The project, as known as Position Interacted Column Place (PICP), is generated for Parametric Design Course in Istanbul Okan University. PICP aims to has different space type variation according to position of the point. That the point can express various things such as, position of user. Also, the PICP can be supporter place to public open places (i.e. public squares). How long is the distance from the public open spaces, PCIP’s volume should change to provide to affect.

Check the values with Phython Script, if the values less than 0, make them positive with abs() function.

Then remap the position values according to shape dimension. (I must make less due to my computer cannot work well in high values.) In the picture, the y values(148) remapped to 10.

Divide the surface with Divide Domain² tool according to position of the point.
PARAMETRIC DESIGN COURSE
16
ARCDE111
Extract in isoparametric subset of the surface with isotrim tool to divide equally the surface according the point’s position.
PARAMETRIC DESIGN COURSE
17
ARCDE111
Create points on intersection points on divided surface with curve middle tool.
PARAMETRIC DESIGN COURSE
18
ARCDE111
Collect the distances between the first point and each intersection point on divided surface to provide interaction.

ARCDE111
Create the column as main component of the project, on the intersection points of surface with center box tool.
PARAMETRIC DESIGN COURSE
22
ARCDE111
Then, move the columns as same z value as their height that defined as distance from the main point to align on ground.
PARAMETRIC DESIGN COURSE
23
ARCDE111
Move the intersection point to top of the columns. The height value must be multiplied with 2 because height value works as a radius that belongs a circle. Also, we moved the columns according the height value, that means the height value added 2 times from ground.

Then, create a mesh to cover the place from the top points of the columns with Delaunay Mesh tool.

Finally, the PCIP is ready to create space according to main point.
