WEEK 3 READING: TITLE OF READING
Question 1: What is Pictorial Space according to Le Corbusier? (Maximum 100 words) Accoding to Le Corbusier , Pictorial space is that which cannot be entered or circulated through; it is irremediably space viewed from a distance and is therefore eternally resigned to frontality. Since it exists on a two-dimensional plane, viewers are only able to be viewed from a diastance to obtain the flat frontal view .in other word, the viewer cannot be entered or experienced in the pictorial space.
Question 2: The Flatness of Le Corbusier’s painting’s are attributable to two properties. What are they? And what are these pitted against?(Maximum 100 words) The flatness is attributted to properties of frontality and distance. Corbusier created an understanding of the “rigid frontality of all objects experienced from a distance”. Through flattens his work orderly by using lines and geometric shapes to to let objects appear and to emphasize the facade to that front as if to create two-dimension, so that the works as such becomes more distinct and specific. Naturally, viewers may gain an understanding of the “real”. These properties are pitted against prior understandings or knowledge of space with rotation, means of contrasting the ideation and experience.

WEEK 4 READING: TITLE OF READING Complete your reading before attempting these questions:
Question 1: Explain the difference between Pictoral (in this case perspectival) space and Projection? (Maximum 100 words) The most obvious contrast between them is the absence of vanishing point in the pictorial , while projection allowing designers to create an infinite space. Pictorial space is cannot fully create the notion of 3D space in relation to the human ability to see space, unlike projection was able to construct the things in the way of designer’s viewpoint . Furthermore, Pictorial contains a finite space that ends, while projection got infinite expansion of insight.
Question 2: Where did Axonometric projection first arise, and why? (Maximum 100 words)
The first axonometric drawing was actually in a military context , to track the three-diemensional trajectories of artillery projectiles. Because the use of perspective will distorted the shapes, so the accurate way to charting the trajectories can be done by axonometric projection, indeed, it is proved that without having the rigid restrictions of perspective drawings.

ILLUSTRATED MARIO’S NEW WORLD
Hint: How Detailed does the drawing need to be? Consider the shape, character and landscape of the scene only. We are only interested in the form and z; you do not need to be concerned with the shadow and pattern of the images.
This is my finalised Mario Worldset the scene for Mario new adventure , which have 3 seperate themes. The upper was a food theme, where barriers are decorated into hamburger, sanwich, strawberry cakeand so on, that inspired from “Day of fat man who wants to be thin” . Then, by either water pipe or stairs, it will goes to the underground. If “Mario” came down by stairs there is a challenge on the train to fight with boss “Sumo Brother” . Or else “Mario” may able to choose to stay on the same layer or straight forward to the Castle layer to rescue the princess. However there is the big boss “Big Boo” he need to conquer. For me, it is important to create a route through the world. In addition, the colours, gradient ,rotation and deatail optimizing the structures are also nessesary things must be done.
