Feeding the Homeless

It was a cold and cloudy day, but we were blessed it stopped raining. I think God knew we needed this day to start a new year and help the homeless. It was on January 7, 2023. Me and Richard got to the Savage Assassins MC Mother Chapter in Fresno, around 10 am.

Savage Assassins had one of their greatest causes that was to feed the homeless. Giving food, clothes, shoes and hygiene products to them and so much more. They work hard to do all this and even people of the community came to bring or gave them and donated clothes. They went to friends, to events, and shared their post to get as much as they could to help these men and women out even children. As everything got gathered into trucks and cars it went by fast it was already 11:00 am and the yell came out KICK STANDS UP TIME TO GO. Everyone from different clubs that volunteered were pumped and ready, all excited to do some good. You could feel all the smiles and love as people revived there bikes and nodding their heads. You could feel the energy and goodness we were about to go give these people that are going to be surprised and happy.

As we came up to Poverello House some had shelter, others had tents, some living in their car, and some had nothing at all. I started thinking about all the

rain we just had and how cold and windy it was. My eyes filled with tears feeling their pain, because I have family that is homeless, and I could see myself in their place. In 45 days, anyone can be in their place with no job, get hurt at work, one night or day your house my burn to the ground and you are homeless. Leaving an abusive relationship sometimes you just leave with no where to go but leave, hiding because everyone you know he or she knows. So, you stay silent. mental patients don’t get enough help because they don’t

have enough care. Then we have VA VETS. That don’t get enough money or care to help them, so they live on the streets. And a lot of people that are homeless want something better but it’s so expensive to get ahead of the game.

But to see everyone’s face as all the bikers showed up and cars and trucks. Two vans from Set Free Church Search and Rescue also called SF Sanger with JESUS graffitied on the side of the van was so cool and awesome looking. They also came to bring stuff and to the people and with other

things as well.

Everyone started setting up and putting stuff on the tables, and the people started coming over with smiles on their faces, saying thank you and being so grateful. Blessed by feeling that people still care, and were so surprised of what they were seeing. They all got into a line and everyone had enough even though I think some thought they were not going to get anything. But they made sure they had all they needed. They got pizza, got to get some clothes, shoes, hygiene products, and a blanket if they wanted one. Then the men from the church went around checking on them and seeing if they needing anything health and spiritual and almost every single one asked for prayers. I talked to a few people one person said he has been working but rent is so expensive he doesn’t

Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day, Saint Valentine’s day, February 14th, the day we have come to think of as a day for lovers to celebrate their love, but is that really what the day is about? What is the true meaning of the day? Let’s take a look at what this day is truly about.

There is a Roman festival Lupercalia, held in mid-February celebrating the coming of spring and fertility rights and the pairing of women with men by lottery. Pope Gelasius I forbid the Lupercalia celebration at the end of the 5th century and replaced it with Saint Valentine’s Day which was not a celebration of romance until sometime in the 14th century.

There were many Christian martyrs named Valentine thru the years but the name most likely came from a priest that was martyred around 270BC by the emperor Claudius II. The priest supposedly signed the end of a letter “from your Valentine” to the jailer’s daughter who had become his friend and had been healed from blindness. Others believe it was named after Saint Valentine’s of Terni who was a bishop. That said it was very likely the two saints were in fact the same person.

There is another tale of Saint Valentine went against the emperors’ orders and married couples so that the husbands would not be sent to war which is how the day became associated with lovers.

Valentine’s day became a holiday with printed cards and gifts in the USA in the mid 1800’s. Cupid the Roman god of love

and hearts started being printed and used to mark the day. Avian mating season is also in mid February which is why birds are also used in the art work depicting love and Valentine’s day and flowers were brought into the mix as a sign of beauty. While most people celebrate the day as a day of love and affection it is really a day that was designed originally to give women to men for procreation and had nothing to do with true love.

It’s funny how we take holidays for granted and how we allow marketing to make a day that has no meaning of love turn our hearts and minds to believe it actually started from a place of meaning and love.

So when you celebrate Valentine’s day this year maybe take a second to think about how it all started and what it truly means and thank God for the freedom to know the truth and to be free from the bondage that it originally came from!

We as people and especially those of us who are believers really should stop and research holidays and their true meanings and maybe change some of our traditions and thinking before we blindly allow companies to mold our minds and thoughts to what they want us to see simply to support their products and propaganda.

That said: enjoy your loved ones EVERYDAY and don’t wait for one day a year that started with a negative vibe to show them you love them!

Charity Pancake Breakfast

It was a cold morning, but the sun was shining for a good charity event. On January 28, 2023, everyone meets up at Applebee’s, with Warriors of Faith MM. A lot of other groups showed up to show support as well. We got a great breakfast with some pancakes, eggs and sausage with orange juice and coffee on a cold day is always a good day for something warm. They had a live band playing inside made it a relaxing and fun experience. The Pancake Breakfast ran from 8 am to 10 am.

After everyone got done eating,

we got down to the real fun of the raffle prizes, it’s a lot of fun even if you don’t win, its fun seeing the people that do win all in sport and for the charity or fundraising the money goes to. And how happy they get when they win makes me happy seeing them so excited. After the raffle it was time to go outside and take pictures, and just have some fun talking to each other. They all got group pictures and having fun, showing some new bikes off and talking to each other. And then the group talked about their run coming up in June. Then before you knew it was 10:00 and it was time to leave.

loving people. We also couldn’t wait to eat some chili on a cold day.

As me and Richard entered the room you could smell all the chili and our stomachs growled, we couldn’t wait to get our chili on. But before we did, we went to say hi to everyone. And there were so many people there, from other groups to just bike

riders from no groups. After we talked to everyone and said hellos we went back in and started tasting the chili cook off. One by one we tried them all. They were all so good we had to go back for extras to make our decision you can only pick one, and it was so hard to pick they were all so very good. But we did and soon after they counted the winner.

Then the raffle started and that’s always fun to me, it’s not

about the win its about the fun and joy of it all and excitement you see on peoples faces as they win. Richard won and got a really warm jacket. Richard won beef jerky, but he traded it for a drill, and I wanted beef jerky, so he went and asked to pay to get a box of beef jerky for me. It was sweet and kind thank you Richard, I love eating it every day. Enjoying every bit.

3rd Year Anniversary Party for Savage Assasins

As we showed up at Savage Assassins on January 28, 2023, at 6:30 pm lots of people were already there to have some fun and party and celebrate the Savage Assassins 3rd year anniversary.

All the different biker groups were there to enjoy a night of fun. They had a DJ Mac Still, playing and it was a hit. Everyone was enjoying their time, talking, taking pictures showing their bikes off his They had snakes with chips, salsa, guacamole, fruit, vegies, cupcakes, and cookies. As everyone waited for the tacos and the

meal was cooked. But when it was, and they called it. Everyone was ready tacos, rice and refried beans and it was very good. As the night went on the raffle prize came on and sure enough Richard did really good on this one he won a few times, it’s always fun with raffles. And then seeing people dancing on the floor when a song comes on. It was a great and fun night congratulations again on your 3rd year again Savage Assassins in Hanford. Keep up with the good work and God bless you all and to all the chapters of biker groups.
