DA SETTEMBRE 2022 A VERONA, NELL'EX STAZIONE FRIGORIFERA

DEI MERCATI GENERALI, in Via Santa Teresa, aprirà un nuovo punto vendita Eataly. La novità veronese è che il punto vendita, dedicato al food e alla ristorazione, ospiterà anche un museo e mostre per artisti emergenti, l'Eataly Art House, E. ART.H. Verona sarà dunque la prima città del Veneto a far parte della catena, che proporrà 10 mila prodotti di cui 2000 del territorio, tra cui dolci, vini, olio, salumi, formaggi, tortellini di Valeggio, e inoltre si focalizzerà appunto sull'arte. Eataly è una catena di punti vendita di medie e grandi dimensioni di articoli agroalimentari italiani, fondata da Oscar Farinelli nel 2010 ad Alba e presente in diverse città italiane ed estere, per la precisione 41 in 15 paesi del mondo. L'edi cio, nito di sistemare e ristrutturare in questi giorni, misura13 mila metri quadrati per un investimento di 60 milioni di euro ed è dotato di standard tecnologici moderni. Al piano superiore verrà ospitata un'area museale con mostre itineranti e culminerà nello spazio della cupola, il cui progetto è stato realizzato dall'architetto Mario Botta.

From September in Verona, in the former refrigeration station of the Mercati Generali, in Via Santa Teresa, a new Eataly store will open. The novelty is that the store, dedicated to food and catering, will also host a museum and exhibitions for emerging artists, the Eataly Art House, E. ART.H. This is the big news regarding Verona, the rst city in the Veneto to be part of the chain, which will o er 10,000 products of which 2,000 from the territory, including sweets, wines, oil, cold cuts, cheeses, tortellini di Valeggio, and will also focus precisely on art. Eataly is a chain of medium and large-sized stores of Italian agri-food items, founded by Oscar Farinelli in 2010 in Alba and present in various Italian and foreign cities, to be precise 41 in 15 countries around the world.

Alla “ghiacciaia” degli anni '30 sarà dedicato un percorso per far conoscere al pubblico la storia locale. Dopo due anni di cili a causa della pandemia, questo è indubbiamente un segnale positivo di rinascita con la possibilità di lavoro per un centinaio di persone. A curare la nuova apertura è Nicola Farinetti, glio di Oscar, che come il padre crede molto nel connubio cibo ed arte ed ama la città di Verona. Il punto vendita veronese è innovativo in quanto consente di monitorare il consumo energetico. L'inaugurazione è prevista per il 22 settembre 2022 con una personale dell'artista visivo ghanese Ibrahim Mahama a cura di Eva Brioschi e la mostra del fotografo e regista olandese Anton Corbijn a cura di Walter Guadagnini. Le due mostre, che resteranno aperte no a gennaio 2023, verranno a ancate da conversazioni, workshop e incontri con artisti. Al piano terreno verrà allestito l'Art Market con spazi per accogliere gallerie italiane ed internazionali. The inauguration is scheduled for 22 September 2022 with a solo exhibition by the Ghanaian visual artist Ibrahim Mahama curated by Eva Brioschi and the exhibition by Dutch photographer and director Anton Corbijn curated by Walter Guadagnini.

Ma non è tutto. Per sostenere i giovani artisti emergenti è nato il premio E. ART. H. a cura di Matteo Mottin e Ramona Ponzini. Attraverso un open call ogni anno verranno selezionati artisti under 35, non rappresentati da una galleria con una mostra all'attivo, seguendo il tema proposto, che per il 2022 sarà sulla biodiversità. C'è tempo no al 9 ottobre di quest'anno per partecipare “E.ART.H. si propone l’obiettivo di stimolare conoscenza e cultura presso il grande pubblico applicando i valori di Eataly e di Green Pea – accessibilità, inclusività, responsabilità, condivisione e sostenibilità – alla fruizione delle arti visive”, spiegano gli organizzatori.

MONICA ARMANI È ARCHITETTO, PROGETTISTA DI INTERNI E DESIGNER. IL SUO STILE PULITO E FRESCO SI CONTRADDISTINGUE PER L’ARMONIA CHE CREA NEGLI AMBIENTI. NOI LA ABBIAMO INTERVISTATA PER ANDARE PIÙ A FONDO IN CIÒ CHE FA E IN CIÒ CHE CREA

Monica, lei è architetto, progettista di interni e designer. Il suo stile è elegante, pulito e morbido. Da cosa trae ispirazione e come ha trovato il suo stile?

Innanzitutto posso dire di essere nata nell’architettura. Mio padre è stato uno degli architetti protagonisti del movimento razionalista in Italia e innamorato dell’International Style. Da piccola giocavo tra una poltrona di Bertoia e le sedie di Eames nella nostra villa di famiglia che ha la mia età ed ancora oggi esprime tutta la sua modernità e i valori a cui mi ispiro. Studiare architettura e costruire è stata la prima passione della mia vita. Nei primi 10 anni della mia carriera mi sono dedicata principalmente all’architettura, curando ogni più piccolo dettaglio dei miei progetti.

Per de nire il mio lavoro mi piace pensare a una sorta di "equazione dei dettagli" perché nessuno di essi è mai troppo piccolo per non essere considerato. È un approccio articolato ma ritento che sia l'unica strada per creare progetti e oggetti autentici senza tempo. Da questo approccio e dall’incontro con mio marito Luca Dallabetta, che da sempre mi a anca nella mia attività, dedicarmi anche all’industrial design è stato quasi naturale. Siamo stati antesignani, più di 20 anni fa ci siamo autoprodotti creando PROGETTO1, un sistema di tavoli molto articolato che ha avuto una notevole attenzione e che ancora oggi è prodotto da B&B Italia. Penso che il mio stile sia la sintesi di tutte le mie esperienze. La capacità di de nire uno spazio o una forma deriva da tutti i sensi e il vissuto ne è sempre parte integrante.

Monica, you are an architect, interior designer and designer. Your style is elegant, clean and soft. What do you draw inspiration from and how did you nd your style?

First of all, I was born in architecture. My father was one of the leading architects of the rationalist movement in Italy and was in love with the International Style. As a child I used to play between a Bertoia armchair and Eames chairs in our family villa which is my same age and that still today expresses all the modernity and values that inspire me. Studying architecture and building were the rst passions of my life. In the rst 10 years of my career, I mainly dedicated myself to architecture, taking care of every little detail of my

projects. To de ne my work, I like to think of a sort of "equation of details" because none of them are ever too small not to be considered. It is a complex approach but I believe it is the only way to create timeless authentic projects and objects.

Credo che la lente, anche rigorosa della mia prima formazione razionalista, calata nella mia continua osservazione del mondo organico, mi permetta di creare oggetti che sono la sintesi tra armonia, segno preciso, funzione, ricerca tecnologica, mirando al contempo sempre al ri uto del super uo.

Come è nato l'amore verso il suo lavoro? Sono nate collaborazioni importanti ed il suo nome è noto nel settore. Ha voglia di raccontarci il segreto del suo successo?

Spesso penso che il nostro lavoro sia magico, utilizziamo una sorta di linguaggio dei segni che ancor più della parola ci permette di entrare in comunicazione con un mondo senza con ni. Mi emoziono ancora oggi, dopo tanti anni, vedendo le espressioni delle persone, provenienti delle più eterogenee parti del mondo, davanti a un mio prodotto. Questo mi dà grande energia e gioia. Credo che il successo arrivi dalla mia grande dedizione e dalla continua ricerca, alimentata da una in nita curiosità. Questo approccio mi permette un crossover continuo per de nire i miei lavori. Ho chiamato questo processo “Design in Molecules”, ispirandomi alla interazione delle molecole che costituiscono il DNA di ogni mio progetto. Penso poi che la coerenza in ogni mia creazione sia un l-rouge ben espresso e credo che ciò sia riconosciuto dal mio mondo e sia il segreto del mio successo.

Prendendo come esempio il tavolo B&B Allure O’ abbinato alla sedia Flair O' notiamo modernità e "morbidezza" delle forme. Come mai la scelta di uno stile più armonioso e meno "spigoloso"? Cosa vorrebbe valorizzare e trasmettere?

Nel caso delle nuove collezioni Allure O' e Flair O' tutto è cominciato dalla idea di disegnare un tavolo e delle sedute che fossero anche delle sculture, un segno riconoscibile dentro alla stanza, la cui presenza non passa inosservata, capaci di creare un luogo ma allo stesso tempo oggetti fruibili e conviviali. Ho accennato ai linguaggi sempre in evoluzione per il design che è l’anima, o meglio dovrebbe esserlo, di tutti gli oggetti che l’uomo produce con le sue mani e le macchine che ha inventato per produrli. From this approach and from the meeting with my husband Luca Dallabetta, who has always supported me in my business, dedicating myself to industrial design was almost a natural process. We were forerunners and more than 20 years ago we self-produced by creating PROGETTO1, a very complex table system that has received considerable attention and which is still produced by B&B Italia today. I think that my style is the synthesis of all my experience. The ability to de ne a space or a shape comes from all the senses and the experience is always an integral part of it. I believe that the lens, even the rigorous one of my rst rationalist training and in my continuous observation of the organic world, allows me to create objects that are the synthesis of harmony, preciseness, function, technological research, while always aiming at the rejection of the super uous.

How was the love for your work born? Important collaborations were made and your name is well known in the sector. Do you want to tell us the secret of your success?

I often think that our work is magical, we use a sort of sign language that allows us to enter into communication with a world without borders. I still get excited today, after so many years, seeing the expressions of people, coming from the most heterogeneous parts of the world, in front of one of my products. This gives me great energy and joy. I believe that success comes from my great dedication and continuous research, fueled by an in nite curiosity. This approach allows me a continuous crossover to de ne my works. I called this process “Design in Molecules”, inspired by the interaction of the molecules that make up the DNA of each of my projects. I also think that consistency in each of my creations is a well-expressed l-rouge and I believe that is the secret of my success.

Dicevo che il design è una sorta di lingua dei segni in continua evoluzione ma per essere autenticamente lasting deve avere un l-rouge legato a uno stile. Attraverso questo approccio, ispirandomi ad alcune forme degli anni ’60, ho disegnato queste due nuove collezioni. Ho sentito che era il momento di trovare un’espressione che riuscisse a coniugare forme precise con una morbidezza capace di accogliere, forse anche in risposta ai tempi che stiamo vivendo.

Si legge che lei è molto attenta all'illuminazione degli ambienti. Quanto conta lo studio della luce per valorizzare le sue creazioni? pes. Why the choice of a more harmonious and less "edgy" style? What would you like to enhance and convey?

In the case of the new Allure O' and Flair O' collections, it all started with the idea of designing a table and chairs that were also sculptures, a recognizable sign inside the room, whose presence does not go unnoticed, capable of making a place but at the same time usable and convivial objects. I mentioned the ever-evolving languages for design which is the soul, or rather should be, of all the objects that humans produce with their hands and the machines they invented to produce them. I was saying that design is a sort of constantly evolving sign language

La luce è tutto, per me è al pari di un materiale, forse di più. Cerco di nascondere le sorgenti luminose il più possibile, amo lavorare con la luce indiretta che deve essere sempre dimmerabile per creare scenari diversi durante la giornata e le stagioni che si vivono in un luogo da me creato. Oppure utilizzo la luce racchiusa in un oggetto iconico come una sospensione che diventa puntualmente protagonista.

Può concludere con un pensiero/citazione per lei signi cativo.

“Con un’in nita curiosità di innovare, l’impossibile diventa possibile, la s da è sempre quella di sempli care la complessità”. but to be authentically lasting it must have a l-rouge linked to a style. Through this approach, inspired by some shapes of the 60s, I designed these two new collections. I felt that it was time to nd an expression that could combine precise shapes with a softness capable of welcoming, perhaps also in response to the times we are living in.

We read that you are very attentive to the lighting of the rooms. How important is the study of light to enhance your creations?

Light is everything, for me it is like a material, perhaps more. I try to hide the light sources as much as possible, I love working with indirect light which must always be dimmable to create di erent scenarios during the day and the seasons that are experienced in a place I created. Or I use the light enclosed in an iconic object as a suspension that promptly becomes the protagonist.

Platys is located between Via Albere and the Spianà and promises to become the point of reference for lovers of sport, the holistic world, relaxation and sustainability. Numerous facilities dedicated to padel and tennis, a lagoon for relaxation and swimming, large green spaces and a restaurant area. La certi cazione viene assegnata al termine del processo di costruzione. Tutto nasce da un incontro tra due imprenditori, Filippo Ghezzer e Stefano Magrini, che condividono un sogno: realizzare un luogo che rappresentasse una nuova concezione del rapporto uomo-ambiente. ll nome “Platys” ha una doppia motivazione: dal greco πλατυς (platys), ampio, largo, e dai numerosi platani secolari che arricchiscono l’area. Platani ombrosi e maestosi che creano un’an teatro naturale e una delimitazione green a contenitore del parco. Gli edi ci a “Energia Zero, Emissioni Zero e Ri uti Zero”, grazie a bassissimi consumi e a

Per l’irrigazione del centro sono presenti vasche di raccolta di acqua piovana, in ottica di pieno utilizzo di tutte le risorse con il minor impatto ambientale possibile.

Platys Center in numeri

Oltre 50mila mq di super cie complessiva, 4 campi da padel coperti e climatizzati con pareti semovibili che ne consentono l’utilizzo tutto l’anno, 3 campi da beach volley di cui due coperti, climatizzati e con sabbia riscaldata (quindi aperti tutto l’anno), 1 campo da calcetto e una struttura sportiva polivalente di 800 mq ca. Una laguna di 1300 mq che digrada dolcemente no a toccare 1,80 m di profondità, perfetta per relax, nuoto e divertimento.

A corollario anche la baby laguna di 300 mq con una profondità che permette ai più piccoli di giocare in sicurezza. Completano la struttura un’area parcheggio con oltre 150 posti auto. Platys crea no a circa 50 posti di lavoro nel periodo di alta stagione. “Anima" è il nome del lounge-bistrot dedicato alla ristorazione, che aprirà a settembre, con un terrazzo di ca. 300 mq, una zona per gustare prelibati piatti e un’area polifunzionale, disponibile per incontri, eventi aziendali, occasioni festive. All’interno, un’idea di ristorazione del territorio, con i prodotti coltivati all’interno del centro stesso, ma anche con eccellenze locali da valorizzare. Over 50 thousand square meters of surface area, 4 covered and air-conditioned padel courts with movable walls that allow them to be used all year round, 3 beach volleyball courts, two of which are covered, air-conditioned and with heated sand (therefore open all year round), 1 soccer eld and a multipurpose sports facility of approx. 800 square meters. In the residential setting of Lake Garda, with a wonderful view of the blue waters, this intervention was created by Ballarini Interni, who, with the help of its interior designers, interpreted the spaces of this private villa in the heart of Marciaga. La scelta è ricaduta su di un’essenza di palissandro con venature orizzontali, prestando particolare cura alla continuità delle stesse sui diversi pannelli che compongono i lati. La pannellatura in essenza nasconde il passaggio dalla zona living al retro della cucina, mimetizzando così la parte operativa alla vista dell’open space. La cappa scelta funge da meccanismo aspirante e da corpo illuminante. Scegliendo Falmec in color rame, entrambe le funzioni vengono brillantemente soddisfatte, con un elemento dalle caratteristiche moderne ed innovative. Il tavolo della sala da pranzo si distingue per la sua eleganza ed originalità: un pezzo di design della ditta Desalto, modello Clei, che si fonde alla perfezione con il mood scelto per le niture in spatolato metallico e pietra lavica per il top.
