ABOUNDING JOY BECAUSE YOU CARED!
Thanks to CBN partners, Preethi is dreaming of a bright future
Tragedy came early to Preethi’s life. Her father committed suicide when she was just a 1-year-old. Her mother was left struggling financially, so there was no money for Preethi to attend school.
Thanks to faithful supporters, Preethi received a scholarship to attend school from CBN’s Orphan’s Promise in India. There, Preethi was introduced to CBN Animation’s Superbook. “After watching the
Superbook stories, I prayed to God and told Him all of my problems,” Preethi explained. “He gave me hope, and I started going to church.”
Learning about God’s love changed everything for Preethi. “After a dark and sad childhood, I am dreaming of a better future,” she declared. “I will always be indebted and full of gratitude to Orphan’s Promise for all of your help, and for introducing me to Jesus through Superbook.”
DRAWING KIDS TO CHRIST FOR OVER 40 YEARS
It was an idea no one had tried before– evangelism through animation . In 1981, Pat Robertson set about to reach Japan for Christ. What came next would change that country—and the world. CBN created a manga-inspired animated series about the Bible named Superbook.
• During the 1980s, Superbook became a smashing success in Japan— over 8 million people per night watched Superbook on Japanese prime-time television.
• The Bible became the best-selling book in Japan.
• In 1989, Superbook began broadcasting in the Soviet Union and again found incredible results: CBN received 6 million letters from children.
Today’s updated Superbook reaches 139 countries in 64 languages! Want to help more children know the Bible and find Jesus?

BROKEN HEARTS
How CBN partners gave Sasha the chance to thrive
Seven-year-old Sasha lives in Kyrgyzstan with his mother and sister. Sasha’s heart was broken when his father abandoned the family. His mom struggled to make ends meet.
“Sometimes I had to choose: buy bread or milk,” she shared. The small house that they rent does not have indoor plumbing. Finding work is difficult, so she takes any job that’s available.
But thanks to the heartfelt compassion of faithful friends like you, our local ministry partner met their desperate need by delivering groceries and supplies. The family also received access to a new water pump, ensuring that their garden-fresh vegetables flourish.
At a nearby Orphan’s Promise kids club, staff reached out to Sasha—unleashing his passion for learning through astronomy and extending medical care to improve his well-being.
They also helped Sasha overcome his fear of rejection. His father’s abandonment left deep, emotional scars. A psychologist worked with Sasha individually, mentors conducted lessons in the classroom on parental love, and his mother received advice on how to show love and talk about his father, which helped Sasha to accept the situation.
Because of your support, children and families can have hope for a better future.
CAPTURING UNIQUE MIRACLES ACROSS TIME
A udiences worldwide are witnessing the extraordinary work of God come alive through CBN Films . Together, with the incredible kindness of friends like you, we are going beyond the broadcasting studio to produce high-quality, compelling documentaries that encourage and inspire viewers around the world.
CBN Films’ Oracles of God: The Story of the Old Testament explores the fascinating history of the Bible . Writer and director Erin Zimmerman offers us a small glimpse at the origin of this profound book.
“The text of the Bible has been meticulously recorded, copied, and translated over thousands of years, and we can trust in the accuracy of that text,” she explained. “We have the Bible because of the work of the Jewish people, from Moses to the Israelite kings and the scribes who copied the Dead Sea Scrolls.”
Producer and director Jarrod Anderson shares the importance of creating films that are historically
accurate and biblically sound.
“Rather than over-exaggerating true stories to make them more interesting, we seek to tell each story with candor,” he said. “Truthfulness gives a certain power and weight to our stories because our subjects feel like real people. That, I think, inspires people even more.”
Here is what audiences are saying about these remarkable productions CBN partners are helping to share with the world.
“I learned so much from Written in Stone: Secrets of the Temple ,” said one viewer. “Your DVDs give people who will never get a chance to visit the Holy Land beautiful videos of the land.”
After watching I Am Patrick , a viewer in an assisted living facility said this about the biographical account of St. Patrick: “I have never seen that many people in our theater. Thank you for producing a film of this caliber.”
You’re also enthralling audiences with powerful films such as Made

in Israel , which received three Emmy nominations, and The Hope: The Rebirth of Israel .
Zimmerman shared her purpose behind filmmaking. “I believe my personal calling is to support the Jewish people and the State of Israel, and God chose to have me do that through the film industry,” she shared. “We are living in a unique and wonderful time in which Christians and Jewish people are reconciling and uniting in a way that hasn’t been possible before. It’s my prayer that CBN Films can play some small role in that.”
The impact of CBN Films is evident in the viewer response.
“This is the best documentary I have ever seen!” a person commented on In Our Hands: The Battle for Jerusalem . “You can see the fingerprints of God on Israel and its history.”
Another viewer who saw Made in Israel responded, “Make more of these films!”

Are they making you sick?
Can too much of a good thing be actually bad?
For Sally Norton, author of Toxic Superfoods: How Oxalate Overload Is Making You Sick—And How to Get Better, regular servings of her two favorite staples, sweet potatoes and Swiss chard, made her ill. That’s because an abundance of oxalates, or oxalic acid, an organic compound found in most plants, can create severe health problems.
“I was struggling with foot pain,” she said. And for three decades, she continued to have various health issues, including debilitating arthritis. But today, after being on a lowoxalate diet, Norton can now run and even go barefoot.
Other people battle oxalate-related conditions such as kidney stones, brain fog, insomnia, and even osteoporosis, Norton told Healthy Living’s Lorie Johnson.
Norton says your doctor most
likely “thinks in terms of matching a symptom to a certain kind of syndrome or diagnostic label and then matching that diagnostic label to a certain kind of remedy that’s usually a pharmaceutical prescription. So, they’re not in this mindset of ‘there’s a root cause, something is messing with your body, what could it be?’”
She adds, “Some people get into an almond kick, or they go on a wheatfree or a gluten-free diet, and the gluten-free substitutes tend to all be high in oxalate. Same with a dairyfree diet.”
How, then, can you eat a balanced, healthy meal? “Get familiar with what foods are the suspicious highoxalate foods,” she says. “And in my book and on my website, there are various tables and charts available.” Visit SallyKNorton.com for more helpful information.
Be sure to consult your physician before making any dietary changes.

TO MIRACLES
By Gordon Robertson President and CEOIt’s easy to praise God when miracles happen. Yet sometimes miracles have stages, and those stages can be trying. So, if you’re having a dark night of the soul, wondering if you did something wrong or if God is with you—here’s a Bible story for you.
In John 9:2, Jesus was asked why a man was born blind. The question wasn’t asked by Jesus’ accusers, the Pharisees, but by His own disciples. They had a theological question: “Who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
They couldn’t figure it out. If his parents’ sin resulted in their son being born blind, how was that just for him? But if it was because the man himself sinned, was it fair to make him blind in advance of his sin? The disciples struggled with the answer.
You and I may ask similar questions when bad things happen to us. Yet I love Jesus’ answer in verse 3: “Neither.” He continues, “He was born blind so that God’s works might be revealed in him” (nrsv).
Remember, Jesus’ sacrifice has cleansed you from all unrighteousness. He forgives
all your iniquities. If you’ve done something wrong, confess it and receive His free gifts of salvation and forgiveness. He doesn’t want to hold anything against you. When we have that freedom, we can move forward.
Sometimes, the next stage is really hard. It’s a Garden of Gethsemane moment where we tell God, “No matter what, I’m going to serve You and praise You. I will do whatever You ask me to do.” As Jesus prayed in Luke 22:42, “Not My will, but Yours, be done.”
And then in faith, we need to praise God. Psalm 22:3 declares, But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel. And it’s in the presence of God that miracles happen.
So let that be your stage today. The Lord inhabits the praises of His people. If you think God is far from you, put on a garment of praise and begin worshiping Him. And in that, you’ll have His presence, healing, forgiveness, and everything that He has for you. God bless you!
