Volume 1 Issue 3

Tribes, Jamaats, Group Economics

In the Name Of God the Most Gracious the Most Merciful Recap of the last issue: Tribal families, your extended families, are the true building blocks of a healthy society. Only through the connection and support of tribal families can we create and retain generational wealth. The tribal family coupled with generational wealth is necessary for the individual to maintain an emotional and physical stability.

What will be your legacy? In historical terms, a legacy is something that is handed down from one period of time to another period of time. Legacy is about life and living. It is about learning from the past, living in the present, and building for the future. With that said, what will be your legacy and why is it important to your present life? The running theme for volume 1 of this newsletter is “Tribes, Jamaats, Group Economics”. The purpose of this newsletter is to address problems within our society and present solutions, by the permission of Allah. Tribes, communities, and group economics are our foundation. We can not devise solutions for our problems if we do not understand our foundation. So, what will be your legacy? “And present to them an example of two men: We granted to one of them two gardens of grapevines, and We bordered them with palm trees and placed between them fields of crops. Each of the two gardens produced its fruit and did not fall short thereof in anything. And We caused to gush forth within them a river.” (Al-Qur’an 18: 32 – 33) My life-goal is to establish a network of micro-villages and communities. Each village will have its own food forest. A food forest, if properly established, will continue to provide food for many decades with little or no maintenance. In addition, I will teach my family and community the knowledge of planning food forests and give them the tools to do so. Thus, I must lay out the plans for my legacy and empower the next generation to continue the legacy. Empowerment means to teach a man how to fish, give him the bait and tackle, then show him where the fish are biting. So, what will be your legacy?

Plant a fruit tree In five years it begins to bear fruit.

At maturity it will produce 200 lbs. of fruit every year. And will continue to do so for over 100 years. Thus is the way of legacies.

The Islamic Strategy

1. Islam, Jama’ah, and the Islamic Village 2. Build alliances with Indigenous communities 3. Acquire property within or next to the Indigenous community 4. Extend network

Never think that you don’t have what it takes to accomplish great things. Join our Jamaat (we are recruiting), plan well, work hard and place your trust in Allah. Those things which are hard to achieve as an individual become easier when the work is shared in a group. “ If you know the enemy and know yourself, your victory will not stand in doubt; if you know Heaven and know Earth, you may make your victory complete.” - Sun Tzu
