For the ninth year in a row, the Combined Professionals Associations Group hosted the Defense Forum Breakfast on Jan. 9, inviting senior military leaders to brief industry on their thoughts about 2014 and to provide their unique insights into what was on the horizon for 2015.
Experience API Design Cohort continues The third xAPI Design Cohort, ADL’s 14-week collaborative design process, returns on Friday, January 30, 2015. The Design Cohort is a chance for anyone interested in learning technology to join other participants design and develop for the Experience API (xAPI). Industry Capability Day planned for Feb. 26 Team Orlando and National Center for Simulation announced the first Industry Capability Day of 2015 is Feb. 26. ICD-Winter Applications are now available to any organization or company who would like the opportunity to showcase their latest technologies and/or innovation at the event, which typically includes members from the Team Orlando military Services, Modeling and Simulation Industry and professional association members, as well as University of Central Florida researchers and faculty.

Seeking innovative solutions to provide better training for today’s Sailors, Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON), Mike D. Stevens, visited the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD). During his visit, he was shown how the command can best help the Navy deploy effective training solutions to the fleet.
AFAMS’ Degnan on team that wins award Special submission by AFAMS
The Space Training Evolution Plan (STEP) team from the Air Force Space Command (AFSPC), led by Mike Newman, the Space and Missile Systems Center Training and Acquisition Office chief, were recently honored with the 2013 Chief of Staff Team Excellence Award, during an all-call at the Space and Missile Systems Center in California.

Ten PEO STRI employees, both military and civilian, were honored at the 2014 All Saints Ball held at the Renaissance Orlando at Sea World resort on December 12. The awards portion of the formal ball recognized the awardees for their distinguished service and contribution to the Army’s armor, aviation, field artillery, air defense, infantry, medical and military branches. Lt. Gen. Ken Tovo, deputy commanding general, United States Southern Command, served as the keynote speaker.
