Greetings from Capt. Wes Naylor, NAWCTSD By Captain Wes Naylor Commanding Officer, Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division
I believe that we are fortunate to have the opportunity to take the time to mark the ceremonies that are rich in tradition like the change of command that the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) and Naval Support Activity (NSA) Orlando executed on June 20. It allows us to break from our normal routine and take a few minutes to reflect on where we’ve been and where the road ahead is taking us. Perhaps, more importantly, it offers us the opportunity to re-connect with our community, service, and corporate partners to ensure we are best aligned in our expectations about how we can most effectively work together to ensure that the needs of our Warfighters are being met.

Golfers Enjoy Fun Tourney for Great Cause By Dolly Rairigh Glass
The National Center for Simulation and the Lou Frey Institute of Politics and Government at the University of Central Florida hosted a charity golf tournament on June 30 in celebration of the 20-year anniversary of the National Center for Simulation. A field of 128 golfers enjoyed a rain-free day of competitive golf at the Interlachen Country Club in Winter Park. This was the first time the tournament was played at Interlachen. It was a full day of golf, including some less than serious moments like the “skirt hole,” which allowed male golfers to start at the women’s tee if they donned a skirt, and women golfers could wear a pair of boxes and play from a forward set of tees. Golfers and sponsors congregated at a reception to celebrate the day’s successes and find out who would come away as the tournament winners.
