Dawson Springs residents are grateful for all the help they’ve received.
Last December, a deadly EF-4 tornado tore through Dawson Springs, Kentucky, doing unthinkable damage. “We lost, like, 75% of our town,” a resident named Pam shared. With everything gone, the people wondered how they would recover. “There are honestly some that still don’t have food to eat,” said Sally, another resident. Thanks to faithful partners, CBN’s Operation Blessing was able to host a food distribution to help this devastated community. 4 frontlines

CBN’S SUPERBOOK
A CHANGE OF HEART A little girl finds peace after discovering God through Superbook
Eleven-year-old Chompoo loves attending her Superbook Sunday school class in the Samutprakarn province in Thailand. At first, she struggled with anger and an unwilling attitude. “I was a disobedient child who often argued with my parents,” she explained. But since she accepted Christ after watching Superbook, her attitude has changed. “I stopped arguing with my parents; I’m not hot-tempered anymore.” Today, she loves worshipping God and reading the Bible with her family— especially now since receiving a Bible as a reward from her Superbook class. She wants to say, “Thank you for the Superbook ministry!”

HELPING OUR
HEROES CBN partners support military families
Uncertainty is inevitable for military families. Long deployments to dangerous places leave family members worrying about what each day could bring. In addition to these stressful situations, many families struggle financially. Frequent moves and spouses not working so they can care for the household cause families to wonder how to make ends meet. Thanks to faithful partners, CBN’s 6 frontlines

When That Call Came
One day, Lindsey received the call every military spouse dreads. Her husband, Kenton, a senior chief in the
U.S. Navy, had been injured—blown up by an IED as he was clearing explosives from a hospital in Syria. “Honestly, I feel like I was just in shock,” said Lindsey. “Like we just talked to him. There’s no way. This did not just happen!” Kenton was flown to Texas to recover. Lindsey was in California with the children. That excruciating situation might have continued were it not for CBN partners who made it possible to provide airfare for Lindsey to fly to Texas several times during the year that Kenton was hospitalized and cover flights for Lindsay’s mother to come and care for the children. It was a long recovery for Kenton. He was now a quadriplegic and blind in one eye. When he returned to California, the couple’s small two-story home was a nightmare to navigate for Kenton. His wheelchair couldn’t get through many doorways, and
he couldn’t go upstairs. Their family room became a make-shift bedroom for Kenton. With nursing care on-site 24 hours a day, there were now seven people living in the tiny house. Yet the compassion of CBN partners made it possible to partner with a charitable foundation and build a new wheelchair-friendly home for this precious family. Now there is plenty of room for Kenton, Lindsey, their four children, and a caregiver. “We can’t thank you guys enough,” said Lindsey. “Having this house has changed our lives forever.”
A Baby Boy for Breanna
Anthony and Breanna are husband and wife—and U.S. Army soldiers. In 2018, Breanna contracted Lyme disease while on a training mission. For two long years, Breanna was in and out of multiple hospitals and JULY 2022 7
treatment centers around the country, desperately trying to get better. As the disease took its toll, Breanna eventually resigned her commission in the Army, while Anthony remained in the U.S. Army Special Forces.

Breanna was too weak to accomplish even basic household activities. When she unexpectedly got pregnant, doctors recommended terminating the pregnancy. They feared that her body would not be able to handle the stress. As believers, Anthony and Breanna felt abortion was not an option. Then, Breanna discovered one of the nation’s top physicians that specialized in Lyme disease pregnancies. Unfortunately, this type of critical care would cost thousands of dollars. But Anthony and Breanna’s church contacted CBN’s Helping the Home Front—and thanks to CBN partners, the couple’s medical bills were covered. “The pregnancy was still incredibly hard,” said Breanna, “but we kept coming back to the reassurance that God was going to get us through this. And He did. We welcomed a healthy baby boy into the world on January 16, 2022. Thank you, CBN and Helping the Home Front!” Your gifts mean so much to hurting people across America and throughout the world. Thank you for providing food for the needy, medical care for the sick and injured, relief to disaster survivors, and so much more. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
HEALTHY LIVING
STRENGTHENING YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM
More
Simple ways to restore health
As COVID-19 continues to mutate, creating more and more variants, there are things we can do to protect ourselves. The most natural way to fend off any illness is to build our immune system. This can protect us from colds, viruses, and the flu. But how exactly do we develop strong immunity? Dr. Bob Lahita, author of Immunity Strong: Boost Your Natural Healing Power and Live to 100, says some people inherit a strong immune system, but the rest of us have to work at it. That means managing our stress. “Stress is probably the most adverse influence that the immune system has,” he explains. Lahita recommends getting enough sleep and taking some time for yourself each day. He suggests getting at least six to seven hours of sleep per night and seeing your physician if you are having trouble sleeping.

CBN’S OPERATION BLESSING: MEDICAL RELIEF
HOPE FOR FATIH
Providing surgery for a boy in Indonesia
Fatih shows off his new smile.
It was a heartbreaking moment when 20-year-old Nida saw that her son Fatih had been born with a cleft lip. “I was afraid that as he grew up, he would ask why he looked so different than us,” said Nida. Nida’s husband, Rafli, works as a teacher. The couple knew they could never pay for the operation their son needed. “I work as a math teacher and earn about $175 a month,” explained Rafli.
Thanks to caring partners like you, CBN’s Operation Blessing was able to provide the surgery Fatih so desperately needed. “Thank you so much to the people who support Operation Blessing,” expressed Nida. “Without you, we would not have been able to help our son and experience this great joy we have now.” Watch more stories from Operation Blessing Medical Care and Relief.

YOUR QUESTIONS, HONEST ANSWERS WITH PAT ROBERTSON
Q
How many times do I have to pray to be forgiven for a sin? Do I have to pray for that sin over and over again?
A
In Matthew 18:21-22, Peter asked Jesus how many times he should forgive someone who sins against him. Peter proposed seven times. Jesus told him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times” (esv). Jesus is expressing that there should be no limit of times for our forgiveness. So, we can have faith in the Father’s forgiveness. All you need to do is honestly repent and say one time: “God, I have sinned. I am sorry. Please forgive me.” And He will. THE GLORIOUS PROMISE OF GOD’S GOVERNMENT You are … a holy nation … that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you. –1 Peter 2:9
by Gordon Robertson President and CEO
The Lord’s Prayer ends with a marvelous doxology in Matthew 6:13: “For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.” Its history traces back to David’s prayer in 1 Chronicles 29:10-11:
give all authority to the Son of Man. Daniel 7:27 says, “Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High.”
“Blessed are You, Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord.”
How amazing to think that the Son of Man gives everything to the saints of God! As Revelation 5:9-10 tells us, “You … have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.”
The kingdom belongs to God—so when the King of kings returns, He’s not coming to take sides. He’s coming to take over! Yet when He establishes His government, it won’t be a dictatorship, for God likes to share. As Christians, we are a royal priesthood and joint heirs with Christ. Democracy is a very old concept, predating America and the city states of Greece. After Daniel was taken captive from Judah to serve in Babylon, he prophesied of a time when the Ancient of Days would
It is God’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom. So let’s receive this precious promise, along with the responsibility that comes with it. He has entrusted us with the great task of preaching His glorious Gospel to every language—that He may redeem all those purchased by His precious blood. God bless you!
