I also want to point out that like most people who don’t know the biker community, at the beginning I was unsure of what to expect because the general population doesn’t know what I have learned about the biker community. Bikers get together for brotherhood, fellowship with other bikers, the love of riding their bikes and going on runs with other bikers, and in most cases supporting those less fortunate in their community. I am not trying to make it sound like the biker environment is a sweet and polite World because it isn’t and this is an environment when there are times for the families and kids to be around and times they shouldn’t but most biker individuals are just good people.

Community Coming Together for Fire Evacuees Richard Tilley Owner/editor On Thursday the 10th of September, I seen a post about a Relief Site for Fire Evacuees and that they needed some help at Clovis Hills Community Church located at 10590 N. Willow, Clovis, California. I decide that myself and CC Biker should go lend a hand. I gave Dana CCbiker a call and of course she was game. We went out there and was amazed by all the donations they were given and how much they were helping

folks who lost so much. I found out it was not so much a Church Function as it was a community effort to help those in need after being evacuated

from their homes in the foothills above Fresno/Clovis area. Most of these evacuees had no idea if they even have a home to go back to once the fires are under control and restrictions are lifted. So, helping them with food, toiletries, and bottled water to me was an awesome thing and decided to help them pass these out and for 6 days I went out everyday and did just that.

Cowboy’s Defense Run

Bree Keyes writer

It was a smoky day on September 12th, 2020 when the Savage Assassins did a run. Fires in California have made it difficult to ride, but they were not about to give up. The ride was for a member of the Savage Assassins named Cowboy. Many clubs came to support him and the rest of the Savage Assassins, which was greatly appreciated. Everyone started at Dyna Joe’s in Fresno for the run and headed up the hill to G’ma and Pappas for the second stop and back down to the

Club House in Fresno where food and drinks awaited their arrival. When they arrived back to the Club House, they were able to relax and have fun. Smells of marinated chicken, rice and beans filled the air as everyone started arriving. Russ Brown accessories were stationed outside for all the people to enjoy. The camaraderie of people sounded off the walls of the Club House as people started pilling in getting their tickets and Cowboy’s Defense Run Continued on page 6

On February 7, 1967, Tilley’s bravery was at its most apparent. During a routine patrol, he and his platoon were attacked by a much larger group of Viet Cong soldiers. While the platoon leader ordered a retreat, Tilley covered them so they could reach an area where they could set up a defensive perimeter. During the battle the platoon leader was killed, and Tilley took over. He directed his men in battle and called in for air support, all the time firing his weapon and tending to those men who were wounded. As the men prepared to be picked up by helicopter, Sergeant Tilley single-handedly attacked the enemy with a vengeance, firing his weapon and throwing grenades, while his men safely reached the evacuation site. He then returned to the site of battle to ensure the wounded men were carried out and the bodies of those killed recovered before he climbed aboard the helicopter himself.
