Interactive Art Installation

The way that leaves sway in the wind served as creative inspiration for the project. The project is located in the hilly highlands of Himachal Pradesh, India, and is bordered by a vast, lush forest. The installation inside the pavilion will imitate the surrounding nature.

Similar to how wind interacts with trees in nature to produce an immersive dancing performance of leaves, visitors to the pavilion will have the opportunity to interact with the artwork by playing music.

Through the opening and closing of a number of the interactive leaf form elements inside the pavilion, it will provide an immersive 360-degree experience of music that has been dynamically visualised.

The leaf-shaped component will be divided down the middle into two portions that will mechanically open and close by a servomotor that will be controlled by an Arduino module. The middle of the leaf will include RGB Led lighting that will illuminate the area as the leaf closes and opens.
