• A young boy named Ma Yiray received free tuition to attend an after-school program through a local church that partnered with CBN. The program gave him the opportunity to learn mathematics, the Khmer language, basic English, and other subjects at no cost to his family. There, he became more confident and even finished second in his class. Ma Yiray also shared Jesus with his friends. He invited them to join the program and Sunday school at church.

As a child, Tamara was rooted in the horrors of World War II. Since that time, she has come a long way to find refuge in Sderot, Israel. Now at the age of 87, she remains a living testament to the resilience inherent in humanity. Yet her journey has been far from easy—her battle far from over.

On October 7, 2023, her city was suddenly under siege by Hamas terrorists. Then devoted friends like you came to her rescue. Through a

CBN Israel ministry partner, our local team helped her flee the barrage of rockets.

“All the boilers on the roof of my building were destroyed, and a rocket went through the roof,” recalled Tamara.

Thanks to our compassionate partners, she received temporary housing, hot meals, water, and other essentials. Tamara is extremely grateful and holds onto the dream of returning to her home.

DEVASTATING TEXAS WILDFIRES

Your partnership helped bring relief to Texas wildfire victims

WWhen wildfires devastated the Texas Panhandle, CBN’s Operation Blessing responded promptly.

With support from caring partners, a relief team assessed the needs by visiting churches. An Operation Blessing team member named Haley spoke with some of the heartbroken people in the area.

“We lost several hundred structures,” lamented Hutchinson County Commissioner Chris Prock. “Some of our residents came home to find that their house was completely demolished.”

Shannon, a rancher, recounted, “I turned off the highway to come in here and there was fire raging. …I just had to keep going.”

Haley added, “You can smell the stench of smoke. ... Many of us have heard the saying ‘cowboys don’t cry,’ but in the panhandle of Texas where they’ve lost livestock and homes, it will bring a cowboy to tears.”

Clean water is as vital to our well-being as the air we breathe—yet it’s not available to everyone. Come with us around the globe to learn how compassionate CBN partners transformed the lives of Valerio, Lupita, and Meressa by bringing this vital resource to their communities.

Imagine gazing upon the rugged landscape of the Peruvian highlands. As you traverse this breathtaking terrain, you see a man with a weary

expression. He’s lugging a bucket of water, and you discover later that he’s taking it home to his family. The man introduces himself as Valerio, then shares his heartbreaking story.

As a child, Valerio endured life without clean water—and now his three kids suffer just as he did. Within their remote village of Turputia, people dig their own wells since the closest major city is a three-hour car drive. The well water that Valerio uses daily is also far away—and must be consumed with caution.

“This is my biggest worry,” Valerio shared. “My children are the most important to me. I didn’t want them to grow up in the same condition I did.”

Then your critical support brought a miracle!

Our team at CBN’s Operation Blessing constructed a new well system with sturdy pipework so each household could have fresh, purified water—and biodigester bathrooms.

“This is a big blessing,” Valerio said. “We never had bathrooms or water. This is changing my children’s lives.

With this water, my children won’t get sick anymore.”

Next, you meet Lupita in Mexico, a single mother who carried a heavy burden. You learn that her three children stayed behind while she

retrieved water from the only source available—even though it made her loved ones sick. That’s why a rainwater harvesting system provided by caring partners like you meant everything to them. Now each resident in the community has water they can use for cooking, washing, and bathing without worry. With gratitude, Lupita said, “Thank you for everything that you do.”

Your last stop is Kenya. There, a kindhearted hairdresser named Meressa offers to style your hair. While she takes out her supplies, she recalls a time when there was a lack of clean water—and how deeply it affected her business.

“It brings me joy to do people’s hair, but fetching water took most of my time,” she explained. “After I went once or twice, customers would be waiting. Others left because they didn’t want their hair washed with dirty water.”

Five times a day, Meressa would make an hour-long trek to collect water from a stream that was contaminated from sharing it with the livestock. Unfortunately, even if she boiled the water it still made her family ill.

“I prayed all the time for God to give us clean water,” she recalled.

Caring supporters like you helped provide a solar-powered well, so Meressa and others can now access safe, treated water close by.

If it wasn’t for your overwhelming kindness, Valerio, Lupita, and Meressa would still be battling thirst and waterborne disease. But they don’t have to be the only ones whose lives are changed. Precious Memories with My Father

As a proud veteran, my father loves to reminisce about his time in the Marine Corps.

It was only fitting that our morning runs were led with military cadence calls. These special times taught me physical discipline and, over time, spiritual discipline. As I reflect on my dad this Father’s Day, I recall the many lessons he instilled in me.

In my early years, I learned about the heart of God through my dad. He cared for the children next door who lived in a home filled with drugs and chaos. Taking them to church or the playground, he shepherded them alongside me as if they were his own.

On other occasions, I learned to prioritize God first as Dad would honk the car horn and tell us to come outside for church each Sunday. I also learned that God has given us life to enjoy together when Dad would wake

the entire family up on Saturdays to play tennis.

Fathers play a fundamental role in their children’s lives. They are to point us to our heavenly Father. If our earthly fathers have such an impact on us, compare this to the unconditional love that our heavenly Father has for us. The Bible tells us in Matthew 7:11 (nlt), So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

This Father’s Day, let’s recognize those who have taken on the role of fatherhood in our lives.

Can you explain why Luke 14:26 says a person should hate their mother and father? I know it means not to put family members before God, but why would Bible translators translate this wrong when it looks so contrary to what Jesus taught?

I encourage everyone to study the original Greek. There, the word for hate is miseó, which means detest. Another meaning is “to prefer against”—in other words, to want this more than wanting that. Jesus says in Luke 14:26 (nkjv), “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.” And the key to understanding this is in the next verse: “And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.”

Therefore, if you are putting anything before God, you’re rejecting Him. You’re preferring something else: your career, money, or other things. So, look hard at your life and take inventory. How many things am I putting before the Lord? Am I truly bearing my cross and following after Him? God bless you.

G od’s Glory in Our Temple

In Psalm 91:11, we have a beautiful image of the Lord’s love and protection: He shall give His angels charge over you. Inside the Tabernacle were two angels made of gold, facing each other above the mercy seat. And it was there that the glory of the Lord appeared.

God said, “The cherubim shall stretch out their wings above, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and they shall face one another. … And there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the Testimony” (Exodus 25:20-22).

Now, as Paul declares in Acts 17:24, God does not dwell in temples made with human hands. Instead, He wants to dwell in you! Paul also writes in 1 Corinthians 3:16, Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

That’s what Jesus died to perform. The

veil of the Temple was torn, giving us access to God’s presence through the Lamb of God who shed His precious blood to pay for our sins.

Yet keep this picture in your mind— one angel on your right and one on your left, with their wings covering you. And in that, the glory of the Lord will appear for you. Jesus is praying for you: Since He always lives to make intercession for them (Hebrews 7:25).

God has given us His Son. He has put His angels over us. He has promised us the outpouring of His Holy Spirit that began on the Day of Pentecost. He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases, as Psalm 103:3 says.

The Lord wants to do miracles in your life. When you believe, God does all the rest. By faith in Jesus, you can have that glory of the Lord in your life.
