DESIGN NARRATIVE Martin & Co brought people together to celebrate one thing they had in common, playing guitar. Within the music industry, music developers and performers are striving to connect with their audience. On the business side of the industry, employees aspire to connect with their co-workers and clients to ensure the consistent satisfaction of the product. As the founder of the company, Martin wanted to give people an instrument in which deeply invested/ interested guitar players could obtain a higher quality acoustical experience while playing the guitar. These three lighting components will allow the employees at Martin & Co to Live, Work, and Play Music in Harmony. The Architectural Lighting Design for Martin & Co 1. Represents Martin & Co’s authentic brand with the installation of industrial light fixtures, 2. Simplifies collaboration within the office by connecting spaces with linear recessed ceiling fixtures that imitate a rhythmic, acoustical pattern throughout the space, 3. Utilizes energy efficient lighting factors, consistently identified in all Martin & Co offices, such as the use of solar power, LED products and sustainable ecofriendly finishes, to minimize the company’s impact on the environment.
