Freedom Rides Again 2021 Poker Run
Richard Tilley Owner/editor
The concept of this Ride started with Dane Senser. Back in late February Dane reached out to CC Biker and Motorsports newspaper about helping out with putting a Ride together to Paso Robles. The ideal is to try and bring Riders and Friends together for fellowship and Celebrate the Freedom to Ride. Folks being stuck at home a lot in the last year has been hard and we were thinking folks needs to get out and Enjoy the Fresh Air and Freedoms given to us by our Forefathers and Protected by Our US Military. Dane brought Paso Robles Casino and CC Biker and Motorsports newspaper together to make it happen. CC Biker and Motorsports part in this whole thing is to try and get riders from the central valley to come together and enjoy a day together with others from different areas enjoying the Freedoms America promises us as Americans.

I heard there was a really cool party happening down in Bakersfield at Chucky’z Chop Shop Cyclez in celebration of their First Anniversary, so we loaded up and headed down the 99. The weather was perfect, so we knew we were in for a great time in the sun with good people and lots of bikes. When we arrived and there were at least 80 bikes with about 150 people in attendance fun to watch, the slow ride was and the festivities were already really cool, best bikes featured instarted. Six Strings for Freedom Richard Tilley Owner/editor
Six Strings for Freedom is a local non-profit organization that started bringing country music to the Central Valley for a cause. It all started June of 2016 and we have been bringing Nashville to the Valley ever since. Raising money for local Veteran organizations such as Our Heroes Dreams and Central Valley Veterans. Also, a show was dedicated to The Susan G Komen foundation. All proceeds go back to those who serve.
Thankfully for their Platinum Sponsor for making it all happen Penny Newman. The funds raised from this event went to www.centralvalleyveterans.org
support their non-profit company any way we could and have been sponsoring their advertisement inside of our newspaper ever since. It is so refreshing to see a company reaching out to others through music to raise funds to help others. A lot of hard work goes into putting these shows together and they do it with their hearts wide open. I am Honored and Proud to be working with these folks to help others.
I met these guys the first time in 2016 for a concert in Lemoore with Jacob Bryant headlining and local band South 65 opened the show. When we arrived at 9 pm the place was packed, folks were having a good time. That is when I know it was going to be a good evening. This was the first time at Lake Bottoms Brewery and Distillery, it was a cool place in the middle of town. They have a large selection of beers to choose from. Took us a while to get a table but it was worth it.

A Nice Saturday Ride... Continued from page 3
Mr. Ross was living there. Along the By-way there are several excellent campgrounds and fishing streams, and plenty of side roads that are maintained enough for a slow ride. The Mile High Overlook gives you an excellent view of Mammoth Pool and the surrounding areas. At Mammoth Pool you’ll find Wagner’s Resort, the gas station/store that might or might not be open, and a few primitive campgrounds. Continue on past Mammoth and you’ll pass
Jackass Meadows, then turn back down the hill until you come back to the highway. It’s a long loop, but it can be done in one day, and the scenery is worth it. Once back on Highway 41 you can either head up to Yosemite or back down to the valley. There are several restaurants and bars in the Oakhurst/Coarsegold area, many which are listed in our Central California Biker, to stop at and finish off a wonderful day. So, if you’re looking for a great place to, head up north on Highway 41 and see what’s waiting for you!
