The Simulation Interoperability and Standards Organization (SISO) Acquisition Modeling and Simulation Standards Profile Product Development Group (PDG) has developed “A Standards Profile for the Use of Modeling and Simulation in Support of Acquisition Activities.” To seek greater practitioner feedback and ensure the products represent the consensus view of the community, SISO and the PDG have employed a “trial use” approach to open the products for constructive comment by the broader practitioner community. This approach allows the draft products to benefit from allowing users to implement them, gain experience and evaluate them. Valuable user insights and participation will improve these draft products.
