Then he said, “Then, tell me about Ihsan (spirituality).” The Prophet (s.a.w.) said, “It is that you worship and serve Allah as if you see Him; if you do not see Him, know that He sees you.” Beware of the Dajjal. He is one-eyed and wants you to focus solely on the physical, the worldly life, the external. Internal

Allah is your Lord. He is not one-eyed. He wants you to focus on the physical and the spiritual, the fleeting life of this world and the eternal life to come, the internal and the external. Ihsan is that your external worship and your internal intentions to serve Allah is as if you see Him; if you do not see Him, know that He sees your external worship and sees your internal intentions. Ihsan is that you make your internal and external in agreement. Internal and External
Ihsan Then he said, “Then, tell me about Ihsan (spirituality).” The Prophet said, “It is that you worship and serve Allah as if you see Him; if you do not see Him, know that He sees you.” “Indeed, Allah is Knower of the unseen aspects of the heavens and earth. Indeed, He is Knowing of that which is within the hearts.” (35: 38) “And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Approaching Day, when hearts are at the throats, filled with distress. For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor who is obeyed. He knows that which deceives the eyes and what the hearts conceal.” (40: 18-19) “Ihsan is that you worship and serve Allah as if you see Him; if you do not see Him, know that He sees you.” “And We have already created man and We know what his soul whispers to himself, and We are closer to him than his jugular vein. When the two angels record, seated on the right and on the left. Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared to record. And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid.” (50: 16-18) “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. Indeed, it is Allah who is the continual Provider, the firm possessor of strength.” (51: 56-58) “He created you from one soul. Then He made from it its mate, and He produced for you from the grazing livestock eight mates. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, within three darknesses. That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs dominion. There is no deity except Him, so how are you averted? If you disbelieve - indeed, Allah is Free from need of you. And He does not approve for His servants disbelief. And if you are grateful, He approves it for you; and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you about what you used to do. Indeed, He is Knowing of that which is in the hearts.” (39: 6-7) “To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth. Indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy. And if all the trees upon the earth were pens and the sea was ink, supported by seven more seas, the words of Allah would not be exhausted. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise. The creation and resurrection of all of you will be like the creation and resurrection of a single soul. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Seeing.” (31: 26-28) “Ihsan is that you worship and serve Allah as if you see Him; if you do not see Him, know that He sees you.” “Indeed, I have relied upon Allah, my Lord and your Lord. There is no creature but that He holds its forelock. Indeed, my Lord is on the straight path.“ (11: 56) “And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?” (54: 17)
