Cece Hymes Founder Keisha Evins Contributing WriterALLURE
Can you share a brief introduction to Allure for those who might be new to your music?
Sure, our debut album Allure was released in May of 1997. It was produced by The Trackmasters and we were the first artists to be released on Mariah Carey’s Crave Records. The album featured Nas, LL Cool J, Raekwon, and 112. In 2001 we released
Sunny Days with MCA records and in 2004 We released Chapter III with Ron (Mettaworld Peace) Artist on Tru Warrior /Lightyear records. We are New York natives, Akissa is from Spanish Harlem, Alia is from Brooklyn and I’m (Lala) from the Bronx. We grew up together and attended the “Fame” High school Fiorello H. LaGuardia of music and arts.
Allure is known for its distinctive R&B sound. Can you describe the musical style that defines the group? We like to describe our sound as soul rhythm and blues with a hip hop and pop feel. We really wanted our sound to represent all genres of music we love. We were such fans of groups like En Vogue and Ex-Girlfriend. For us, it was the harmonies, how to make those notes lend and create a beautiful sound…might I say an alluring sound. See what I did there.
Looking back on your career, what would you say are some of the most memorable moments or achievements for Allure?
I don’t think we ever thought that we would ever be on Billboard charts as much as we dreamed about it. As little girls we always loved music and knew that we wanted to sing, but being able to travel the world and see the way it touched people to us will always be one of the best feelings in the world when you go overseas to places who don’t really even know English and see them singing your songs in the audience and feeling that kind of energy is something that we would’ve never imagined.
How has the group’s music evolved over the years, and what factors have contributed to that evolution? We have always stayed true to our sound. It was something that was very important to us. Wanting to set ourselves apart from other girl groups. Knowing that
there were so many who influenced us, but always wanting to have our own individual look, sound, and especially when we’re on stage the energy. We always had an old sound for such young girls, because we grew up on music with substance so our music has always been very mature as far as lyrical content, but the evolution of our music changed with time, and we think that life and getting older and experiencing so many new things plays a huge part of that, but we will always stay true to the Allure sound.
Allure has achieved platinumselling status. Can you reflect on the experience of reaching such a significant milestone in your career?
Being able to hear your songs on the radio is one thing, but achieving platinum selling status on any of your work is definitely a dream come true. Seeing your name on Billboard chart next to so many other great artists…. Legends even is a blessing. Especially with all cried out, which was a remake by Lisa Lisa it achieved platinum status, 10 years after their release was insane to us. And we know that we owe it all to our fans because without them this would’ve never have been possible, so we always thank them for supporting us and making sure that we were heard. Even if we never experienced that again, that’s something that we can carry with us for the rest of our lives, and no one can take that from us.
Can you share details about any ongoing or upcoming projects that Allure is currently working on? We have a few things that are in the works. One thing about us; we do not like to give specific dates lol. We are very particular about projects we put out, so much that we sometimes take a long time before sharing because we want our vision to be pulled off as perfect as possible. We are currently working on our new podcast venture GAG (GrownAssGirls). We really will be letting people into our lives and showing how we, Allure; the Grown Ass Girls navigate
through this business of music. We are super excited and can’t wait to share. We are also a part of an independent movie film called LEGACY which is produced by ShanellRedFilms as well as a song on the soundtrack called Lovin’You. You guys can also check out our single “Like I Do” featuring DejhaB. You can still catch us on a stage near you. We are still blessed to do what we love.
What advice would you give to aspiring R&B artists looking to make their mark in the music industry? Our advice first and foremost is to always keep God first. We have been through many ups and downs and prayer has always got us through it. TRUST and BELIEVE in your gift! If we didn’t believe in ourselves and trust in the gifts we were given, we would have given up a long time ago. There will always be naysayers, haters and dream killers. You have to hold the confidence and the ability to block out the negativity. You got this! YOUR TEAM!! The people who are helping you do what you love. They’re the people who you trust and who want to see you win. Always stay true to who you are as an artist. There will be certain opportunities presented to you that may not be good for you and your artistry.
Are there lessons you’ve learned along the way that you wish you knew when starting your musical journey?
How did Allure come together as a group, and what inspired your journey into the music industry?
We came together as a group professionally in 1995. Growing up we would sing at family gatherings just for fun and that was when our families pushed us to take our talent seriously.
Wow! We have learned so many lessons throughout our musical journey. We can definitely say we went into this industry and business of entertainment naive, and nothing taught us better than the actual experience. We had to learn very quickly how to become business women. We came into this business just wanting to sing. But you have to know what’s going on. How much does this and that cost, why are we spending money on this? Who is that ordering food at our studio session and why we are paying for it? Recoupment is real!!!!
Where can fans follow Allure on social media to stay updated on your latest news and releases? You guys can follow us on All social media platforms @officialallure97 to keep up to date with new music, tour dates, projects, us being silly, etc. we appreciate you guys for all of your ongoing support and continue to keep the name Allure alive. We love you and God bless.
I am primarily an abstract painter, dabbling in fluid art, installation and vintage furniture restoration. Having grown up in a small farming community, my creativity was and still is inspired by life’s simple pleasures. Moments that may be overlooked are often where the most meaningful experiences are shared. The titles of my work reflect these moments: ‘Holding Hands on the Ferris Wheel,’ ‘Gram’s Vintage Printed China,’ ‘The Sound of my Cereal’ – things like that.
creativity, curiosity, and conversation. We prioritize accessibility and inclusion, ensuring that all feel embraced and valued. It’s been described as the “anti-art-gallery” as we really try and encourage fun, movement and participation. I showcase my own work along with featuring guest artists, performers and entertainers. I think Togetherland would have fit well with The Gilmore Girls’ Stars Hollow vibe!
Are there any specific projects or collaborations you’re currently working on thatyou’re excited about?
Always excited about collaboration!
KRISTEN HERRINGTON
Tell everyone who you are and what you do.
Hello friends! My name is Kristen Herrington, and I am an abstract painter, furniture designer and gallery owner from Nova Scotia, Canada. I believe in the art of conversation, community and curiosity, all of which are my guiding lights to curating a life that I love. I spent most of my life working in politics and just two years ago transitioned into fulltime entrepreneurship. I hope to inspire others to pursue their passions and purpose.
What inspired you to pursue a career as an artist, and how did you decide to open Togetherland Art Gallery?
I was always that person who loved being around creative people. I married a musician and often felt connected to the free-spirited nature of the artist’s lifestyle. I worked a high-profile corporate job for most of my adult life, but post-pandemic knew it was time to really listen to my soul and become that person I always admired. I kicked off this new life by
attending a month-long artist’s residency in Colombia, followed by a myriad of experiments, collaborations and taking lots of risks. Togetherland Art Gallery is a space I truly feel that I manifested for the greater good of my local community.
I wanted to develop a hub of events, workshops, concerts and connections. It has evolved into exactly that and I’m so proud to share art with the locals.
Can you share a bit about your artistic style and the themes that often resonate in your work?
As an author, what topics or genres do you explore in your writing, and how does it intersects with your artistic endeavors? I enjoy writing non-fiction. Recalling memories is a great way to reflect on where we come from and remind ourselves of how far we’ve come. My first co-authored book is a series of funny travel and relationship stories between me and my husband. We laughed a lot writing this book as we remembered the (often self-deprecating) experiences we had survived. Writing and art both act as a time capsule. They are the physical manifestation of our lived experiences. Tell us about your podcast. What subjects do you cover, and how does it tie into your broader artistic and creative pursuits?
Mike and Kristen, the podcast highlights stories of Nova Scotia artists, entrepreneurs and those living an alternative life. We want to normalize taking the road less traveled and explore themes of creativity, connection and lifestyle. Episodes are long-form, so we’re really able to tap into our guest’s backgrounds. We laugh, we cry, we philosophize and everything in between. We’ve been nominated for a few media awards and are proud to say all 102 (so far!) episodes have been recorded in our home studio. We have learned endless bits of wisdom and wonder from our guests and listeners. It’s one of my favorite creative projects as it feels deeply raw and human.
How do you balance your roles as an artist, author, podcaster, and gallery owner?
HA! I don’t know if I have that figured out just yet! I’m lucky that I have a partner who not only supports my work, but often collaborates with me. I try to take good care of my mind, body and spirit
and book down time the same as I would an important meeting. My best ideas often present themselves while on a walk in the woods or lazing around on vacation. The artist’s mind seems to always be working, so allowing some rest and separation I now consider part of that work.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I bought a 1972 Super Beetle in my late-20s and drive it all the way across Canada by myself. Her name was Isabelle and her babyblue exterior and packed to the rood interior drew a lot of attention. There are very few adventures I’ve said no to in my life.
As the owner of Togetherland Art Gallery, what kind of art do you aim to showcase, and what is the vision behind the gallery?
More than just a gallery, Togetherland is a vibrant gathering place pulsating with community spirit. Here, everyone is welcome to immerse themselves in
I am currently part of a group called Curiosity Club that launched this January 2024. LINDSAY DETWILER
Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got started as an author?
I was in my last year of college when I took a class called “The Literature of Health & Healing.” This class was all about chasing your dreams, and writing a book was my biggest dream. I went home from class one night and started writing what would become my first published book, Voice of Innocence. Since then, I’ve had 14 romance novels published and 8 thrillers, including my USA Today Bestseller The Widow Next Door with HarperCollins UK.
Let’s dive into “The Summer Song” Can you give us a brief overview of the book?
The Summer Song is a beach romance following the story of Tillie, who has moved back to her hometown after a failed business and relationship in the city. Her life has
hit rock bottom…and then she has a run-in with UK Popstar Leo Turner. After spending a summer together hiding from their own demons, the two realize there’s something between them. But can they make their vastly different worlds and circumstances work?
Were there any unique challenges or surprises you encountered while writing “The Summer Song”?
Anytime you dive into a new book, the challenge is always to climb inside the characters’ minds to genuinely portray their emotions, perspectives, and experiences. Tillie is a different kind of character than you usually find in a romance. She doesn’t have everything all figured out. We meet her in this book when her life is falling apart, so she’s not really at her best. That’s what was exciting to me, though getting the chance to watch her grow during the story and find who she really wanted to be.
Were there any valuable lessons you learned on your journey as an author?
I’ve learned to trust my gut. There will always be people telling you who you should be as a writer, what kinds of books you should write, and what they think of your work. You have to learn to quiet the noise and listen to your own writing heart, to tell the story you want to tell.
For aspiring authors, what advice do you have when it comes to writing and getting published?
Write the story you’re
passionate about. I think if you can find a story you have a longing to tell, it shows in the writing. Don’t try to force yourself to write what others want or what will make you popular; I think the real success you can enjoy in writing is knowing you told the story in your heart in a way that resonates with you.
Do you have any memorable interactions with readers that stand out to you?
Honestly, getting to meet my readers at book events or online is always exciting to me. I have never forgotten how badly I wanted to see my name on the cover of a book, to have just one person read my stories. It always is magical to me that the stories in my head end up on shelves around the world. I’m truly grateful for everyone who gives my stories a space on their shelves and their reading list.
Outside of your own work, do you have any favorite books or authors?
I have so many! I love Stuart James, Ruth Ware, Liane Moriarty, and Jojo Moyes, just to name a few! I also am a huge fan of Cormac McCarthy’s The Road and Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale.
Can you share any details about your upcoming projects or works in progress?
I am currently working on a book on the thriller side of things. It is a vampire romance series, and book one is called The Curse of Blood & Bone. I’m so excited about this one because it has a gothic Victorian feel with a whole lot of dark romance. It’s something I’ve always wanted to write. I also have a sweet romance coming out later this year called The Holiday Bake-Off with Harpeth Road.
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
I have achieved so many of my writing goals, but I still have big writing dreams I’m chasing. I am chasing the NYT Bestseller’s list. I would love to be writing full-time, telling the stories on my heart.

ROBIN MCKELLE
Tell everyone who you are and what you do.
I’m a jazz/soul vocalist from Rochester, NY now living in Paris. I have recorded 9 full length albums and 1 Christmas EP :) My latest album, Impressions of Ella, includes some of my favorite’s tunes performed by Ella Fitzgerald and features Kenny Barron on piano.
Can you share a bit about your musical background and how you first discovered your passion for jazz and soul music?
I grew up in a very Musical home, my mother is also a singer and musician. I studied piano from the age of 5 and was on stage singing in musicals from the age of 8. I always knew I was going to have a career as a singer, but I just had to figure out what path I would take. In high school I studied classical voice and musical theater but, on the weekends, I was performing at a party band where I would sing anything from Janis Joplin to Aretha Franklin.
I loved R&B and soul music and I felt torn between 2 different worlds. I was introduced to Jazz by playing piano in the jazz band. This was where I first heard Ella Fitzgerald amongst other singers. I like the density of the chords and I was excited to find out I could study jazz and make that my focus in college.
So, I was off to University Miami to begin my jazz studies adventure. I ended up transferring to Berklee College of Music where I finished my degree in Professional Music. From there I moved to LA where I toured as a backing vocalist for a few years but quickly I realized I wanted to be out front and pursued my solo artist career!
Let’s talk about your new album “Impressions of Ella” and the motivation behind the song. The motivation behind my album, “Impressions of Ella” was to return back to my jazz roots after doing several different style projects. I wanted to get back to the repertoire that began my career and by choosing the music of Ella, I was able to reconnect with the classic jazz standards but with a different inspiration. After having some time away from traditional jazz I felt I was able to interpret the music with so much more life experience.
How do you feel your music has evolved over the course of your career, and what factors have contributed to that evolution?
I am always trying to find new ways to express myself through my music. I feel that it’s important to push myself outside of my comfort zone even though sometimes I’m so resistant to it. I always strive to be a better singer, songwritter and performer. I don’t think it’s good to be complacent. Trying diffident sounds/ styles along with different combinations of musicians helps to keep things fresh and also pushes me and inspires me differently.
What is one of the most memorable moments you’ve had in your career? I’m so fortunate to have had a long and successful career and so many amazing moments. Performing a duet with Bobby
McFerrin, opening up for BB King in Paris, recoding with Kenny Barron and singing with soul legend, Bobby Rush. But some of the most memorable moments for me are when my parents were able to be present. Most recently I played 4 sold out shows at Birdland in NYC and my parents were able to be there so it was very special.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I love to cook and create good cocktails!
Are there any upcoming albums, collaborations, or performances on the horizon?
Yes!! I am writing music now and will be recording a new jazz trio album of originals soon! In March, I’ll be performing the first of many symphonic orchestra performances featuring the music from Impressions of Ella in Germany.
If you could perform anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would have to say The Apollo because of all the history there and because one of my favorite albums ever was recorded live there! “James Brown, live at the Apollo”.

I’m James Suter, Co-Founder and Director of Black Bean Productionswe produce films and photographs for a range of clients. We are passionate about documenting humanitarian and environmental cause related stories and projects. We also do commercial work and love filmmaking and are a small dynamic team of creatives but we are passionate about creating content that has an impact in the real world. I also channel my passion for the African bush as a Private Guide (I used to be a Game Ranger fulltime) crafting bespoke private safaris across the African continent.
JAMES SUTER
importance of building authentic connections and capturing cinematic tones in our films - that capture not only what is in front of us but the emotion behind it too. Connecting with people is so key and with nature - and it gives us so much joy while we are filming. It has also been helpful that I am a Guide - in terms of filming wildlife and navigating certain wildlife encounters.
What inspired you to become a private guide and game ranger, and how did your journey into conservation and filmmaking unfold?
My father’s love for nature ignited my own passion for the bush, leading me to train as a Game Ranger at Singita Game Reserve after my studies. Being exposed to the wonders
What challenges do you encounter in your efforts to balance conservation and humanitarian work with your role as a guide and ranger?
Juggling my roles as a filmmaker, Private Guide, and father presents its challenges, but my dedication to both the bush and filmmaking drives me to find a sustainable balance. The real story is happening at home - and I do love my work and am fortunate that my wife and children do get to travel on film shoots with me from time to time. We love our plot and home life.
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
I find fulfilment in the work I do, envisioning impactful projects like our
upcoming venture to support non-profit organisations through film, amplifying their voices in the digital realm. We have started our Connect Foundation - the non-profit arm of Black Bean Productions and are excited to see it grow. I have also made some incredible connections in the private guiding space - and am excited to embrace new adventures and share Africa with more people.
Let’s talk about “Black Bean Productions” and the motivation of the media production company. Our first film was a passion project - an anti-poaching film for SANParks Honorary Rangers. We borrowed a camera and went to film what was happening at the start of the poaching crisis in South Africa to share it in the hopes that it would help teams on the ground fighting poaching. From passion projects like this one and us producing films in response to the need for video content to showcase lodges and incredible parts of Africa, Black Bean Productions evolved into a platform highlighting conservation efforts and humanitarian work, fueled by collaboration and shared passion within our team. We love our commercial work and clients too. We love our craft - filmmaking - every project and film is so unique.
Are there specific regions or wildlife conservation issues that you are particularly passionate about?
While I don’t have a singular cause I’m more passionate about, protecting wild spaces remain paramount, emphasising the preservation of natural habitats for future generations and space for wildlife.
I feel so strongly that re- wilding areas and protecting what we have now is paramount. Wildlife corridors, big picture projects - I am passionate about this in the way that it is connected to all the other causes related to the work we do. People are a huge part of this and its often forgotten - people are a part of it all - and if we don’t work with this in mind we will fail.
Can you share any upcoming projects or expeditions you’re excited to be a part of in the near future?
Our current project, “Elephant Alone,” delves into the story of the last freeroaming elephant in South Africa - in the Knysna forest - shedding light on conservation challenges and community dynamics in South Africa. It is an important and fascinating story and we will work hard to tell the story in the most authentic and truthful way and hope we can make an impact through this film and story - local extinction is happening in many places globally and putting an end to this should be a focus.
Where can people follow your journey and stay updated on your conservation and filmmaking work? Stay connected with me on Instagram @jamessuter and our production company @blackbeanproductions, where we share our journey, films, and passion projects like “The Matriarchs” sharing stories of incredible women in the conservation and humanitarian space and “Elephant Alone” our upcoming documentary.
DR. ADOLPH “DOC” BROWN
Tell everyone who you are and what you do.
I am a veteran educator, researchscientist, clinical psychologist, TV host, husband, father of 8, and one of God’s many children. My life experiences as
an expert in human and organizational behavior has helped me to create professional development opportunities, where most organizations continue to book me year after year. I’m proud that my work has awe-struck participants adamantly
Can you share the inspiration behind your work as a Clinical Psychologist and TV host of The Parent Test?
As America’s child and family clinical psychologist, an award-winning master teacher, and the Host and Parent Expert on the Emmynominated ABC series “The Parent Test, I got an aptitude for learning from Head Start, a national child development program for children from birth to age 5, and my inspiration for life from my mother, my aunt Lorraine, and my grandfather.
How do you balance your roles as a mental health professional, TV host, and author?
I’ve had a diverse range of experiences; I believe the following lessons can benefit others:
i. Focus on what you can control.
ii. Be mindful of your judgments.
iii. Be grateful & extend grace.
iv. It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish!
What is one fun fact about yourself?
requesting me again and again after being involved in the most engaging, thought-provoking, motivating, and humorous event of their professional careers. I consider it an honor to have become known in the master class arena as being “delightfully different.”
I became a clinical psychologist and research anthropologist because of my love of human nature. I’ve always been intrigued by the ways in which we act, think, and feel as well as how these behaviors influence all aspects of our lives. The mental health profession was also instrumental in helping me deal with the murder of my oldest sibling and only brother, Oscar, when I was eleven years old. I know the power of “revealing the pain in order to heal from the pain.”
As an author, what motivated you to write, and what themes or messages do you aim to convey through your books?
As a tenured full professor, I had to extensively write, edit, peer review, and publish research articles in my field of human and organizational behavior with a focus on marriage, children, and families. My entire village including my parents, the barbershop, church community, etc. wanted to read my research latent works. Needless to say, it wasn’t what anyone was expecting. This is when I made a huge commitment to inclusivity and to a fairly large fan base of individuals who have difficulty reading and/or who are intimidated by reading. Over the years as a university professor, I have often believed I unintentionally excluded these individuals when I wrote textbooks and other forms of scholarly material. Today I’m proud to say that my popular books are fairly short, easy-to-read books on modern day psychology to overcome today’s challenges while reflecting the inclusiveness of ALL.
I balance my roles as a mental health professional, TV Host, and author by prioritizing my self-care. My discipline and structure also contribute to this welloiled machine.
Can you discuss any memorable or impactful moments from your career that have left a lasting impression on you?
I’ve had many memorable and impactful moments in my career. Many of the most heartfelt encounters have been with students. I am often invited to present various master classes to students. My favorite is “Character, Choices, & Consequences.” Following these events, I’ve had gang-affiliated students denounce their involvement and hand me their “flags.” I’ve also had a student give me a gun that he planned to use following an event.
As someone with a diverse range of experiences, what lessons have you learned that you believe could benefit others?
Here are two fun facts about me. I was a collegiate pole vaulter and my freshman record still stands at the College of William and Mary. I am also a humorist, equal parts silly and serious.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could go anywhere in the world, I would go to Henan, China to study more Kung Fu at the Shaolin Temple. As a member of the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame, I believe this would broaden my horizons.

ALIZA LICHT
FOUNDER OF LEAVE YOUR MARK AND AUTHOR OF ON BRAND
Tell everyone who you are and what you do.
After over 25 years working in the fashion industry, today I’m a brand strategy consultant for businesses and individuals, the author of two books, Leave Your Mark and ON BRAND, the host of the Leave Your Mark podcast, and a keynote speaker on personal branding.
As an award-winning marketer, entrepreneur, and author, can you share some key milestones that have shaped your professional journey? I was pre-med in college and had a massive change of heart in my junior year. Landing an internship at Harper’s Bazaar with zero relevant experience was the first pivotal milestone in my journey. That led to my first job at Marie Claire magazine. After two years there, I felt stifled and decided to take a risk and try my hand at public relations. I didn’t have PR experience either, but I pitched my worth by explaining how I understood PR through my work on the editorial side of the business.
With PR people pitching me all day in my role as an assistant accessories editor, I knew who was good at their job and why. I modeled that behavior. I landed my first role at DKNY in PR and worked my way up for 17 years during fashion’s heyday. Late 90’s and early 2000s of magazine prominence, fashion shows, and celebrity dressing. I had a dream job! The biggest defining moment of my career was when I created an anonymous social media personality, DKNY PR GIRL, on behalf of my brand. I took this on in addition to my role as SVP of Global Communications in 2009. DKNY PR GIRL is recognized as a pioneer in social media and an example of one of the first fashion influencers.
I was this persona for six years and was revealed as the person behind the Twitter handle in 2009. This role landed me my first book deal when an editor approached me to write a book. Leave Your Mark: Land Your Dream Job. Kill It In Your Career. Rock Social Media was published in 2015. From there, I left my longtime role and began consulting. In 2019, I launched the Leave Your Mark podcast which has garnered over 1.3 million downloads and this past year I published my second book, ON BRAND: Shape Your Narrative. Share Your Vision. Shift Their Perception, which is a continuation of my first book
and a comprehensive guide to building a personal brand. I am proud.
How do you balance your roles as a consultant, entrepreneur, and podcast host, and how do they complement each other in your career?
Well, for starters, I am a Gemini. I am a master communicator and juggler. I am extremely protective over my time and great at saying no. I get bored easily, so I need variety to keep me sane. I am always looking for a new project!
Your book, “Leave Your Mark,” is widely acclaimed. What inspired you to write it, and what are the main messages or advice you aim to convey to your audience?
As the DKNY PR GIRL personality, part of my content strategy included dishing out career advice to aspiring young professionals or people interested in working in fashion PR. An editor from Grand Central Publishing was following me on Twitter, reading my blog, and called me cold one day to see if I would be interested in writing a book. I was flattered, but I said no. I was a corporate executive with a demanding job and two little kids. I saw no way to write a book. She was pushy, lol.
Eventually, I gave in when I realized I was saying no because I was scared. I rebranded that fear and said yes despite it. Leave Your Mark is like The Devil Wears Prada meets career advice. It’s how work works. It’s ideal for anyone in college and their early professional journey, but it’s a juicy read for anyone at any age!
As a consultant, what are some common challenges you help businesses navigate, and what strategies do you find most effective in your consulting work?
I offer my services as a fractional CMO but tend to focus on digital strategy with an emphasis on storytelling and content. This is a very nuanced business where you have to be immersed in the platforms yourself to truly understand best practices. I am.
Can you share insights into your podcast and the topics you explore? How does hosting a podcast contribute to your overall mission and professional growth?
Leave Your Mark offers freshly brewed career advice weekly. My guests are accomplished in their fields, and they aim to share tactical career advice people can employ immediately. I started it because I wanted to extend the life of my book but also to be creative during a time when I felt like I wasn’t. It’s an incredible way to meet new people and also learn about topics you’re interested in. People love being on podcasts!
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
I plan to grow my brand and platforms and speak more, which I love doing.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I stuttered as a child and right through college. Today, I spoke in front of hundreds, have done live television on Good Morning America, The Today Show, and more. Growing up that would have never seemed possible but with hard work you can overcome anything. Never count yourself out!
As a seasoned professional, what lessons have you learned along the way that you believe are valuable for others in the business world?
Your reputation is everything. Be a collaborator. Lift other people up. Be gracious and grateful. It all comes back tenfold.
Where can people access your podcast, and how can they stay updated on your latest projects and insights?
www.alizalicht.com, and my podcast is available anywhere you listen to podcasts. My books are on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and more.
