DENR DISTRIBUTES RELIEF FOODPACKS TO TYPHOON VICTIM IN SURIGAO NORTE

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENRPENRO) continuously shares and distributes relief food packs to the victims of Typhoon Odette within the mainland of Surigao del Norte.

A total of 270 relief food packs containing five kilos of rice, noodles and canned goods were distributed to the residents of Sitio Hanigad, Barangay San Pedro and the barangays of San Jose and Canlanipa, all in Surigao City.

Recipients of relief food packs were grateful and thankful for the support and help extended by the department. This distribution was made possible with the support from other DENR regional offices and its regional offices in Caraga as well as other PENROs, CENROs and other environmental partners and stakeholders. DTI distributes livelihood cash aid to MSMEs in Dinagat Islands town

The provincial office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Dinagat Islands distributed the first batch livelihood assistance gift card in the municipality of San Jose.

A total 64 micro entrepreneurs who were affected by typhoon Odette received the said livelihood assistance worth PhP8,000 under the Livelihood Seeding ProgramPangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (LSP-PPG) of DTI. Another batch of livelihood awarding will be scheduled soon as Negosyo Center business counselors continue profiling and validations in the other municipalities.
