The interactive art installation for the restaurant draws inspiration from the blooming process of a flower. We find flowers so beautiful that we make them a part of nearly every celebration, using them as expressions of joyful emotion.

The concept is to create a sensory experience that simulates the opening and closing of a flower in response to the presence of diners. The installation will consist of number of small circular structure that resembles a flower in bud form. The structure will be made of laser cut MDF sheet with led light in the centre. The installation will be suspended from the ceiling above the dining area and will be a source of light to eliminate the table.

The installation will be fitted with motion sensors and programmable LED lighting that responds to the presence of diners. As diner’s approaches the table, the sensors will detect their movement and trigger the opening of the flower mimicking as a welcoming gesture to the dinner and illuminating the table. The petals will then began to open and close, creating an rhythmic blooming dance of motion and light which will create an immersive environment, with colours changing and evolving in response to the movement of the diners.

As diners finish their meal and leave the table, the installation will slowly close, mimicking the natural process of a flower closing at night. The LED lighting will dim and eventually turn off, creating a sense of tranquillity and calmness.

The interactive art installation will serve as a focal point for the restaurant, providing a unique and engaging experience for diners. The installation will create a sense of connection between the diners and the natural world, and offer a moment of reflection and contemplation in a busy, urban environment.
