TITUS SHOWERS SR

Tell everyone who you are and what you do.

I’m Titus Showers Sr. A husband and father. I’m an entertainer who loves to share the gift that the Lord has given me.

What inspired you to pursue a career in gospel music, and who were your biggest influences growing up?

I’m a PK so it was my upbringing. My father asked the Lord to bless him with a singer and it started with my big sister Regina Showers Gordon. My parents continued to be fruitful and multiply and had 10 kids. We all had the gift to sing and that’s where my inspiration came from.

Your single “Feed Me,” featuring Fred Hammond, has touched many hearts. Can you share the story behind the song and how the collaboration with Fred Hammond came about?

We used a freestyle approach in the studio. The producer Jeremy Boyd produced the record on the spot in Philadelphia. We were there for hours and I became weary, hungry and tired. I was ready to call it a day as we waited for the arrival of the vocal coach, writer and producer ME!

Jeremy was like “nah bro let’s keep working”! So I took a nap, called my wife and talked to my

sister. God then talked to me as Jeremy continued to work with the words “feed me till I till I want no more”! I ran in the room and started singing the hook and when ME (MICHAEL) we wrote the remainder of the song. God spoke to me spiritually and physically and the song was created. Blakelèi Parish heard the song and reached out to Fred’s team and he loved the record. My team then set up the meeting with Fred and we talked numbers. Then I flew to Dallas Fort Worth and sat in the session with the great Fred Hammond and the rest is history.

You’ve had amazing appearances on platforms like the BET’s Stellar Awards, and AT&T Dream in Black

Emerging Artist Stage. What do these moments mean to you, and how have they shaped your career? It means that I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. These platforms are a dream come true and I look forward to the consistency of platforms that God has for me.

Your music has a powerful message of faith and hope. How do you ensure your songs resonate with people from all walks of life? By staying connected to what’s happening in the world today. If I stay connected with the people that give hope and relatability. There’s nothing new under the sun. And if He did it before He surely can do it again.

How do you balance staying true to your gospel roots while incorporating modern elements that appeal to today’s audience? Knowing Christ is the foundation that keeps me rooted and grounded. It reminds me of who I’m working for and keeps me focused on what I’m supposed to do and not what I want to do.

What legacy do you hope to leave through your music and ministry? That Jesus is the way the truth and the light. That’s the message and I want Him to get the glory out of all that I do.

What advice would you give to emerging gospel artists who are striving to make their mark in the industry?

Don’t get worn out, Keep on striving and be prepared for the opportunity when it comes your way. “And let us not be weary in doing well: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians

Are there any upcoming projects, collaborations, or events your fans should be excited about?

Looking forward to releasing my third project in 2025. St Jude Celebration Of Hope in Central Texas, Saginaw Michigan.

FRANK OAKLEY III

Tell everyone who you are and what you do.

My name is Frank Oakley III and I am an Actor, Creator, Writer and Director!

How did you land the role of Coach Harlan on Sweet Magnolias, and what was the experience like working on the show?

It’s a long, and funny story, but in short I got the original audition from agents (originally for another role in the show - Chef Erik). That self tape submission led to me getting a callback audition for both

the role of Erik and Coach Harlan! In prep for that callback, I did everything I could to ensure that I would go in there and knock it out of the park. At the time, this was the largest callback I’ve ever done and I that most def got into my head a bit too much. I had what I like to think was the perfect set up for an actor going into an audition: the director actually reads your whole resume, they even know someone on your resume you’ve worked with personally, AND they want you to win in the room! Yet, I still somehow managed to bomb the audition

for the Erik role (in my head anyways). However, I still got a chance to read for Harlan. That went much better thankfully!

Then a couple weeks later I got the offer for Harlan! As far as working on the show for all four seasons, I could write a whole essay on my amazing experience. In short - working on this show with these amazing people has served as a MFA program of sorts. For a little more detailed experience check out parts one and two of my season three

set experience here: PART 1https://youtu.be/dVaHMefsiv8?si=e0_ hIls2JgiZi8C0

What attracted you to the script of Rewind, and how did you approach your role in the film?

Honestly it was the overall vibe of the script that initially attracted me to Rewind! I tell people all the time that if I could use one project to represent all the things/projects I hope to do would be 100% Rewind! It allowed for me to showcase my comedic skills, my deep scene work skills, and my passion for stunt work/fight choreography. I truly treated, and approached this role, as if this was my chance to lead a major studio summer blockbuster! I nerded out so hard for this project and had so much fun and I think that translates on screen! Much like every role I get to do, I give each role my all! I make sure to treat it like it’s my last time to act, and high key every role could be your last. Covid and the writer/actor strikes taught me that truly. No role or opportunity to work is promised let alone the next one, if you get one.

As a rising star, what do you consider the most pivotal moment of your acting career so far?

To be honest, and this is going to sound a bit cliche, but I really do mean this: The most pivotal moment is the next moment I get to work on a project. Each booking (“big or small”) is pivotal, because it’s another chance and opportunity to work, grow and connect. You truly never know where a role can lead. Literally Coach Harlan was only supposed to be in a couple episodes in season one. And four seasons later he’s a major part of the world and even got to get an episode that he got to be an anchor point and a large amount of screen time/ dialogue. So again, each new moment/ opportunity to work is pivotal to me because it always leads to something, if you let it!

What inspired you to become a mental health advocate, and how has this mission shaped your journey?

My dad passed away a few years ago. It was his passing that finally led me to get therapy. Before that I was someone who recognized the power and healing of beneficial mental health practices, but I haven’;t quite built up the courage to seek

my own. From there, and a few years of going through my own therapy journey, it allowed me to want to hopefully be a safe and helpful person to people who struggle with trying to develop helpful mental health practices. Being in the entertainment industry I hear about people who seemingly have it all and yet sadly die by suicide, among many other forms of mental suffering. And in talking with my therapist and having him help me carve out what my core values are, I want to be of some form of service to my fellow colleagues in my industry who may struggle in this way. Which led me to become a Mental Health first Aider. This is still being shaped in real time, but I’m grateful to be working on being someone who can aid in a crisis if needed.

What message would you like to share with individuals struggling with mental health challenges? There’s nothing wrong with you for wanting to get help and experience freedom. Don’t wait to get help, and don’t be afraid of bringing down the mood or vibe when you are asking for help or opening up about a struggle. I’d rather you make someone feel awkward or uncomfortable for a moment for the sake of your very valuable life. You matter, your life matters, and your life has meaning - that’s why you’re still here!

Who are some of your biggest inspirations in acting and life, and why?

I don’t have enough time to answer this in its absolute fullest, haha! It truly depends on the day, but generally unchanging I’d say David Oyelowo, Bryan Loritts, Dr. John M. Perkins,

Chadwick Boseman, Denzel Washington and the community of people I have in my life. David is someone who is un-ashamed of his faith and operates in absolute excellence on and off camera/ stage. He’s the real deal, and I hope to be mentored by him someday. Bryan is also someone who is the real deal, and I hope to be as intentional and intelligent as he is. I hope to have the resilience and endurance for suffering in this world, passion for loving people and the love for God as Dr. Perkins if I live to see his age. I hope to have the servant’s heart that Chadwick had as I continue to advance in my career. I hope to have the career longevity/quality, the discipline, and the bulletproof spirit of Denzel. Lastly I hope to love and serve the way my community loves and serves.

If you could act alongside any actor, past or present, who would it be and why?

Again, this one depends on the day you ask, but as of today I’d have to say Aldis Hodge. We have very similar approaches to the work, and after just finishing “Cross” I think we could EAT up some deep scene work!

When you’re not acting or advocating, what are your favorite ways to relax and recharge?

Honestly, I’m an introverted homebody. I’m so boring and just love to chill at home as a way to relax and recharge. That, or making silly and goofy videos haha.

IMRAN

Tell everyone who you are and what you do.

I’m the founder of Great Pods, a platform created to help podcast listeners find the best shows through professional reviews and curated recommendations. I started Great Pods as a way to consolidate these expert reviews in one place, making it easier for people to discover great content. As of now, I run things nonprogramming, building it from the ground up, and shaping it into a trusted source for podcast discovery.

What inspired you to start Great Pods, and how did you envision it in the beginning?

Great Pods started with the idea of making podcast discovery easier and more trustworthy. I saw a need for a reliable source where listeners could read real, professional reviews of podcasts. With so many shows available, it can be overwhelming to decide what to listen to, so I envisioned Great Pods as the “Rotten Tomatoes” or “Letterboxd” for podcasts—a site people could turn

to for expert insights and thoughtful recommendations. It was a personal problem for me.

Can you tell us about the journey from the idea to the launch of Great Pods?

September 2020. I had this itch to scratch. I wanted to do new innovative things in my later years at TuneIn. It seemed like some part of the startup was lost and so I went to Himalaya podcasts. During my break between TuneIn and

Himalaya, it was my engineering friend who started asking questions around problems I was having that got ME to ask more questions about the problems. Those questions finally led to the question: Why was it hard to decide and discover what podcasts to listen to? Not only me, but others were feeling the pain point of “What should I listen to?” Then there was the question of what other industries I like currently do. Well, I like tv and movie reviews. I like Rotten Tomatoes as a media reviews aggregator. Did the Siskel & Ebert of the movie industry exist in the podcast space? That’s when I went looking for answers and ultimately looked to solve my own problem and make it a solution for all.

What are some trends in the podcasting industry that excite you right now?

There’s so much exciting happening in podcasting, especially with advancements in AI and personalized content curation. Eventually, we’ll test our way to incorporate a little bit of AI into the recommendation process. I want to emphasize that I would rather be balanced in this approach versus all in with AI. AI Powered, Human curated. Podcasts have become a space for highly personalized storytelling, and it’s exciting to see how these unique voices are connecting with audiences.

How do you see the podcast landscape evolving in the next few years?

I’m excited to really see the middle-class of podcasting really make their mark even moreso. It’s not the heavily funded podcasts from big tech companies, but rather the PRX’s or independent companies create really fantastic documentary, human stories. Don’t sleep on fiction podcasts either. I also believe we’ll see more platforms focusing on high-quality curation, helping listeners find the best shows without getting overwhelmed by sheer volume.

What has been one of the biggest challenges you’ve faced while building Great Pods?

One of the biggest challenges has been getting the word out about Great Pods. It’s a challenge I love to take on as a founder. I’ve had to manage everything from business development to operations, which can be a lot to handle.

What are some of the milestones that have been the most rewarding?

One highlight was the recognition of Great Pods as part of USC’s Greif Incubator program. Being accepted gave me validation and access to mentorship that helped me refine the platform. Another rewarding milestone was the positive feedback from listeners and podcasters who found the site useful. And of course,

partnerships and press opportunities, like my recent interview with the team behind AppleTV+’s ExtraSensory podcast, have been exciting moments for Great Pods. On the data side, when a subreddit posted a link to a podcast on Great Pods, the site traffic ballooned for us, and Google SEO recognized us as a site to index quickly. I’ll always remember that milestone.

With so many podcasts out there, what criteria does Great Pods use to curate recommendations? Our recommendations are driven by quality, variety, and expert input. Simply put, professional reviewers. They articulate why or why you shouldn’t listen to a particular podcast. It’s like all podcasts are at the top of the funnel and professional reviews help curate those podcasts down the funnel to help you and me figure it out. Think of it like the way you use rottentomatoes.com. When I curate on the front page or my newsletter, regardless if I personally like the podcast or not, I will still recommend it based on the review. Not every podcast is for me, but it could be for you.

How do you define success for Great Pods, both as a business and as a platform for podcasters?

For Great Pods, success is twofold: as a business, success means building a sustainable model that allows us to grow and continue delivering value to our users. As a platform for podcasters, success is when listeners find shows they love, and podcasters gain visibility and recognition. Ultimately, I want Great Pods to be a trusted go-to for podcast discovery, helping both listeners and creators succeed. It’s shared between the data and actual human interaction that will define that success.

JOJO REDD

Tell everyone who you are and what you do.

My name is Jojo Redd. I’m 11 yrs old. I am music artist, actress, model, and a YouTuber/content creator!

What inspired you to pursue careers as an artist, actress, and model?

What inspired me to pursue all these things is well, my mom I’ve always loved making songs at home and watching people act on tv like Ariana Grande she does it all. So my mom and dad helped me start seeing my energy towards it. Also I have family in the music industry so watching them and listening to the stories especially my aunt Deb (Antney) makes me wanna go so much harder.

How do you balance your creative passions across these three fields?

I have a wonderful manager besides my parents who helps keep everything in line for me. So that I’m not doing it all at one time.

What has been your favorite role so far, and why did it resonate with you?

My favorite role so far was Lilly on the following Angela Whitaker was in BET it’s now in Tubi. I loved playing Lilly from the director to the production and to my aunts and uncle. They made me never want to leave the set! It was fun!

Are there specific genres or types of characters you’re most drawn to in acting?

-Ariana Grande characters that she plays. I love her! I want a Disney role or Nickelodeon.

How do you stay motivated and inspired while juggling multiple creative pursuits?

We keep God number one in our home so that’s first when being motivated and my brothers they are my best friends they keep me motivated and inspired. When my big brother got his first role on the Underdogs with

Snoop I was so happy for him and I couldn’t wait to experience something like it I still can’t!

Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations you’re excited to share with us?

Well what’s coming up is I’ve been in “That Girl Lay Lay” from Nickelodeon. I'm actually on the back to school tour with her. So I’m super excited!

If you could collaborate with any artist, actor, or designer, who would it be?

Ariana Grande of course lol and Nicki Minaj.

What would your dream project look like if you could combine all your talents?

My own show with my rapping and acting all in one and my brothers are able to be a part of it as well since they act and entertain!

Where can the readers follow your journey?

Hey guys so you can follow me on JojoRedd33 IG JojoRedd on YouTube JoJo Reddy on Facebook as well And TikTok my whole family. The Family JKD3.

What drew you to acting and filmmaking after your time in the military?

There was quite a gap between leaving the military in 1993 and starting my acting journey in 2011, LOL. Let’s just

THERRON DUMAS

say I lived a very full life before stepping into the world of acting. I worked as a bartender, phlebotomist, word processor, personal trainer, self-defense instructor for battered women, childcare provider, home flipper, and then finally ... acting!

How did you prepare for your roles in I Survived Suicide and Clowns?

I Survived Suicide is one of my latest roles, while Clowns was one of my earlier ones. For Clowns, I was still relatively new to acting, and my character was an African attorney named Gilbert

Jude. I prepared by working on what I imagined an African accent to sound like. LOL, it seemed to go over pretty smoothly. I Survived Suicide was a completely different experience. The subject matter and the stories were true, which immediately put me in a different headspace. I was also the co-director of the film, so hearing these real stories and knowing they weren’t fictional had a profound impact on me. It was especially meaningful because I personally knew one of the characters involved.

What has been your most challenging role, and how did you overcome the challenges it presented?

My most challenging role was Corey Fleming in the movie Under His Control, which is based on true events. Corey was a narcissistic, psychologically abusive husband—completely opposite of who I am in real life. To portray such a mean and callous character, I really had to dig deep. Apparently, I succeeded because I became the second most hated man on the Tubi TV streaming network for at least a year. To this day, women still approach me to say they wanted to punch my character in the face!

As a visionary filmmaker, how do you define “Urban Cinema”?

That’s a great question! I actually want to change the narrative surrounding urban cinema. People often associate it exclusively with stories about drug dealing, violence, or infidelity, but our imaginations go far beyond those themes. I’m working on a psychological thriller, a 21st-century vampire movie, an action series, and more. While there may be elements of familiar topics, they won’t be the central premise.

What inspired you to focus on redefining urban cinema, and how do you hope to impact the genre? As I mentioned earlier, urban cinema often gives the impression that we’re limited in our thought and creative process—but we’re not. Unfortunately, popularity and profit often drive content creation, leading filmmakers to produce what they think will generate the most money. I want to break that mold and show the world the depth and range of our creativity.

What skills or values from your military service have been most beneficial in your acting and filmmaking career?

I’d say tenacity, especially the determination not to give up. In my first film, I was told I wasn’t a good actor— actually, that I wasn’t an actor at all— and that I kept making the same facial expressions. That kind of criticism could have stopped the average person, but I decided to prove them wrong. Today, I’m an eight-time multi-international awardwinning actor, writer, and director. I’ve also received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for helping over 130 people advance in their acting

careers. Ironically, the same person who criticized me later invited me to appear in another of their films. Sometimes, the best revenge is staying quiet and letting your success speak for itself.

Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations you’re excited to share with us?

Absolutely! While I’m used to being part of other people’s projects, 2025 will be my time to see how my own films are received! I’m currently working on five different movies and two or three mini-series. Although I’m not giving up acting, I’ll be spending much more time writing and directing.

If you could play or direct any dream role or film, what would it be?

I’d love to create a film about a singer or a musical group. There are already some incredible classics like The Temptations and The Five Heartbeats, but I want to do something similar that would let me showcase both my singing and acting abilities. If it doesn’t happen, I’ll just write it myself!

How do you unwind after a day of acting, directing, or producing?

The gym is definitely my escape. I lost myself for a few years, both physically and mentally, but I’m back now. So, working out, writing, and singing are my go-to ways to unwind.

JAE $OUTH

What inspired you to write “Do it B.i.g.”? Is there a personal story or experience behind the Song?

Yeah. My entire experience living in FL, and going through what I went through, and overcoming, is the inspiration for it.

How would you describe your journey as a songwriter up until this point?

Epic! Definitely the road less traveled, to persevere in order to reach my goal of simply becoming!

Who are some of the artists who have inspired you the most?

Obviously, the Notorious Big; Jay Z, Pac, Nas, Kevin Gates, & Kodak Black.

Are there any upcoming releases or collaborations you’re excited to share?

Yeah, do it B.i.g. The Remix.

How do you connect with your fans and incorporate their feedback into your music?

Via TikTok and Instagram.

As a songwriter and artist, what advice would you give to those just starting out in the industry?

As an artist, know and clearly understand your brand. And that you are also a business, and be sure to function as such.

What’s one thing you’ve learned in your career that you wish you’d known sooner?

That my life experience is my best content inspiration.

Where do you see yourself in the next few years, and what are some of your career goals?

I see myself expanding my art to include other forms, such as crypto and NFTs. I think making a couple of hit records and maybe an award or two won’t be too much to ask.

JOE WORD

Tell everyone who you are and what you do.

Hello my name is Joseph Word but you can call me Joe. I’m the CEO of one up and coming international record company! Knows as La Familia Records! Not only that but I’m also one of the artists on there. I’m an every wellrounded individual period. Very talented in many areas of life and also in music! I’m a social butterfly also very selective

on whom I entrust and entertain around me. If the energy is off I’m not around it! That goes on all levels and elements! I’m very outspoken period as well and that can go two ways. My personality I’m a lovable person but don’t take my kindness for weakness! I’m an Aquarius! Lol!

What inspired I’m the Real Deal? Is there a specific story or moment that led to its creation?

Good question. It all began with my life as the underdog; my family, friends, and others have often overlooked me, including some of my peers in both romantic and non-romantic relationships. This journey has been years in the making, driven by my dream to make a difference not only in my bloodline but also in hip-hop and the music industry as a whole. The concept of this song revolves around the

constant doors being closed in my face and opportunities that seemed promising in theory but ultimately fell through. I experienced a significant amount of betrayal, and one day, feeling emotional, I started writing songs. During this thought process, the Line “I’m the real deal” came to me, and the beat also inspired me (shout out to Track Pros for the beat!). Additionally, my experience with a woman who, as they say in the streets, was testing my manhood as an artist and businessman, fueled my creativity. I wrote this song, and the rest is history!

Can you share what your songwriting process was like for this single? Was it different from your previous work?

When I receive a beat, whether I create it myself or my producer sends it to me, I play that beat for days, sometimes even weeks. This helps me understand the breakdowns, so I can add the chorus and determine where to start the first 16 bars, as well as where to conclude the song I have in mind. This is how I’ve always been since I took my craft seriously back in the late 1990’s.

Which artists or musical influences inspired the sound and message you create?

That’s a long list, lol, because it’s not just one artist! My influences range from gospel music and Motown to blues artists like Bobby Blue Bland and B.B. King, as well as Isaac Hayes, to name a few. My grandmother and mother would play this music around the house when I was younger, and my uncles, who were musicians, introduced me to everything from Rick James to Sade and everything in between. I’ve always been into hip-hop music since the late 80s. The first rap tape I listened to was by Too Short, and from then on, I soaked up influences from both coasts (East and West) as well as the South! I can also appreciate bands like Metallica and Guns N Roses, along with R&B artists like Freddie Jackson and Maxwell. So it’s not just one list; it’s a whole bunch of lists, lmao!

What were some challenges you faced in your career, and how did you overcome them?

Well lack of funds for one lol. But I’m making it happen finding the right people who see your vision and is there to help you achieve the goal and

not try to milk a situation for their own gain but I have ran into a lot of them type of people and then also I pray a lot and meditate also. To not allow what I can change. To change me as a person. So I have just took it step by step laying one brick down at a time it’s been a long process but long suffering does pay off!

Was there a moment during the production process that felt especially rewarding?

Yes, the fact that people are connecting with my music and my words is incredible.

I also had the opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl when it was held in Phoenix, Arizona, a couple of years ago. It had been a very long time since I performed in front of an audience, and it was an exhilarating experience. I really nailed it!

How important is it for you to stay true to yourself in your music, and how do you balance that with creating music that appeals to a wide audience?

It’s very important to be yourself. You can pretend for a long time, but eventually, your mask will come off, and people will see the real you. So why go through all that and waste energy? Just be yourself. I focus on creating songs that resonate with people—songs that express feelings they’ve had but didn’t know how to articulate. I’m also one of those people who didn’t have a voice, so when the opportunity arose, I seized it. And here I am!

Do you have any upcoming releases, collaborations, or performances you’re excited about?

Yes, I have a new single coming out! The release date is still under wraps, but it will be before the year is over. I’m open to collaborations and shows; while I don’t have any specific plans at the moment, we are actively working on that.

Where do you see yourself as an artist in the next five years?

I want to stabilize my brand and become a household name.

SAM VADAKEKUT

Can you share a bit about your journey—what inspired you to become a strategic wealth advisor and entrepreneur?

My journey is a testament to the power of faith and purpose. Growing up in a family where entrepreneurship and spiritual influence intertwined, I witnessed firsthand the potential for business to be a force for lasting good. This upbringing instilled in me a passion for helping others break free from the chains of financial bondage, to move beyond the endless pursuit of “more,” and instead discover the abundant life God intended for us all. I noticed the limitations in traditional wealth advisory, so I set out to explore a different approach. My goal is to find valuable lessons in ancient biblical principles and connect them with today’s financial realities. This journey has been a calling, equipping me to guide others in building wealth that not only sustains their lives but creates a lasting legacy, reflecting God’s love and impacting generations to come.

What pivotal moment in your life shaped your approach to business and wealth management?

There are moments in life that redefine us, that shatter our illusions and reveal a deeper truth. For me, that moment came through the crucible of business failure. It was a painful experience, one that stripped away my pride and forced me to re-evaluate everything I thought I knew about business success. Yet, it was in that very darkness that I discovered the bedrock of true prosperity: resilience, unwavering faith, and a commitment to eternal values. I realized that setbacks are not signs of defeat but opportunities for profound spiritual and professional growth. This experience reshaped my entire approach to business and wealth management, aligning it with God’s unwavering purpose and transforming my perspective from earthly gains to heavenly investments.

How has your personal background influenced your philosophy on wealth and success?

My personal background has been the fertile ground in which my philosophy on wealth and success has taken root. While exploring old biblical texts, I gained a

deep understanding of the deceptive power of materialism and how the constant chase for “more” can be unending. It was through renewing my mind with the teachings of Jesus— the Great Rabboni—on money, taxes, and eternal riches that I was able to cultivate a holistic approach to wealth. It’s an approach that nurtures the spirit, strengthens the mind, and secures financial well-being. For me, wealth is never just about personal gain. It’s a sacred tool, entrusted to us to create positive change, uplift our communities, and build a world that reflects God’s love and justice. True success isn’t just about the numbers; it’s about the impact we have on the lives of others and the legacy of faith and generosity we leave Behind.

What inspired you to write About My Father’s Business?

About My Father’s Business: Enslaved or Entrusted was born from a deep conviction that we are all children of God, each with a divine calling and purpose –each of us is about our Father’s business (Luke 2:49). My inspiration stemmed from an in-depth exploration of over 2,000 biblical scriptures on money and wealth, coupled with my own real-world experiences navigating the turbulent waters of business ownership. I witnessed firsthand the spiritual forces that subtly influence human desires, leading many into the enslaving mentality of chasing material possessions. I knew there had to be a way to break these chains. My book is a roadmap to freedom, a guide to aligning your wealth with God’s eternal purpose, and a testament to the truth that God is the ultimate owner of all things. We are called to be faithful stewards, multiplying His blessings with wisdom and strength. As Solomon, the wisest of men, wrote in Proverbs 10:22, “The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it.”

I hope that readers will discover a life of prosperity without the endless stress and worry that so often accompanies the pursuit of earthly riches.

Can you share the key message or lessons you hope readers take away from the book?

If there’s one key message I want readers to embrace, it’s this: Wealth,

viewed through a lens of biblical principles, is a transformative force for good. About My Father’s Business isn’t just a financial guide; it’s a journey of mindset transformation. The devotionals and workbook are designed to help you cultivate a heart of stewardship, revealing the often-unseen spiritual forces at play in our financial lives and redirecting your focus to God, our true Source. My deepest desire is for readers to grasp the profound truth that wealth is a tool for stewardship, impact, influence, and eternal significance. I want them to move beyond the limitations of earthly possessions and embrace a life of peaceful contentment, knowing that their financial journey is intertwined with their spiritual purpose, leaving a legacy that echoes through eternity.

You’ve studied money and wealth for 15 years—what are the most common misconceptions people have about wealth building? After 15 years of diving deep into the world of money and wealth, I’ve seen firsthand how easily people get led astray. One of the biggest misconceptions is the allure of “get-rich-quick” schemes – the false promise of instant wealth that often leads to financial ruin. The truth is, true wealth creation is a journey, a process fueled by faith, purpose, growth, and fulfillment. It’s not a frantic race to accumulate possessions

at the expense of family, health, and relationships. It’s about intentionally aligning your financial goals with your deeply held values, recognizing that wealth is a means to serve others, not an end in itself. Another dangerous misconception is the false separation of wealth and spirituality. Many believe these two worlds are mutually exclusive. I believe they are intrinsically linked. True wealthbuilding incorporates faith, values, and an unwavering commitment to making a positive impact while striving for financial success. This is echoed throughout the ancient texts. As the writer of Hebrews reminds us (13:5), “Keep your life free from the love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’” Contentment, not endless accumulation, is the cornerstone of lasting wealth.

What’s one strategic wealthbuilding principle that people often overlook?

If I could impart one often-overlooked strategic principle, it would be this: learn to make money work for you, rather than becoming enslaved to it. Many people find themselves trapped in a relentless cycle of trading time for money, never truly achieving financial freedom. The key is to develop passive income streams, invest strategically, and leverage financial tools to keep more of what you earn. Break free from the mindset of constant labor and instead create systems that generate wealth even while you sleep, allowing you to focus on your true purpose and make a meaningful impact in the world. Beyond that, the power of stewardship. People focus on accumulation, but they neglect the responsibility that comes with wealth. Stewardship involves managing resources wisely, investing in things that

create value, mitigating high risk, and using wealth to serve others. It’s about recognizing that we are not owners but stewards of what we have been given. When we embrace this principle, we unlock a whole new level of financial freedom and fulfillment.

How do you approach mentoring entrepreneurs and guiding them toward financial success?

My approach to mentoring is rooted in the belief that true success stems from a harmonious alignment of spirit, soul (will, emotion, mind), and body. I don’t just focus on the bottom line; I guide entrepreneurs in discovering their unique gifting, talent, and passion, empowering them to serve others through those gifts. Like a tree that freely gives its fruit, I teach them to create value for others, knowing that the more valuable their “fruit,” the more attract others to you and the more abundantly they will be blessed. My framework is simple: People, Purpose, Process, Profit. We start by clarifying their values, vision, and purpose. Then, we develop a strategic plan that aligns with their goals and values. I provide guidance on financial

management, investment strategies, and building a sustainable business model. But most importantly, I encourage them to embrace a stewardship mindset and to use their businesses as a force for good in the world. It’s not just about making money, but about building legacies that truly matter.

What upcoming projects or initiatives are you currently working on?

The journey continues! I’m passionately expanding the reach of About My Father’s Business with a series of books, devotionals, and workbooks designed to empower individuals to transform their mindsets and align their financial lives with God’s purpose. I’m also developing online courses and a college curriculum on biblical wealth management, seeking to equip the next generation with the tools and wisdom they need to thrive. I’m launching ABBA’s Business Community (ABC) and a holistic coaching series, where entrepreneurs can connect, collaborate, and receive guidance in building businesses that are both profitable and purpose-driven. Finally, I remain deeply committed to growing Optimal Wealth Strategy Group, my wealth advisory firm, where we provide values-based financial guidance and legacy planning to clients who share our passion for creating a lasting impact on the world.

AMY CHINIAN

Introduce yourself and share what you do.

I’m Amy Chinian, the founder of My Hair Helpers, and every day, I’m focused on making sure families have

the support they need when dealing with head lice. In my role, I oversee operations at our five Southern California salon locations and manage our in-home lice removal services. My team and I provide

personalized treatments, making sure each family feels cared for and confident in our process. In addition to providing lice removal services, I take great pride in our product line—

helping families get access to safe lice solutions through our enzyme-based products and specialized combs. My mission is to empower families, offer the best care possible and continue to expand our reach so more people can benefit from our services and products.

What inspired you to start My Hair Helpers?

What inspired me to start My Hair Helpers was a personal experience I had when I was pregnant with my fifth child in 2000. My family faced a lice infestation, and I quickly realized there were no safe, effective solutions available at the time. The existing products on the market weren’t working, and I couldn’t find anything that was both safe and effective for my family. This sparked a desire to help other families who were going through the same thing. Years later, when my family was hit hard by the 2007 recession, my husband’s business collapsed, and we were left without a stable income. With five kids to care for, I needed to figure out how to support my family. That’s when I decided to start offering in-home lice removal services, armed with a basket of carefully researched, non-toxic products. Through word of mouth and my commitment to helping families with compassion, My Hair Helpers grew into the thriving business it is today.

Can you share your journey as an entrepreneur and the challenges you faced in the early days? With no budget for marketing and no business experience, I started small— offering in-home lice removal services with just a red picnic basket filled with non-toxic lice treatment products that I had researched. In the beginning, it was tough. I was learning as I went, making mistakes along the way, like leaving bugs behind or struggling with long hair during a treatment. But I never gave up. I focused on delivering kind, effective and compassionate service, and slowly, word of mouth helped me build a reputation.

The early days were filled with challenges. There were financial struggles, mistakes in the process and a lot of trial and error. But what kept me going was my determination to help families and the belief that I could create a solution that worked better than what was available. Over time,

my reputation grew, and my business expanded, eventually leading to multiple salon locations and nationwide product availability.

What was the turning point that made you realize My Hair Helpers could be a successful business? The turning point that made me realize My Hair Helpers could be a successful business came after I had built a strong reputation for providing effective, compassionate lice removal services. In the beginning, it was just me, working hard to help families in need. But as word of mouth spread, I started to see that there was a real demand for safe, non-toxic lice treatments— something that wasn’t available at the time.

The moment I realized this could be a successful business was when families started seeking me out, even recommending my services to others. I saw the impact I was making. Families were relieved to find a solution that worked, and I was able to offer them a level of care and compassion that set my business apart.

What makes My Hair Helpers unique compared to other hair care products?

What makes My Hair Helpers unique compared to other hair care products is our commitment to provide safe, nontoxic and highly effective solutions for lice removal. Unlike many over- the-counter products that contain harsh chemicals and are often ineffective against “super lice” we’ve created a proprietary line of enzyme-based treatments that suffocate lice naturally and safely. Our products work quickly and effectively, without the use of toxic chemicals, making them safer for both kids and adults.

Additionally, My Hair Helpers stands out

because of our personalized, in-home lice removal services. We understand how stressful and emotionally taxing a lice infestation can be, so we bring the solution directly to families’ homes. This personalized approach, coupled with our dedicated follow-up care, ensures that families feel supported throughout the entire process. We don’t just treat lice—we provide peace of mind and eliminate the stigma that often surrounds it.

Can you share a success story from a customer who benefited from your products?

One of my favorite success stories comes from a young girl who had been struggling with lice for months. She had missed a significant amount of school because of the infestation and the stigma that came with it. Her family was distraught, and the situation had started to affect her confidence and social life.

When we treated her, we made sure to take extra care not only in removing the lice but also in providing education to her parents on how to prevent future infestations. The treatment worked, and a few days later, I received a call from her mom, telling me how much her daughter had blossomed. She had returned to school, and the positive impact was immediately evident—she was no longer embarrassed, and she even reconnected with friends she had been avoiding due to the shame of having lice. This story truly reinforced the mission of My Hair Helpers for me—it’s not just about getting rid of lice; it’s about helping children regain their confidence and feel themselves again. That young girl’s success story is a reminder of how our work touches lives in ways that go beyond just treatment—it’s about restoring a sense of belonging and joy for families.

How do you ensure that your products are safe, effective, and family-friendly?

Ensuring that our products are safe, effective and family-friendly is at the core of everything we do at My Hair Helpers. First and foremost, I’ve personally researched and tested every ingredient and product we use to ensure they meet the highest safety standards. Our treatments are made from enzyme-based, non-

toxic ingredients that are proven to suffocate lice without the harsh chemicals typically found in traditional lice treatments. This ensures that our products are safe for all ages, including young children and pregnant women, which was a huge factor when I started the business.

We also make sure that our products are effective by constantly evaluating their performance in real-world conditions. We receive feedback from our customers, and we are always refining our products based on that. I’ve seen firsthand how well they work, and we’ve developed a proprietary process that guarantees that our treatments eliminate lice quickly and completely. Beyond the formulation, we focus on the user experience to make sure our products are family- friendly. Our lice combs are designed to be gentle yet effective, making it easy for parents to use on their children. We also provide education on how to use our products properly and offer aftercare to ensure families remain lice-free. By combining safe ingredients, proven effectiveness and a commitment to customer care, we ensure that My Hair Helpers products are not only trusted but are also truly family-friendly.

How do you balance being a leader, innovator, and entrepreneur while managing a growing business?

Balancing my roles as a leader, innovator and entrepreneur while managing a growing business is a challenge, but it’s also something I’ve learned to embrace over the years. One key to balancing everything is staying focused on my mission and prioritizing what matters most—empowering

families and providing them with the best lice solutions. As a leader, I make sure to surround myself with a talented team of independent contractors and staff who share the same vision and passion. I trust them to carry out the day-today operations and provide exceptional service to our clients, which allows me to focus on the bigger picture. Delegating tasks has been essential for ensuring that our company continues to grow without burning out. Being an entrepreneur means wearing many hats, and while it can feel overwhelming at times, I rely on my faith and strong sense of purpose to guide me through. I believe in the work we’re doing, and that keeps me motivated. A big part of maintaining balance is also taking time for self-care, staying grounded and recognizing when I need to step back and recharge. I remind myself that the work we do is bigger than me, and I’m supported by a team that helps keep everything running smoothly.

What do you see as the future of My Hair Helpers? Are there new products or expansions in the works? The future of My Hair Helpers is incredibly exciting, and we’re on the verge of expanding in some amazing ways. One of my primary goals is to make My Hair Helpers a household name, not just for lice treatments, but for safe, effective and family-friendly hair care solutions overall. We’ve already started moving in that direction with the success of our proprietary product line available on Amazon and through our online store. I see this growing even more, and we’re exploring new products that address common hair concerns, like dandruff and hair loss, using the same non-toxic, enzyme-based approach that has been so successful for lice removal. We’re also planning to expand our physical presence. In the coming years, we hope to open additional salon locations across the country, making it easier for families everywhere to access our trusted

services. We’ve seen such a strong demand for our in-home treatments, and adding more salon locations will allow us to serve even more families, all while maintaining the personalized, compassionate care that sets us apart.

Another exciting aspect of the future for My Hair Helpers is the continued growth of our nonprofit, Lice Free Forever Charity. We’re working on expanding our charitable efforts to serve even more underserved communities. I envision taking our services to schools, orphanages, and disaster-stricken areas nationwide, ensuring that every child can return to school or social activities lice-free, regardless of their financial situation.

Where can people find My Hair Helpers, and how can they connect with you?

You can find My Hair Helpers at our five salon locations across Southern California, where we offer both inperson treatments and consultations. Additionally, our proprietary product line is available for purchase online through Amazon and our dedicated Shopify store, making it easy for families nationwide to access our safe, effective lice treatments.

PENNY FOSKARIS

Introduce yourself and what you do. I’m Penny Foskaris—a nutritionist, health coach, and founder of both Foskaris Wellness and Red Light Pro Devices. I specialize in helping clients reclaim their vitality using my innovative Longevity RX System. My approach combines personalized nutritional guidance—based on

real data—with cutting‐edge therapies such as red light therapy, light and sound therapy, and PEMF therapy to optimize overall health and combat the effects of aging. Additionally, I developed affordable red light therapy devices that work quickly, providing both clinicians and consumers with accessible, effective technology.

What inspired you to become an expert in anti-aging and longevity? My inspiration began with my own health struggles. After years of battling constant dizziness, pain, and fatigue— with traditional medicine providing few solutions—I discovered that holistic wellness was the key to true healing. This transformative experience

ignited my passion for exploring wellness and anti-aging solutions, empowering others to overcome their health challenges and proving that our lifestyle choices can profoundly influence how we age.

Can you share your personal journey into the wellness industry?

I spent several years facing debilitating health issues—constant pain, dizziness, and overwhelming fatigue. It wasn’t until I embraced holistic methods, identified key food sensitivities, and made personalized lifestyle changes that I finally experienced a breakthrough. That turning point led me to study nutrition extensively and dedicate my life to empowering others with the same transformative approach. Later, recognizing a gap in effective individual red light therapy devices, I developed Red Light Pro Devices to provide both consumers and practitioners with affordable, highquality solutions.

What are the biggest misconceptions people have about aging?

Many believe that aging inevitably means declining health and vitality. In reality, aging doesn’t have to be synonymous with deterioration. With the right strategies—nutrition, stress management, and innovative therapies—we can maintain energy, reduce inflammation, and even reverse some aging effects.

How do stress and mental health impact the aging process?

Chronic stress and poor mental health accelerate aging by fueling inflammation and disrupting hormonal balance. In my practice, I emphasize mindfulness and stress-reduction techniques because managing these factors is crucial for slowing the aging process and enhancing

overall quality of life.

What are the biggest dietary mistakes people make when trying to improve their health and longevity?

Many people underestimate their body’s caloric needs, especially if they have sedentary jobs, mistakenly believing they don’t require much fuel. Without proper assessments— like a body composition analysis—it’s hard to determine the true number of calories needed. Additionally, many fall into the trap of following fad diets without considering their unique nutritional requirements. They often overrestrict or rely on processed “health foods” instead of focusing on nutrient-dense, whole foods. I advocate for a personalized nutrition approach that tailors dietary choices to your body’s unique needs,

ensuring sustainable, long-term health and longevity.

If you could debunk one health myth, what would it be?

I’d debunk the myth that aging is predetermined solely by genetics. While genetics do play a role, lifestyle choices—such as proper nutrition, regular physical activity, and advanced wellness therapies—can dramatically influence how we age. We have the power to shape our health destiny.

What’s next for you and Foskaris Wellness? Any exciting projects or innovations on the horizon?

I’m developing an innovative digital Longevity RX at-home program that combines data-driven insights with biohacking devices—ensuring transformative care is accessible no matter where you are. Additionally, I’m working on a new cookbook featuring super delicious, healthy recipes that are easy to make, along with a YouTube video series where guest chefs showcase their favorite nutritious creations. Our mission is to empower people across America with accessible wellness solutions and healthy food options that are not boring.
