CMA Monthly “Sword & Shield Riders” Chapter Ride
One of our previous CMA Monthly “Sword & Shield Riders” Chapter runs we held, our group travelled to the quaint Scandinavian town of Solvang, CA. This was an extensive and intense all-inone-day ride (+/- 450 miles). It was an awesome and scenic adventure for our large group of riders, eventually totaling around 20 or more participants.
Our CMA Clovis Chapter and some Fresno CMA Chapter “Romans Road Riders” met up early for a quick breakfast, then a group prayer and our Road Captain Levi led a meeting to go over riding logistics, routes, and additional CMA riders’ pick-up points along the way. I was not able to take my bike out yet, so I had had the pleasure of driving over to the coast with one
of my mentor figures and very dear friend John Musgrave, an OG member of our Clovis Chapter and previous Chapter President Emeritus.
Our first stop was to pick up some “Riders on the Rock” CMA Hanford members in Lemoore on Hwy 41, then we headed out to Coalinga to gas up. We then headed west along Hwy 198 eventually getting to Hwy 101 (a very scenic but twisty route). We continued south on Hwy 101 to pick up our next group of riders in Atascadero, our brothers and sisters in the “Son Light Warriors” CMA Chapter in Atascadero and gassed up again. Our last stop before our destination was to pick up our last group of riders at the local Harley Davidson Dealership in Santa Maria.
We finally arrived at our ride

Wickyd MC Critters for Comfort
Richard Tilley OwneR/editOR
On Saturday June 29th, myself and Danelle headed up to Fresno Harley Davidson to show support to Wickyd MC’s event Critters for Comfort. They had a donation of 20.00 per rider or 10.00 if you brought a Beanie Baby to be taken over to Valley Childrens Hospital for the kids.
Lately with the weather it is almost impossible for me to attend the Biker Events that I enjoy so much. I have COPD and Coughing Syncope Syndrome, which the heat makes it almost impossible to breath, so the plan was to only go for the opening part and I explain that to the Club so they knew it was not a disrespect for not staying longer. I feel it is an Honor to attend these types of events and
all the Bikes and Cars already there which is amazing. They were serving hamburgers and hot dogs for folks to enjoy before the Run. It was great to see so many different Clubs there to Support the Wickyd MC.
When the Riders Left Fresno Harley Davidson on W. Shaw ave and headed over to Valley Childrens to drop off all the beanie babies they had collect for the kids. It is so dang cool to watch all the Riders making the Ride in the heat to help put smiles are kids faces.
No I am not a Biker but it warms my heart to be associated with all the different Clubs and Riding Groups throughout the central valley. I am a redneck and a Proud American and it warms my heart to know that Bikers do so much for others

destination in Solvang around 1:30pm, tired but ready to eat, get something to drink and visit the Solvang Vintage Motorcycle Museum (motosolvang.com). This museum is an amazing hidden gem treasure of a place, housing and displaying around a hundred rare, unusual, and awesome motorcycles, some dating back to 1910! Some very historical racing, prototype and one-of-a-kind motorcycles were lovingly preserved for future generations to learn from. Names such as AJS, BMW, BSA, Ducati, Gilera, Indian, Matchless, Moto Guzzi, Norton, Triumph, and Vincent were well represented!
Our large group split up into 2 basic groups, some visiting the museum first and then eating afterwards, the second group the inverse. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the museum tour first and then had a delicious lunch at a local
Scandinavian restaurant close by, enjoying Fish & Chips, awesome burgers and gallons of iced tea. As the group was reunited outside the museum before we all returned on the road to our respective towns, we all cherished the new adventure together. We snapped some selfies, reciprocated heartfelt bear hugs, well wishes and blessings as we said our goodbyes. Many lasting memories and new friendships were forged that day! The future looks very bright as we join up with our wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ and travel together on the adventures we share on the open road. I personally invite you and your friends to join us on our next rides coming up this summer and into the Fall, we would love to get to know you and ride together. May the Lord Bless you and keep you safe and healthy!!!
