The Team Orlando Board of Directors is embarking on the development of a strategic roadmap, and in order to provide the best vision for the future, will depend on its members to provide input.

November 9, 2013 PEO STRI’s Pulford Looking Forward to New Assignment By Dolly Rairigh Glass
Scott Pulford serves as the Strategic Integrator for the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), and along with those responsibilities, he was recently named the Assistant PEO for Customer Support (APEO CS), a 120-day rotational assignment.

With this new assignment, Pulford feels it will give him opportunities to achieve greater synergy across the PEO staff. “I feel my integration team can complement the lines of effort within the CSG in order to provide the best possible support to PEO STRI’s project teams, as well the Warfighter,” Pulford said. In the midst of travel restrictions and budget limitations, GameTech 2013 Thrills to Skills offered a compelling program for developers, users and supporting industry who attended the 2013 conference. “GameTech 2013 was a huge success,” stated Tom Baptiste, President/Executive Director of the National Center for Simulation and host for the GameTech Conference.

The University of Central Florida’s (UCF) Institute for Simulation and Training (IST) is a research institute that focuses on advancing human-centered modeling and simulation technology and increasing understanding of simulation’s role in training and education. IST sits in the heart of Orlando’s Research Park, globally known as the highest concentration of simulation and training related activities. relocated from New York to Orlando, Florida. Following this move, simulation became the "third leg" of Florida Technological University (now called University of Central Florida). UCF's Modeling & Simulation program is the number one of its kind in the country.

Col. Marcus Boyd, Commander of the Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation, keynotes the Orange County Public Schools Elementary STEM Expo, and says he wishes he’d had these kids projects when he was teaching cadets at the academy! Very inspirational speech for all.
Giving back through citizenship, STEM enhancements and inspiring the next generation, the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division is an OCPS Outstanding Partner in Education for 2013.

visited the National Center for Simulation offices on May 20 and spoke to more than 100 NCS members and guests about the current news in Washington, D.C. He also answered questions from the audience and spoke of his efforts in sharing the good news about simulation training. Rep. Mica urged everyone to contact their congressional representative to let them know the importance of the modeling and simulation to our nation and our local economy.
