A NEW FUTURE FOR DILCIA
Generous partners extend hope and help to a widow in need
Dilcia, a widow in Honduras, fought tirelessly to support her two children after her husband died. She sold food and cleaned houses, but her income was never enough. For years, she struggled just to make ends meet.
“I didn’t have enough money to buy school supplies,” she shared. Her growing children often needed new shoes and uniforms for school.
Everything changed when she had an opportunity to participate in a
training program caring friends like you helped provide through CBN’s Operation Blessing. Alongside others, Dilcia learned to cut hair, paint nails, and offer other cosmetology services to women in her community.
Dilcia told us she was able to double her income and give her children what they needed, thanks to compassionate donors. She said, “Thank you for the opportunity to help us train and be able to stand on our own.”

FROM BULLIED TO BLESSED
You are offering children like Ahmad a thriving future
DLife hasn’t been easy for 8-year-old Ahmad, especially with his many health issues.
“When Ahmad was a baby, he became very sick due to the extreme cold,” said his mother. “In Syria, doctors gave him antibiotics, causing further damage to his stomach. He used to cry from excruciating pain—until it was discovered that he was suffering from a hernia. He had to undergo an operation at 6 months old.”
Ahmad also collects tin and sells it to a nearby factory to help his family. But he gets bullied. Older children beat him up and take what he has found.
When Ahmad became a student at the H.O.P.E educational center in Lebanon, a ministry that partners with CBN’s Orphan’s Promise, he experienced joy like never before.
“I really enjoy my time at the center,” Ahmad shared. “I like playing with my friends.”
“When there is a holiday, he cries a lot because he misses going there,” his mother explained. “He is cared for and kept from bullies.”
Your continued partnership offers educational opportunities in a safe, loving atmosphere so kids can succeed.

One parent said, “This is the best children’s Bible app ever! It’s very easy for my child to learn, and it breaks down the Bible to make it easy for her to understand. She loves the games and the animated videos that are shown. I love seeing her face light up as she spends time with God.”
YOUR COMMITMENT TO ISRAEL HELPS TRANSFORM PRECIOUS LIVES
The compassion of CBN partners remains invaluable as our teams continue to mobilize aid to those who are suffering in the Holy Land and other places around the world.
CBN PARTNERS ARE STANDING WITH THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL IN THEIR TIME OF NEED
For centuries, the people of Israel have been targets of persecution, discrimination, and terrorism. Today, the nation desperately needs our unwavering support as it continues to face the cruel hostility of its sworn enemy, Hamas.
Despite Israel’s determination to remain free, its citizens constantly live under the dark shadow of danger and potential annihilation. On October 7, 2023, Hamas tortured and murdered over 1,400 Israeli men, women, and children. The terrorist group now vows to repeat that massacre again and again until Israel ceases to exist. Hamas hides among Israeli citizens, freely roaming Israeli streets and plotting wickedness. CBN President and CEO Gordon Robertson declared, “To stand with Israel is to support its right to safeguard its people. … The barbaric attacks of October 7 should never happen again.”
Your faithful support of CBN Israel does not go unnoticed. Because you and other fellow partners long to help, our teams are bringing comfort to those who are traumatized, the sick and elderly, Holocaust survivors,
single mothers with little ones, and many others in harm’s way. Our ability to provide shelter, meals, household items, and other essentials means everything to these terror victims and displaced families. That’s why your partnership remains crucial.
THEY WILL NEVER FORGET…
October 7 was a morning like no other. Omer, Gal-Lee, and their 1-yearold daughter woke up to find that more than 1,000 Hamas terrorists had broken through Gaza’s border fence. As the family escaped to safety, the utter devastation to their home and the surrounding area was shocking. Fortunately, CBN Israel was there to help evacuate victims and provide food, water, and temporary shelter. Gal-Lee said gratefully, “It’s showing us a light at the end of the tunnel, knowing that
people support us. They hear us. They are mourning with us. And they will help us build back our homes from the ashes.”
A ROCKET ATTACK
After narrowly escaping the Holocaust during World War II, Malka and Michael moved to Israel, believing they were headed toward safety. But over 70 years later, their home was targeted in a rocket attack. Malka shared, “When I heard the blast and saw my husband covered in blood, I thought the world ended. He has Parkinson’s disease, and I couldn’t move him to safety.” As rockets rained down from Gaza, medical personnel eventually treated Michael. But the nightmare continued. Their home was declared unlivable, and they were forced to evacuate and rent an apartment using what little savings they had. Thanks to the generosity of friends like you, CBN Israel covered
their rent and provided groceries. With tears in her eyes, Malka said, “I have never received help like this. Without it, we wouldn’t have made it.”
OCTOBER 7
Israel had become a safe haven for Isaac, Maria, and their young daughter. But now they were huddled in a bomb shelter as terrorists tore through their town and broke into homes on a killing rampage.
Kindhearted supporters like you make it possible for CBN Israel to relocate them and many other families to a secure area—providing hot meals, hygiene kits, clothes, toys, and trauma counseling.
The compassion of CBN partners remains invaluable as our teams continue to mobilize aid to those who are suffering in the Holy Land and other places around the world.

Leaving a Legacy: Your Role as a Mother by MariaS
On Mother’s Day, we honor women and their unique calling to serve. Whether you’re a biological mother, stepmom, godmother, or spiritual mother figure, your influence in the kingdom of God is profound. It’s a privilege to fulfill this role!
Take heart and continue following Jesus in your motherhood journey. Your position is irreplaceable, chosen by God for a purpose.
Your legacy will shape future generations. Regardless of your current faith or circumstances, through Christ, you can make an impact (Philippians 4:13). Seek His guidance and prioritize Him above all else, including your children. Know that the God who created the universe sees and loves you. He will equip you in your weakness (Isaiah 41:10) and direct your path (Hebrews 12:2).
So, women, on Mother’s Day and beyond, find strength in Jesus, who defines your identity and purpose. Trust that God has placed you where you are for His plan (Esther 4:14).
Father, we thank You for these women serving in motherly roles. Strengthen them to lead their families and communities with grace. Help them find their worth in You and leave a lasting legacy of faith. Grant them wisdom and peace as they navigate their journey. We honor them not just today but every day. Amen.
For those facing challenges today, we offer a special prayer for comfort and healing.
Father, I humbly ask You to draw near to those grieving today. Please bring them comfort and peace. Let them feel Your love and support. Heal their heart. Let them know they aren’t alone. Please remind them of how much You love them. Amen.
Q&A
with Gordon RobertsonI love the New Living Translation (NLT). I think it’s a great translation. If you like it, use it. We use the NLT as one of the source translations for the English version of Superbook. We also use the New King James Version (NKJV), which is one of my personal favorites. There’s also the Contemporary English Version (CEV), which might be better for children.
My father really liked the New American Standard Bible (NASB), although he said they are all good. When you go through the different translations, you can see the difficulty of translation. I like to use the original Greek for the New Testament and the original Hebrew for the Old Testament. Having a dictionary, an interlinear Bible, and other resources also helps in my study of the Bible. What Bible translation is nearest to the original Hebrew and Greek? I love the New Living Translation. What are your preferences?

Faith Is the Title Deed
Why did Jesus come into the world? He declares in John 10:10, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
He also tells us, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:37-38).
These are promises that you can hold onto today.
In addition, Hebrews 11:1 says, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. In the original Greek, the word for substance can also mean a title deed or a blank check—it’s the representative or the instrument. You have a promise, and it’s the title deed of what you are hoping for.
If you own a house, you have a title deed recorded in a court of law. As a believer, you have a title deed to God
By Gordon Robertson President and CEOand to His promises. You can hold that title, write in what you want from His Word, and God will stand beside it to honor it.
He wants rivers of living water to flow from your inmost being. He wants to save you, heal you, and deliver you. He wants to be your provider. He wants to do these things in your life and in your body, just as His will is done in heaven.
We have His assurance in Jeremiah 30:17, “For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,” says the Lord.
So write out that title deed and say, “Yes, I want this because my Father in heaven has promised it.” Let all doubt and fear be gone, and let faith invade your heart and your mind. Pray this in faith, and just see what He can do!
God bless you.
