Member of the Month: Jane Huynh

This past month, Jane has become more actively involved within both the club and several service events. Despite only being in her sophomore year, Jane has taken initiative when she volunteers to be Project Captain. Volunteering at such events as the Festival of Colors and the Mid Autumn festival, Jane has spent many hours giving back to her community. Jane's enthusiasm for service has been phenomenal in the last few months and I believe that her passion for the helping others will continue to shine throughout this year.

Fall

l Rally Fall Rally North once again was filled with thousands of key clubbers who were all there to raise funds for PTP. Division 7 South started off strong with our many strong cheers and chants, but sadly we fell short close to winning the spirit stick this year. Although we did not win, we raised a lot for the Pediatric Program in which all the money goes to help kids who suffer from trauma as a child. Nether the less, the day was filled with cheers and laughter from all of the key clubbers and the rest of the day was filled with fun at Six Flags.

Key Club Officer Breakfast The Franklin Key Club’s officers had to opportunity to attend Greater Sac Kiwanis’s Pancake Breakfast in which we were able to grow closer with our sponsoring club. As I arrived, the Kiwanians were serving breakfast and I sat down next to their President who is named Alex. All of the Franklin officers socialized and shared a laugh with the fellow Kiwanians and afterwards, our officers were awarded with pins for all of their hard work. After that, there was a service project held where we bundled socks and made cards for the children at Shriner’s Hospital. - Cassandra Woo
