Nearly 20 years after the Army and Navy moved to Orlando, UCF’s president Trevor Colbourn organized the simulation based research June 14, 2014 scattered around campus and made it into an official program. NCS Prepares for 20th Anniversary Kick Off and Board Elections Kicking off the celebration for the 20th Anniversary of the National Center for Simulation, the Lou Frey Institute of Politics and Government (LFI) at the University of Central Florida will partner with NCS on Sept. 30 for their fall symposium, one of two they host each year. More than 500 high school students from across Florida will travel to UCF to participate in Simulation: Evolutionary Past, Boundless Future and learn about, see and use various simulation approaches to important problems or issues. NDIA Training & Simulation Industry Symposium Recap Seven hundred people gathered for the annual Training & Simulation Industry Symposium (TSIS) to learn first-hand the latest requirements for training and simulation products and services being procured by the Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force. With Sequestration and a Continuing Resolution looming, TSIS provided a perfect opportunity for the Services to update industry on what lies ahead.

ADL Hosts Successful Webinars; Announces Learning App Challenge Winners The Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative held several online webinar events in July. Note: ADL’s webinar series is now broadcast on Defense Connect Online (DCO) as well as via the GoToWebinar conferencing system. The DCO option provides access for military and government viewers who may not otherwise be able to participate. ADL sends instructions for using READ MORE DCO to all webinar registrants.
