Panhandle Health District provides over 40 different services to families, individuals and organizations in Kootenai, Shoshone, Bonner, Boundary and Benewah counties. From food and drinking water safety to health education and disease control, public health services are critical to ensure our community is a safe and healthy place to live, work and play. The Panhandle Health District is one of seven public health districts in Idaho responsible for preventing disease, promoting healthy lifestyles and protecting our environment. PHD offers clinical services from newborn to the elderly. Clinical services include family planning, pediatric checkups, sports physicals, basic respiratory infections, thyroid, mole removal and biopsy, minor sprains/strains and women’s health. Many of the services are income-based and have sliding fee scales. All insurance is accepted and we will work with you on payment plans if you don’t have insurance.
