It’s all happening at Clawson Motorsports from 9am to 5:30pm. Suzuki has hit the road with their Demo Truck to host their demo events across the country and luckily for us, they decided to bring it to good ‘ol Fresno, California this year! If you’re looking for muscle, performance, advanced technology, or agile handling, come test ride Suzuki’s truck load of bikes and then step into our Motorsports Showroom to experience the largest powersport inventory from Sacramento to Bakersfield that includes over 70 new and used Suzukis. The Suzuki Demo Truck arrives on Friday and our sales team at Clawson Motorsports will be getting first hand knowledge as they get to demo all the bikes before we show them off to you on Saturday. Come out and twist the throttle on this iconic motorcycle and you will find that it reacts with awesome acceleration and crisp throttle response in every gear with an unbelievable top-end
charge. Thanks to a lightweight and rigid twin-spar aluminum frame and state-of-the-art suspension, its performance is matched by equally impressive handling, p r o v i d i n g exceptional control in tight corners, reassuring stabili-
ty in sweeping turns, and a smooth ride on the highway. The Suzuki Demo Event will also be featuring Clawson Motorsport’s best selling Suzuki model, the GSX-R600, known for its legendary race-winning heritage. Whether you’re carving your way up to Yosemite or dominating the track at Buttonwillow Raceway, it offers unparalleled performance. Want to know more about this bike that you will look great on? We will have our sales staff as well as Suzuki representatives ready to answer all of your questions. But we’ve got some additional info to entice you to demo the GSX-R. It is built to tear up any racetrack in sight and let loose on any given street. It comes with a raging liquid-cooled 4-stroke, 4-cylinder v-twin DOHC engine that zooms through roads at 599cc’s. Being equipped with race-engineered, lightweight SHOWA BPF’s (Big Piston Front Forks) this bike will perform with resilient feedback and consistent performance. The pistons were designed using the same FEM (Finite Element Method) and fatigue analysis technology used for MotoGP racing engines. The electronically controlled steering for the GSX-R600 provides for lighter steering at slower speeds and more damping force in quicker speeds for the racetrack or highways. If you live life the fast way, this will be the perfect motorcycle for your lifestyle! We have roughly 36 Suzuki street bikes currently at Clawson Motorsports waiting for an owner so come out to the Suzuki Demo Ride and find the one that is right for you!
During The Suzuki Demo Ride Event at Clawson Motorsports But the line up doesn’t end there... This bike turns heads. It is the Suzuki Boulevard M109R B.O.S.S. The B.O.S.S. is a bike that will get your adrenaline flowing whenever you ride. This 109 cubic-inch engine is wrapped with aggressive blacked out styling that includes slash-cut mufflers, dragstyle bars, a supplied solo seat cowl, and a distinctively shaped headlight nacelle that’s uniquely Suzuki. Hanford Super Car Show your Classics.
Richard Tilley WRITER On August 17th we attended Hanford Super Car Show. This Event was held at Hanford’s Civic Center Auditorium located at 400 N. Douty street. It was hot as hell out, there was shaded areas but that didn’t help much until closer to dark. Barely any breeze or anything. Good thing we had our canopy up and was able to stay in the shade for most of the show. I was able to ride my scooter around get a few pictures of approximately 9 motorcycles and 73 others to include low riders, old cars, old and new trucks, old Hot Rods and various others that were decked out to say the least. Seen some awesome paint jobs and sounds systems as well as
The food vendors and the local radio stations were inside of the beer garden area. The rest of us vendors were lined up in rows with plenty of walking space for the folks in attendance. The Vehicles in the Super Car Show were lined up around the southwest side off the park by the carousel. So they had a huge area, but not enough folks came out for vendors to be able to make lots of sells because the traffic flows to the vendors area was slow, lots were out in the streets checking out all the badass cars and trucks that folks entered into the contest.

Lemoore Raceway Race # 9 Bree Keyes WRITER/PHOTOGRAPHER
Race #9 was back in full force the 10th of August at the Lemoore raceway in Lemoore California. It was a warm day with the roaring sound of the engines as they sped around the track. The sun was beating down on us, but it didn’t seem to bother my excited kids I brought with me. My three girls walked around and talked to the racers they knew as my son was glued to the fence watching the racers. I saw the same excitement in them that I had on my first Sprint car race. Being in my son’s hobby area, he was beside himself and wanted to eagerly learn to drive one.
he replied, “I like it more than anything.” Cash would love to continue his passion as an adult doing what he does best, racing. In his young career of racing he has won 8 races and continues to strive for the checkered flag. The biggest race so far he just completed was in Northern Washington called the Clay Cup where Cash won the Jr. Sprint Division. That is impressive! It was his first National Title and became the fourth different Jr Sprint Champion in the history of the Clay Cup Nationals. As points go Cash is sitting at the top for the Plaza Raceway with a 71-point lead and 2nd in Lemoore which is only 11 points behind the leader.

It is in their blood and will continue to race. Ty drove his heart out at the 2019 Clay Cup Nationals and got the B-Main. Ever since then he has transformed into a new eager driver, striving to be in the front. With no wins yet, Ty is hungry for the win and have no doubt we will be seeing him soon with his name at the top. Ty has been busy over the summer, besides racing, making paracord bracelets, keychains and refrigerator magnets to sell. He is raising money to buy race parts for his car. At just 9 years old he is a hard-working young lad with a goal in life. Please support Ty in his quest to raise money for racing parts on their Facebook page Lovenburg Racing. Live to Ride but Expect the Worst Kelli Langley WRITER
I know we’ve covered this before, but I have to share something that happened last week and remind everyone just how fragile we are when we are on these two-wheeled, open machines: Last week the weather finally turned nice enough to get out and comfortably ride….I was in my little pick-up, on my way to Tulare County from Fresno to serve some paperwork and decided to get off the freeway and take the back roads, slow down and enjoy life a little. About 25 miles from Fresno I was driving on a road that meandered along the Kings River when I came upon a bike on the side of the road, the rider and his passenger standing alongside. As I approached them, I noticed another bike on its side on the right shoulder, a young man with a helmet in his hand sitting beside a girl who was lying in the road. I immediately pulled over to see if I could offer assistance. The young man sitting by the bike had jeans on that had been shredded, showing a thigh and a calf covered with road rash. He had a leather jacket and gloves on, and you
could see from the right arm of the jacket he had slid along the pavement for a ways. The girl, however…….this girl was wearing shorts, sandals and a light T-shirt. Her right leg literally looked like hamburger, blood everywhere, gravel embedded in muscle, the bone in her right ankle showing. Her arm wasn’t much better, and you could tell just from the angle that in addition to the skin being shredded, her lower arm was broken. She was moaning in pain, and the young man was crying. Another vehicle had pulled up at the same time that I had, and the lady in that SUV grabbed a blanket and covered the girl. We had both called 911 at this time, and we could hear the siren from the ambulance. It arrived within a couple of minutes and the crew immediately went to work on the young lady, packing her wounds in some kind of ointment and wrapping her in gauze, transporting her to a back board, and trying to stabilize her. While waiting for the police to arrive, I talked to the couple who were standing beside the road. The young man told me that he and his friend were both in the military, had just picked up their
bikes the previous weekend, and that neither of them had much experience riding. They were both riding Suzuki GSXR1000’s, and neither of had ever rode with a passenger. They had come to a curve, and the lead rider hit a patch of gravel and went down. The young man was dressed to ride, but unfortunately the young woman wasn’t, and she paid dearly for that. When the CHP arrived he took their information, made sure the girl got into the ambulance and off to the hospital, and had the bike loaded on the tow truck. He noticed the “CC Biker” sticker on the back of my truck, and began to talk about accidents like this one. He didn’t want his name mentioned because of the position he is in, but he wanted me to get a message out to everyone: Dress for the slide, not the ride.
He told me every year there are approximately 2500 motorcycle accidents in the Central Valley, and about half of them are single bike incidents like this, where an inexperienced rider dumps the bike. He said that while these accidents often don’t result in serious injuries, as long as the rider and/or passenger is dressed appropriately, that person usually suffers minor injuries; however, when the rider or passenger is wearing shorts, tank tops or even bikini tops the injuries are devastating. Whatever the reason this girl had for not wanting to wear jeans or other protective hear, she will probably pay for it for the rest of her life. She is looking forward to at the least months, if not years, of physical therapy for broken bones, and even worse skin grafts (which come with a huge chance of infection), and months, if not years of pain. Please think about this when you get ready to go out….it doesn’t matter how cute you look on that bike, if you’re not dressed for the slide, and it happens, you won’t be that cute afterwards. Please be safe out there, I never want to see anything like that again!
