Dear colleagues, friends and partners from all over Europe,

Welcome to our 2nd Project Newsletter! Our Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership care4mobility started in September 2015. Since then we are working together to support VET learner mobilities across Europe in the health and social care sector. This newsletter will inform you on the project’s progress of the 2nd Project Meeting in Mersin, Turkey. We hope you enjoy reading this second edition and that you maybe gain inspiration for your own work! Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to learn more about our project. We are looking forward to hearing from you! Best wishes Your care4mobility project team

What was the second project meeting about? The 2nd project meeting was all about learning matters. Every country presented their content of the welfare was and care education in theirMeeting country. Weabout? also looked what the lack of qualification skills or What the 2nd Project competences for our students in our education system is. While we were comparing, we found that many students in the health care professions would benefit a lot from social skills training of different kinds. And we came to the conclusion that the programmes we are going to produce will fit best for the “assistant nurse” professions at EQF level 3. We discussed which Units of Learning Outcomes we can develop, that would be an added value for our students. Here are some examples of topics that occurred to us as important: 1. Complementary care a. Snoozing b. Basale stimulation c. Mindfulness in nursing 2. The international dimension in health care a. Learn together, work together in an international dimension b. Learning across the borders in Europe c. Communication with patients in foreign languages d. Co-working in an international therapeutic team e. Intercultural communication including religious questions 3. Social skills and communication a. Communication and cooperation skills i. With colleagues ii. With patients and families b. Skills in behaviour (reflecting and using behaviour as an instrument) c. Conflict and complaints management d. Time management for health care workers 4. Healthy living a. Health promotion skills b. Emotions management c. Work-life balance d. Nutrition: Easy cooking 5. Ready for the future a. Business start-up for medical carers b. Career planning across borders After we had decided who is going to work out which topic, there was some time left to learn about the interesting and historical surrounding of Mersin and Tarsus.
