The Real Meaning of Christmas –The Reason for the Season
The real meaning of Christmas, the real reason for the season. Christmas is so much more than just a time for giving gifts that we can’t afford, decorating a tree and getting together with relatives for an enormous annual meal. Don’t get me wrong, most of us do all these things every year, but there must be something more to it all than our secular traditions.
During this Christmas Season, let us reflect on the real reason for the season, the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I will be listing just a few of the numerous scriptures from the Holy Bible, foretelling the prophetic coming of the birth of our Savior and of His eternal love for humankind.
• Zechariah 9:9: “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteousness and having salvation is he, humble, and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”
• Micah 5:2: “But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be the ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.”

• Luke 1:30-31: “Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son and shall call His name Jesus.”
• Luke 1:35: “And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore,
also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”
• Luke 2:7: “And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”
• Luke 2:11-14: “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel
a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men.”
• Matthew 1:21: “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
• Matthew 1:23: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, God with us.”

The Real Meaning of Christmas Continued from page 1
• Matthew 2:11: “And when they (the wise men) had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshipped Him. And they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.”
• Galatians 4:4-5: “But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.”
• Revelation 12:5: “She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron.
And her Child was caught up to God and His throne”.
There are so many other scriptural references also validating the existence of a coming Messiah, I limited them to just a few. Jesus the Christ, who over 2000 years ago came to earth as both God and Man, died for our transgressions and is here to redeem a dying world. Let us reflect upon all of this, this Christmas season, as we go about spreading tides of good cheer and reflect upon the real Reason for the Season!
Nashville Nights
Richard Tilley OwneR/editOR
On November 1st, we had the pleasure of attending Nashville Nights in Paso Robles at California Coast Beer Co. It was a bit nippy over there, but it was refreshing. I’ve never been to California Coast Beer Co. before, they have an amazing place. Lots of room and the atmosphere was amazing, but parking wasn’t that good with a huge crowd. Good thing we have a handicap placard, so were able to park close.
Heath Sanders was the headliner and Joe Peters started off the show. I have had the pleasure of seeing both these guys several times, so I knew it was going to be a great show. Danelle and I met Dana Ccbiker and J over there. We had a table right up front, and it was awesome to be able to see without a bunch of folks in front of us.
When Danelle and I first got there we ran into Ricky Crawford, who is Heath
Sanders Business manager and an awesome guy. About 30 minutes later Dana and J arrived. We got a bite to eat before the show, and the food was good, and the staff are very friendly.
The place was packed and both artists put on an awesome show. Joe Peters led it off and got the crowd very excited with his music and then Heath Sanders got up and finished getting folks excited with the great Country music. We are looking forward to seeing both artists again soon. Heath Sanders is from Arkansas and lives in Nashville, while Joe Peters is a local guy out of Bakersfield. Six Strings for Freedom put together a great venue and California Coast Beer Co. took good care of all of us. There were probably about 100 to 150 folks there to enjoy the show.
We are looking forward to a lot more shows from Six Strings for Freedom.

6th Annual “Veterans Motorcycle Run 2024” (Clawson’s Motorsports, Fresno) and 34th Annual “Blessing of the Bikes 2024” (St. Helens Church, Fresno)
Several of our local Central Valley Chapters (Fresno, Clovis, Hanford & Yosemite) of the “Christian Motorcyclists Association” (CMA) had a very busy day of riding, fellowship and evangelism on November 2nd, 2024. Our chapters were pulling double duty by most of us participating in one or both two awesome annual motorcycle events.
Round 1:
The 6th Annual Clawsons Veterans Moto Ride 2024 was recently held in early morning on Saturday November 2nd, 2024, and I was honored
to have been a part of this awesome gathering once again! Over 200 motorcycles (still a lot of bikes, but down a bit in numbers due to the rain in the morning) participated in this year’s event to benefit Wreaths Across America and other important fundraising groups helping veterans in any way they can.
The event started with registration, followed by a pancake breakfast hosted by a local Lions Club group. At about 10:00am, the riders were all called together to honor our country and our veterans who
have served and sacrificed for our freedoms as a nation. A local group of an enlisted military branch did a Presenting of the Colors (flags), all sang along to the National Anthem and most importantly, a heartfelt prayer was given to our veterans, our nation and over the participating riders.
This year the organizers had a new route and new stopping destinations planned for the annual ride. As is customary, the Combat Vets Association group and other Veterans groups / clubs led the procession to our first new

destination, The Buckhorn Saloon in Northfork, CA. We travelled a different route this year, heading up Highway 41 north, taking Road 200 east (Oneals scenic route) into Northfork for the first stop and BBQ lunch. Afterward, the group headed down Road
Round 2:
The 34th Annual St. Helens Church “Blessings of the Bikes” 2024 was held the same day at noon and is always a big headliner event here in Fresno. I have attended this ministry since getting back into riding motorcycles back in the mid 2000’s. Traditionally our CMA Chapters have helped the church organizers (OG Founder Francis Trujillo) and the Church’s Parish Priests in motorcycle parking duties, helping pray over the riders, their bikes and giving them a CMA bright blue Blessing Sticker for their bike or helmet. Part of the church’s Bike Blessing ceremony includes the local presiding

met hundreds of wonderful people over the years and the event attracts all aspects of riders, from 1% Motorcycle Clubs (MC’s), other Motorcycle Ministry (MM) groups and
regular non-affiliated riders.
All are welcome to attend this neutral, peaceful event for everyone to enjoy and assemble to be blessed by believers in Christ.
The biker community, whether Christian or not, is the most
genuine, sincere, and friendliest group of people one could ever encounter. I truly cherish these times of riding with my brothers and sisters, whether it be with my Christian Motorcyclist Association family, my home church Loma Vista Church Riders (Clovis)
or all my dear friends who also have a passion of riding together anytime, anyplace, creating a lifetime of fond experiences and memories. (Facebook Groups: Sword & Shield Riders CMA and LVCC Motorcycle Riders)
