcohol, technology, visioning and sex and sexuality with fun, luxe, nature, comfort, creativity, adventure, food, stars and music.
Spots are limited. Bookings for TEENS TO QUEENS 3rd to 5th Nov 2017 and enquiries for the next program early 2018 via www.teenstoqueens.com.au
