DESIGN STATEMENT FINAL DESIGN INTENTION THE ENGINEERED SCHEME DESIGN HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO MAKE THE EAMES HOUSE ENJOY RIVERSIDE VIEWS AND TO CONNECT THE LOWER AND UPPER PATHS
THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE PATHS/ RAMPS DESIGN IS TO PROVIDE CONVENIENT TRANSPORTATION AND LANDSCAPE ENJOYMENT FOR THE OCCUPANTS OF THE HOUSE. THE RAMP DESIGN TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE USABILITY OF WHEELCHAIRS, IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE A MORE USER-FRIENDLY DESIGN, THEREFORE ALL RAMPS HAVE A RATIO OF AT LEAST 1:14, AND ALSO CONSIDER THE RELEVANT REQUIREMENTS OF AUSTRALIAN LANDSCAPE DESIGN.
MOREOVER, BOTH THE EAMES HOUSE USERS AND THE PEDESTRIANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO LOOK TOWARDS THE RIVER OR THE OPPOSITE BANK, WHILE THEY ARE EITHER USING THE RAMPS OR STAY AT THE HOUSE OR STUDIO.
THE DESIGN OF THE BRIDGE BRINGS VISITORS CLOSER TO THE WATER SURFACE, INCREASING FUN WHILE ALSO ALLOWING IT TO BE HIDDEN DURING CERTAIN PERIODS, SUCH AS WHEN THE HEAVY RAIN CAUSES THE RIVER WATER TO BE HIGHER THAN USUAL.

IN TOPOGRAPHIC SCHEME, IT IS CONSIDERED TO FORM MINARETS OF THE PECULIAR OLD ROCK FORMATIONS IN AUSTRALIA TO CREATE THE SCENERY OF PERTH, SO THAT CARS AND PEDESTRIANS CAN ENJOY THE BEAUTIFUL DRIVEWAY.

EXPLORATION
FOR THIS SUBJECT, I HAD EXPLORED LUMION 9.5 , 3DS MAX, AUTOCAD, PREMIUM PRO, WHICH MOST I DIDN'T LEARN BEFORE. THROUGH THE ASSIGNMENT 1 AND 2, I LEARNED THE BASIC REPRESENTATIONS OF LANDSCAPE DRAWINGS, AND THINGS LIKE THE AUSTRALIAN STANDARD FOR A PATH. IT REMINDS ME TO ALWAYS CONSIDERED CAREFULLY THE DETAILS OF THE RAMPS. BESIDES, I FOUND BOTH HAND-DRAWING AND DIGITAL-DRAWING HELPED ME TO EVOLVE DIFFERENT WAYS OF SEEING. EACH DRAWING TYPE HELPED ME TO SEE MY DESIGN IN DIFFERENT WAYS – NOT JUST BECAUSE OF THE DRAWINGS' DIFFERENT FINISHED RESULTS, BUT ALSO BECAUSE OF THE DIFFERENT THINKING PROCESSES NEEDED FOR EACH TYPE OF DRAWING.
ON ASSIGNMENT 3, I TRIED MANY TOOLS IN 3DS MAX TO MANIPULATE THE FINAL TOPOGRAPHIC SCHEME, THEN I USED AUTOCAD TO DESIGN THE PATHS AND IMPORT IT TO 3DS MAX AGAIN TO MODEL. AFTER THAT I TRIED TO USE 3DSMAX TO GET MY RENDERS, BUT I WAS NOT SATISFY WITH THE RESULT, THEREFORE, I USED LUMION TO GET ALL THE RENDERS AND THE ANIMATED VIDEO WITH REAL-TIME SPACIAL EXPERIENCE AND FLYTHROUGH VIEWS. LIMIT IS THAT WHEN I USING THE LUMION I FOUND I NEED TO ADD SOME LANDSCAPE DESIGN IN ORDER TO LOOK MORE HARMONIOUS, IT TAKES ME A LOT OF TIME TO GET THE PENINSULA STYLE THAT I WANT TO CREATE. AFTER THAT I USED PHOTOSHOP ON THE RENDERS, AND PREMIUN PRO ON THE VIDEO.
ALTHOUGH I LOST THE FILES IN THE MEANTIME, I AM VERY GRATEFUL FOR EACH CLASS OF TIANYI SO THAT I CAN QUICKLY KEEP UP WITH EVERYONE'S PROGRESS AND ALSO HELPED ME FINALLY COMPLETE THIS PROJECT.
