On December 10th, me and Richard, headed to Madera Ford, on a rainy and cold day to take pictures as Mitch, had ordered 300 bikes starting from toddlers up to teens to give away. As we arrived their people were already working on the bikes and some even showed up earlier then the 10:00 am start time to get a head start. Everyone there donated their time to help to make a child’s wish come true. Everything was set up and everyone had a section to put a bike together. I’m not sure how long
it took them but we were there for almost 3 hours, and some showed up even earlier. But in one day they got all they bike out of the boxes assembled and set up in the show room of Madera Ford. Organized from toddlers to small children and so on. It was nice to see everyone face as they all finished and so happy to see all the work they had accomplished. Then it was time to eat some pizza as Mitch gave a speech and thanked everyone for their hard work and their generosity to help make this year a success. For doing it know this makes their 7th year and still
going strong. It was an amazing feeling and to see all 300 bikes lined up by a big Christmas tree. As I was listening, I was hearing last year Mitch, donated to Valley Childers Hospital about 80 tablets for cancer kids. Because he knows how bored you can get just sitting there. Because he had to go through it himself. Well, when Valley Childers Hospital, found out he was a little short they donated for helmets for the kids this year. It’s nice to see one another helping each other these days, we need more of that.
On December 17th, we came back to take pictures, and
Richard, helped to hand out bikes. There were already a line forming. It was chilly but thank goodness no rain. They brought in a racing car from some young teens that drive and compete, and they also had a game for people to play to win a prize. They brought in a big BBQ grill to make some hot dogs for everyone who would like to eat. As we waited for everyone to get there, and the line just keep getting longer and longer. Kids were so exited for there new bike they keep coming to the window to
