Hey Hey Monsters! As 2016 comes to an end, it’s time to face 2017. With the Holiday season ending and school is about to start up again, make sure you guys get done with all of your intersession work now so that you don’t stay up all night the day before because you procrastinated. And speaking of procrastinating, make sure to get all of your hours done by the deadline in April, so get started on them!! In this issue, I go over some future events and recap plenty of our past ones that we had in the month of December.

Since it’s January now, it is election season where we vote for our new officers for next year. Jane Austen Tea If you are interested in running talk to any officer 12 and they will tell you the requirements in order to participate in the election. Member of the Month

Chrystal Chiu During her time in Key Club, Chrystal has constantly shown her commitment to service. In the past few months, Chrystal has served at an increasing amount of service events and has even taken initiative in becoming project captain at a number of them. Serving at events such as Run the American Parkway and The Amazing Race, Chrystal never lets the weather ruin her positive attitude. In addition to her impressive service record, Chrystal's kind spirit and uplifting personality has left a tremendous impact on those she helps. As a Sophomore, Chrystal has shown great

promise in her dedication for helping others.

Mock New Year Bash 2017

Come out and support Laguna Creek Club by attending their annual Mock Bash! It will take place on Friday January 13th from 6PM-9:30PM @ Laguna Creek High School. The admission is only $7 and all proceeds will go towards their club. This is a great way to interact with all of the members of Region 16, but also having lots of fun.

At the beginning of the key club term, we set goals that we will hopefully complete by the time our term ends. 

ence Leadership Training Conference took place on December 3rd and it was an opportunity for many aspiring leaders to learn about running for an officer position for their home club through the different seminars, workshops, breakout sessions, and many practice situations. Also new to this year, was that there was also Division Leadership Team (DLT) workshops for those who were interested in applying for a DLT position in the future.

Santa’s Gift of Service

I had lots of fun volunteering at Santa’s Gifts of Service with all of my friends and I was able to capture all of the memories on camera. -Vi Le

California International Marathon
