Team Orlando, UCF collaborate for academia day Team Orlando is hosting their first UCF Academia Day on Wednesday, May 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at UCF Partnership III Building in Research Park, 3039 Technology Parkway, Room #321. UCF gets double dose of cyber news April has been an exciting month for the University of Central Florida (UCF) and its College of Engineering & Computer Science faculty and students. Late last month, the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) named UCF a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education, an honor that recognizes the strength of the university’s cyber defense programs, curriculum, faculty and students.

Newest inductees to NCS M&S Hall of Fame honored June 7 National Center for Simulation (NCS) announced this year’s Modeling and Simulation Hall of Fame ceremony at the Orange County Convention Center will take place June 7, 2016. The NCS Board of Directors selected three individuals who will be included in the 2016 induction ceremony and they are Ralph H. Baer; General Gordon R. Sullivan (Ret), and William Waite.

A total of 13 PI organizations and 15 stakeholder organizations were represented. Stakeholders included 22 representatives from the DoD, three representatives from other federal agencies, and five representatives from academia/other.
Joint office presents opportunities for standardized medical training devices By Theresa Bradley
On April 8, PEO STRI activated the Joint Project Management Office for Medical Modeling and Simulation (JPMO MMS) and established a provisional program manager to oversee the office. Army Lt. Col. Chris Todd stepped into the role. Follow Us On Facebook
The JPMO will bring standard processes, similar to other acquisition offices, to the fast growing segment of medical simulation. Chartered by the Defense Health Agency (DHA), but managed by PEO STRI, the office will be on par with counterparts, such as PM TRADE, PM ITE and PM ITTS, with the top leadership spot filled by the services on a rotating basis with a colonel or the equivalent.
