Let’s Chat This time of year is filled with generous giving and appreciation for the gifts we receive. At The Community Foundation, we are grateful for those who have entrusted us with funds for the community, today, tomorrow, and always. In this issue of Legacy, we celebrate giving. We introduce a gift from one local couple that provides a match to raise endowed funds for a favorite organization. You’ll also read about a special match just in time for year-end – an opportunity to TRIPLE all gifts to The Unrestricted Fund or any named unrestricted fund. You’ll learn more about the impact of unrestricted funds and celebrate Unrestricted Champions. We also invite you to consider a special opportunity to start your own named unrestricted fund to have an everlasting impact on the community. Are you interested in learning more about giving this year? It’s not too late. Give us a call. We are ready to talk with you! Marcy Minton President & CEO

Dave and Deb Heeter

Dave and Deb Heeter make Muncie a great place to live, work, and play. Over the last several decades, they have given their time, talent, and treasure to support the causes that matter most to them – health, housing, education, and more. This year, Dave and Deb are making a significant gift to the YMCA of Muncie. Their gift will be split – part will support the new facility and the rest will support the YMCA forever through the YMCA of Muncie Fund at The Community Foundation. Dave and Deb’s endowment gift of $100,000 will serve as a match to encourage others to give to support the YMCA. Will you step up to the challenge? Your gift to the YMCA of Muncie Fund at The Community Foundation will be matched by the Heeters and support the work of the YMCA today, tomorrow, and always.
