Remembering Big Ed
Oh Big Ed, you were a funny mo fo, you always made me laugh..
I met him when I was 19 years old in a bar called Saris red carpet, he was trying to stuff some guys face in a pool pocket, he shot pretty good pool, by the way.
Big Ed was a fighter back in the days, that’s for sure. I’d seen him in dozens of fights back then and let me tell you, they never came at him with less than 3 guys and you can bet he whipped all 3 every time. Ed was a truck driver all his life, he had boats and old cars and a ton of really bad ass
outlaw motorcycles. Funny thing about me riding on the back of his bike was he refused to get a passenger seat, out of respect for me. So, I rode on the fender, on a towel, up until my Son was born, Big Ed’s only child, Edward Hunter Scruggs Jr.,
Then we decided I wouldn’t go anymore, as if something was to happen, we wanted our son to not lose both parents. He loved his Son more than anything in the world, he raised him..
Big Ed was an onery son of a gun, with a heart of gold. I

think he will most be remembered for his sense of humor. He was a loyal friend and had many friends that he had for years and years. Everyone knows we had a crazy relationship, but he always had a place to lay my head if need be. He opened his home and couch to alot of people.
Big Ed was in a couple of clubs, the Yello Jackets and he was Vice President of X-Kalibur Loyalty. Another thing really commendable about Big ED was no matter how many times they asked him to join clubs he refused to until his only son was an adult.. You will be very missed Big Ed, I know your up there with Mom and Dad and your brother.

Richard Tilley EdIToROn Wednesday July 19th, Danelle and I drove down to Bakersfield to check out the bike night at Fireblade Performance located at 1706 N. Chester, Bakersfield California. The owner is Rob Shepard.
When we arrived at 6 pm, there was about 30-40 bikes there already. When we went inside we seen Jessica from Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys. She was smiling and helping others as usual. There was a guy there making chicken dinners.
We got to watch a few Bikers trying to ride the wheelie machine. That was pretty awesome to watch. Folks were all gathering around having fellowship with one another. We always enjoy ourselves when we are able to attend the 3rd Wednesday of each month at Fireblade Performance. Unfortunately, we had plan to do an interview with Joe Peters from Bakersfield and had to leave early. If you never attend an event at Fireblade Performance your missing out on a good time.
I hope to see a few new faces at Fireblade on August 16th.
