SAFE HAVEN FOR A FAMILY IN NEED

to turn

You were a godsend for this family in need.

For Maxim and his family, being Jewish in a predominantly Muslim area of Russia came with its share of persecution. So, in May 2021, Maxim, his wife, and their children left their home behind to start a new life in Israel.

They found an apartment, but they needed furniture. Living on a meager income with so many kids, where could they turn?

Thanks to friends like you, they had help through CBN Israel. You

gave them financial assistance to purchase furniture and other essentials. Plus, you provided grocery vouchers, so they could put healthy meals on the table. It was a true blessing during this major transition.

“While it has not been easy, we are so glad we decided to leave Russia and come to Israel,” says Maxim. “We are touched beyond words.”

A NEW SMILE FOR CHANTREA

Healing and hope for a girl in Cambodia

Because of you, Chantrea is thriving!

Soeum was devastated when she saw her little girl. A cleft palate meant Chantrea’s life would never be normal. “I cried,” says Soeum. “I felt so heartbroken and disappointed. I never thought something like this could happen to us!”

Chantrea’s father, Vichet, knew he could not afford surgery to fix Chantrea’s cleft palate. “Before the delivery I worked in construction,” he says. “Then COVID-19 hit and we ran out of money.”

Without surgery, baby Chantrea began to lose weight and become malnourished. Then CBN’s Operation Blessing learned about the family’s situation, and friends like you made it possible for Chantrea to receive the surgery she needed—free of charge. “She can eat rice and porridge, and she is now gaining weight,” says her mother. Chantrea’s father adds, “I am really thankful for what you did.”

CBN’S ORPHAN’S PROMISE

FROM HARD TIMES TO A BRIGHTER OUTLOOK

Your love transformed a family’s future

Kham can now support her children, thanks to you.

Kham rescued her two little girls by fleeing an abusive husband. Working in a pineapple factory, she made one dollar an hour. “It’s hard to take care of my daughters,” she sighed.

When COVID-19 tore through Thailand, commerce came to a halt. The factory closed, and Kham looked for work. Soon, the family was facing poverty. But help came from CBN’s caring partners by enabling Orphan’s Promise to deliver groceries every week. When the children’s after-

school program reopened, they received nourishing meals, help with school work, and Bible lessons through CBN’s Superbook series.

You made it possible for Kham to receive entrepreneur training, equipment, and supplies. She now runs her own business selling homemade banana and cassava chips. This grateful mother exclaimed, “I don’t know where my daughters and I would be without Orphan’s Promise!”

CBN’S HELPING THE HOME FRONT REBUILDING LIVES IN JESUS’ NAME

CBN partners assist veterans after earthquake

After faithfully serving in the U.S. Army, Melvin and Carrie spent their retirement years in scenic Anchorage, Alaska. But life took a literal shift when a 7.1-magnitude earthquake shook their home.

“Everything in the house began to fall,” Melvin recalled. “It was pretty traumatic.”

Insurance covered only part of the damage, and the nearly $16,000 estimated for out-of-pocket expenses was beyond their budget.

But a local church knew who to call. Working with a partnering group, CBN’s Helping the Home Front provided all the supplies needed to repaint Melvin and Carrie’s home. Contractors also came to take care of much-needed repairs. “God is faithful,” Carrie shared with joyful tears. “I never imagined that something like this would happen.”

Thanks to the overflowing generosity of friends like you, this grateful couple now has a liveable home.

Changing the World Through the Power of

Prayer

It can move mountains, transform lives, and change nations. Prayer has been the cornerstone of CBN’s ministry since it was founded 60 years ago.

CBN staff members pray for partner needs during a special 7 Days Ablaze chapel service.

And CBN partners like you make it possible for the spirit-filled men and women of CBN’s Prayer Center to be there on the front lines of ministry, day and night, as a caring friend and prayer partner, believing for breakthroughs and miracles. And they see those miracles time and time again. Last year alone, the CBN Prayer Center completed over 2.3 million calls and recorded over 9,000 professions of faith in Jesus from callers of all ages and backgrounds.

A Passion for Prayer

This fall, CBN staff gathered with Pat and Gordon Robertson in the Regent University Shaw Chapel for a time of prayer and worship to commence CBN’s 7 Days Ablaze—a

consecrated time of intercession for our partners’ needs. Throughout the week, Gordon Robertson, Andrew Knox, Ashley Key, and Terry Meeuwsen prayed in power alongside CBN staff for viewers’ needs, live over the internet.

Beginning September 25, CBN invites believers across the nation for 40 days of consecrated prayer for America. As we cry out in humility and repentance and ask for God to send revival and righteousness, we know that His Word declares that He will hear us and heal our land.

Life-Changing Prayer

Every weekday on The 700 Club, we see God actively moving over the airwaves to minister to individuals

tuning in from their homes, or online on their computers and phones during anointed times of prayer and ministry. Our wonderful CBN partners are making it all possible by sending hope and deliverance directly to those who need it so desperately.

Here are a few powerful examples:

• Tracy in North Carolina suffered for seven years with tremendous back pain. She was watching The 700 Club when she heard Gordon give a word of knowledge specifically about back pain. When Tracy claimed it, the pain immediately disappeared and hasn’t returned.

• Rhonda in Oregon suffered from terrible neck pain. She was watching The 700 Club and heard Gordon say, “Someone else, you’ve got strained

muscles in the back right side of your neck. It’s very sore. In Jesus’ name, be healed. Do what you couldn’t do before.” Rhonda responded to the word of knowledge with faith in God and is now free from pain.

• Debbie in Ohio longed to be completely healed of a thyroid issue. She was watching The 700 Club and heard Terry say, “There is someone else who has been pretty isolated. You have some health issues you are concerned about. God is healing you right now.” Debbie knew the word of knowledge was specifically for her. A week later, she received the news that her thyroid blood test came back normal.

As a CBN partner, you are providing a way for millions of hurting people to find hope in crisis situations and opening a door for miracles. And we want you to know that we are here for you in whatever challenges you face. Just call 800-700-7000, and someone who cares will pray for you and believe with you for the answers you need!

MORE THAN SURVIVAL MODE

Learning to reclaim your God-given life

Do you suffer from depression, anxiety, trauma—and are not sure how to cope? Christians battling those issues are sometimes told to pray them away.

But Dr. Thema Bryant, author of Homecoming: Overcome Fear and Trauma to Reclaim Your Whole, Authentic Self , says that since we don’t “pray away” toothaches, we should be okay with getting help for mental ailments too.

She emphasizes that in the Bible “we see despair and anxiety and insecurity with the disciples. We see the grief of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.”

“And when we really look at the text,” she continues, “it gives us permission to not only honor the sacredness of our lives, but our humanity. As Christians, we don’t want to operate in denial. We know that truth sets us free. And so, we want to be honest about our moments of grief, of depression, of frustration,

of fatigue. All of that is a part of our journey.”

After acknowledging the problem, Dr. Bryant suggests looking for a counselor while remembering that Christians also work outside the church. At your first session, “get a sense of their feelings and beliefs around God and around church community”—and whether or not they have experience with your particular issue. If you don’t feel comfortable with their answers, you have the freedom to keep looking.

“Some of us are just living in survival mode,” Dr. Bryant says. But she also reminds us that with God leading the way, we cannot only cope, but we can eventually live free and abundant lives.

YOUR QUESTIONS, HONEST ANSWERS

How do you love a family that is very toxic and still glorify God? What boundaries do I need to set to maintain my Christian values?

QAI believe with God’s help, you can love them, even if they’ve hurt you. Remember, if you have fought against any of them, the Bible requires that you forgive them. But you don’t have to subject yourself to be in their presence. You can love them from a distance.

As a Christian, you don’t have to be exposed to people who are unpleasant and always want to tear you down. It’s not healthy to constantly be around negative people. You don’t want to listen to junk and adversely affect your thinking. It’s like taking a garbage can and pouring it over your head. You can go someplace else and just avoid them. There are lots of people in America and around the world, so you can find companions who are not toxic.

Watch The 700 Club for more questions and answers from Pat Robertson.

Thanksgiving: Gateway to Miracles

Receive God’s blessings as you praise Him!

This season is a wonderful opportunity to set aside time to thank God for His bountiful gifts to us. As David says in Psalm 103:2 , Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits .

What are His benefits to us? The psalm begins to list them in the next verse: Who forgives all your iniquities . Isn’t that amazing? God forgives every single sin, every single mistake—known and unknown. He forgives them all. So let’s thank Him for that!

Verse 3 continues, Who heals all your diseases . He has promised to heal every ailment and illness, and we can trust Him to keep His Word.

The list of God’s blessings continues in verses 4-5: Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s .

Open your eyes and see that everything around you is a gift. Your breath is a gift. Faith is a gift. It’s a

miracle that you can hear words and have meaning come into your spirit and your heart.

How do you receive a miracle? With thanksgiving! His Word tells us, Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you ( 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ).

When you have that attitude and you see life as His gift, then everything becomes an opportunity for the glory of the Lord to be revealed.

When problems or difficulties arise, thank Him for the solution—because Jesus is the answer to every human need. Turn to Him and come into His presence with a grateful heart.

As Psalm 100:4 says, Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

May God bless you as you bless Him!
